- Homework (to start in class): Write three (short) paragraphs about the person you interviewed on Monday (or a person you invent, if you weren’t here Monday). The paragraphs should be
- 1 Background/introduction (e.g. name, origin, job in home country)
- 2 Present (why English? where in Boston? hobbies?)
- 3 Future/conclusion (plans, goals, future job)
- ---
- Read what your partner wrote.
- - Does each paragraph have a good topic sentence with a controlling idea?
- - Is the information they wrote the same as what you told them on Monday?
- - Is the organization clear and correct?
- - Are all the sentences correct? (Specifically, check for fragments.)
- Work with your partner to fix mistakes that you find in both responses.
