  3. I wasn't gonna refute all of your points but fuck it, I pretty much have to. The shallowness and lack of detail is astounding. The record needs to be set straight before anyone actually takes this video seriously.
  4.
  5. 1) OoT's story is very shallow and basic. It's the typical "hero save's maiden" scenario. It's literally the textbook "hero's journey" format. Majora's Mask was much darker and had a lot more nuance to it. Coping with death, loss, not being able to save everyone, acceptance and forgiveness, all of these were touched on in Majora's Mask. That's also why it didn't jive with everyone, because it broke the "Zelda" mold.
  6.
  7. 2) The time limit was set on purpose to invoke urgency, but at the same time, you're able to freely go back in time, as well as slow time down with a certain ocarina song. On top of that, you're free to revisit any area/temple after resetting. The game teaches you how to manage your time. Rather than try do everything at once, you're forced to do all of the important stuff during your current cycle, and then do the odds and ends in the next cycle. It didn't make the game harder, it just makes you play differently.
  8.
  9. 3) Termina was just fine. In the beginning of the video, you clearly state this game was made in as little time as possible. Visual quirks like this can be forgiven... and besides, this is a N64 game. Be reasonable. At least Termina had variety, while Hyrule Field was just a giant patch of green.
  10.
  11. 4) Not only does the Hylian Shield look fine in this game, but you actually aren't stuck with it for the whole game. If you'd fully played the game, you'd know that during the last 1/4 of the game, you get the mirror shield. What's more, if you hate seeing it so much, you could have just as easily used a transformation mask to hide it. Plus, the Hylian Shield looks slightly different in almost every Zelda game anyway.
  12.
  13. 5) You actually don't use the small sword for the entire game. Again, if you'd have played the game, you'd know that if you do the Goron race in the mountain area, you win another bottle (full of gold dust) that you can use at the blacksmith. When pay the blacksmith, you get the Razor Sword which is good for 100 uses. If you talk to the blacksmith again and offer the gold dust, he'll turn the Razor Sword into the Gilded Sword, which is a golden/red sword that's actually LONGER than the Master Sword, and does the most damage of the 3 swords, and is a permanent upgrade. You can get this sword as early as the 2nd area of the game. On top of that, if you get every fairy in the final temple, you actually get the Great Fairy's Sword, which is this game's version of the Big Goron's sword, but you equip it with C and it actually looks cooler (it has roses etched in it), and it does CRAZY damage. C'mon...
  14.
  15. You also don't play as Child Link the whole time. Every temple requires you to use the related transformation mask to beat it, and the final dungeons require use of ALL THREE. And besides, playing as a deku scrub, a goron, and a zora (with special abilities, mind you) is a hell of a lot cooler than just playing as a taller version of Link. By comparison, in MM you're in human form maybe only half the time. Tops.
  16.
  17. 6) Every temple in Majora's Mask is a lot harder than in Ocarina of Time, and the themes are actually more apparent and creative than in OoT. The devs knew there would only be 5 total main temples (as well as a few pretty cool mini dungeons that you never mentioned), so the devs made up for this by giving the temples more detail. It isn't that the areas lacked a theme, it's that their theme was more complex and interesting. It wasn't as simple as just "fire" or "water". The Stone Tower Temple is the only temple you mention, and was creative/cool as fuck. You beat the temple once, and then again fucking upside down, and the design still made sense. Say what you want, but that's some of the coolest fucking level design I've seen in any game, period.
  18.
  19. As far as the bosses go, the ones in OoT were just as weird as the one's in MM. You make fun of the Twin Mold boss in MM, and totally neglect to mention Bongo Bongo from OoT... you know, the invisible, dismembered torso with huge floating hands banging on a giant drum sitting in a pool of acid?
  20.
  21. 7) Ganon is the typical evil antagonist who's power hungry. Skull Kid (possessed by Majora's mask) was a former friend of Tatl and Teal (the fairies) who was too mischievous for his own good. Ganon is one-dimensional as fuck, while Skull Kid had depth. He was an innocent child who's mischeif led him into being possessed by a sadistic spirited mask, and then as a result actually harming/abusing his friends. After the game ends, he actually asks for forgiveness and it's pretty heartbreaking. AT least you can relate and eympathize with Skull Kid. Ganondorf was an evil meat head. And btw, read a dictionary. Majora just means major or large, and minora means minor or small. It isn't exclusively a vagina part, it's just a descriptor.
  22.
  23. 8) The stray faeries are actually worth getting. The ones in Woodfall give you your classic magic spin attack, the Snowhead fairies give you your extended magic meter, the Great Bay ones give you the double defence (white outlined hearts), and Stone Tower ones give you the OP-as-fuck Great Fairy's Sword. Again, you'd know this if you actually played the game.
  24.
  25. Btw, every mask in the game has a defined purpose. If the mask has no obvious effect, then it's a device needed in order to progress a side quest to get another mask (with an effect), or even a whole item. The Breman Mask (the chicken one) is used help a dude's baby chicks become fully grown chickens before the 3 day cycle ends. When you do, he rewards you with the Bunny Hood (which makes you run twice as fast).
  26.
  27. 9) Soundtrack is totally subjective. Again, several songs and sound effects were recycled because like you said, this game was made under a limited amount of time. You keep seeming to forget your own words. The music in MM is just as good as the music in OoT.
  28.
  29. Your reasons were weak as fuck. Having an opinion is one thing, but giving opinions on elements of a game you obviously haven't fully played of fully understand is entirely another.
