For Old Times Sake

>It’s been many years since you arrived in this land, picked up the orphan Scootaloo, raised her, did some adventures and all.
>She’s grown up, quite well you think.
>Scootaloo went from a hyper little filly to quite the mare.
>You’re damned proud.

>The years have been kind to you. You’ve maintained an exercise regime, eaten well, and did your best to take care of yourself.
>You managed to remain somewhat chaste for the most part... with a handful of exceptions.
>You’re a man and occasionally.... well you won’t get into that.
>That’s not what’s on your mind anyways.
>Because your little girl is getting married.

>You gotta say, Snips sure grew up.
>The awkwardness of youth replaced and he matured into a decent Stallion.
>Still has those weird eyebrows though.
>He’s still not good enough for your girl, but that’s just your fatherly pride speaking.
>You still remember the day they went on their first date.
>Oh how you doted. “Sundown curfew, Where exactly will you all be, Don’t forget to hit for the balls.”
>You may or may not have enlisted the help of Fluttershy to keep an eye on them.
>Oh how furious were you when you came home one day to find them making out on the couch?
>You thought she’d never talk to you again.
>But he was always good to her. Never put any pressure on her that you saw.
>Was as supportive of her as you had always been.
>Honestly, you were just afraid of being the #2 man in her life.

>The day quickly approaches, and you and Scoots are busy packing her room.
>You’re all almost done.
>You carefully roll her Wonderbolts poster and put it away.
>She’s in her closet and pulls out the little scooter you made for her all those years ago. She’s long since outgrown it and made her own to fit her size.
>She lays it on the bed and you two reminisce for a while.
>”Guess you’ll pass it on for when you two have kids huh?” You say, running your hand over it.
>She chuckles “That won’t be for a while.... I want you to keep it dad.” You look at her somewhat confused. “You know, so you don’t forget me.”
>You sit on the side of her bed. “I don’t think that’s anywhere near possible sweety.”
>She lays a head on your shoulder. “I know dad, it’s just...”
>You know. She’s no longer your little girl anymore. “I’ll keep it and remember all the good times we had.”
>She laughs and wraps you in a hug. “Will still have! I’m just getting married dad, I’ll still be around.”
>Yeah, she’ll ALWAYS be your little Scoots.
