  1. Hey Zero! My names OhBizzle, I said i'd try to put a build together for you in your stream, long time fan of yours and i'm happy to see you doing so well lately! Anyways to the build.
  2.
  3. Heres the link, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/yVGQcf - I definitely put thought into the build and it is over your goal of $1000, there are plenty of people who would be able to give you good advice on the build so I would ask around and have people look over it but I am confident it will fit your needs. I want to explain each part by part.
  4.
  5. Intensity Shuttle - Let me start here because this is the biggest concern to the build, I know you already have one so I haven't included it into the build and I know how it important it is because it exports excellent quality and is the only capture card I know of that realtime (lagless) converts from 480p (Component) to 480i (Composite). The issue is according to the Intensity Shuttle Technical Specs, it requires a P55 or X58 Motherboard (http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/intensity/techspecs). These motherboards are already 4 years old, which would mean you would be getting a 4 year old processor, not to mention these motherboards are not even sold retail so you would have to get it used. IMO this is not an option. However the new motherboards have reports of it working (http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=24836), especially when paired with the required Renesas NEC USB 3.0 Host Controllers, which I have included in the build. There are now options for lagless Wii play on monitors if you decide to use a new capture card with your new system (for example one that supports 1080p/60fps) but i'll talk about that later.
  6.
  7. CPU - I picked the i5-4670K (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i54670k). Intel processors are the fastest, most stable processors available. They are a little bit pricer though, I highly recommend you stick with at least a new generation Intel i5. Dolphin performance is highly dependent upon processor speed, "Equal" AMD processors do not perform nearly as well in Dolphin. I know you want to use this computer for Netplay so this is very important. Your CPU will also directly effect your performance for rendering video, and can increase stream quality (By switching from Very Fast to Fast in x264 for example you will increase quality per bit rate but also increase processor usage). You may also want to consider going up to an i7 but this will cost an extra $100
  8.
  9. CPU Cooler - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2 / http://pcpartpicker.com/part/arctic-silver-thermal-paste-as535g : You need a CPU cooler, the stock one does not work well. This decreases your temperature on your CPU greatly decreasing the chance your processor will overheat (especially with those 24 hour streams, and rendering lots of video). You need the thermal paste to apply the cooler onto the CPU, nice thermal paste also helps decrease temperature.
  10.
  11. Motherboard - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-maximusvihero : This motherboard has everything you need. Good spacing of parts, supports your processor, gigabit ethernet ports, lots of SATA ports for devices, PCI Express slots for your video card and Renesas NEC USB 3.0 Host Controller. It can overclock but for longevity I would not recommend it, at least not right away. You may consider other options but I dont recommend going with "cheap" options, this is what holds your whole computer together!
  12.
  13. RAM (Memory) - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f312800cl9d8gbxl : This is gaming RAM. Low latency increases speed and compatible with your motherboard, this is a set of 2 4GB sticks. I only added one set to your build but adding a second set for a total of 16GBs of RAM will be helpful when your trying to Netplay/Stream/Render Video
  14.
  15. Storage - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz7te120bw / http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seagate-internal-hard-drive-stbd3000100 : I added the Samsung SSD for speed, its not necessary but I recommend it. It'll make loading your OS / Apps / Games much faster. If you ever need to record uncompressed you can't on a hard drive unless you RAID them which can be complicated to setup. The hard drive is there for long term storage (Music/Videos/Stream Recordings/Games you don't play often).
  16.
  17. GPU - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-r9270xdc2t4gd5 : The ATI GPUs are strong, I personally prefer nVidia GPUs but they generally cost more for "equal" power. You need a strong GPU for the Graphical effects of dolphin (720p) and I believe your GPU can now be used partially for rendering but don't quote me on that. If you are interested in playing any other games besides emulators your GPU is VERY important.
  18.
  19. Case - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-case-cc9011019ww : Well Priced Case from a reputable company with plenty of room for your equipment and cooling.
  20.
  21. Power Supply - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cs650m : Corsair makes very reputable PSUs, you dont want your PSU to go out, in a surge it could end up costing you your whole computer, this is another part you CANNOT "cheap" out on. 650watts is more than enough to supply your build, you could even go down to 550watts to save a bit on your energy build.
  22.
  23. DVD Drive - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/lite-on-optical-drive-ihas12414 : Used to install your OS, can burn CDs/DVDs, its cheap.
  24.
  25. OS - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/microsoft-os-gfc02050 : Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 8 definitely has input lag issues, and performance / driver support overall is better on Windows 7 than Windows 8. Disable Windows Aero (Enable Windows Basic) to decrease input lag.
  26.
  27. Monitor - http://pcpartpicker.com/part/benq-monitor-rl2455hm : You may already have monitors but this is important. Your going to need an HD monitor for Smash4, this monitor only has 2ms more lag than a CRT (I'm not talking about the response time listed, read Fizzi's research). Not only for the Wii U and other HD Consoles but for your Wii. Monitors like this will be the standard in the future, and having a lagless monitor will greatly increase your satisfaction with PC Games and Netplay! Heres fizzis research, I highly recommend reading it - http://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/26got5/quick_followup_to_miom_lag_article/
  28.
  29. USB 3.0 Host Controller - http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Express-SuperSpeed-Adapter-PEXUSB3S2/dp/B002XVVIQE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1406659111&sr=8-6&keywords=startech+usb+3.0 : This controller has the Renesas NEC Chip necessary for your intensity shuttle, its only $30 and now you don't need to worry about your motherboards USB 3.0 Chipset not being supported.
  30.
  31. I highly recommend you gather other peoples thoughts before you commit to this build and i'm more than happy to answer any questions for you!
