  1. We asked some players for their opinion on a pack 1 pick 1. Here is the pack:
  2. 1 Evolving Wilds
  3. 1 Immerwolf
  4. 1 Briarpack Alpha
  5. 1 Torch Fiend
  6. 1 Hollowhenge Beast
  7. 1 Thraben Heretic
  8. 1 Increasing Confusion
  9. 1 Undying Evil
  10. 1 Burden of Guilt
  11. 1 Death's Caress
  12. 1 Chant of the Skifsang
  13. 1 Faithless Looting
  14. 1 Chalice of Life/Chalice of Death
  15. 1 Fling
  16.
  17. Here were some answers from MLers:
  18.
  19. PV: Briarpack Alpha, I think it's just the best card in the pack by far. It's one color, excellent in any archetype.
  20.
  21. TwoTrees: Briarpack Alpha
  22.
  23. Tird_Ape: Increasing confusion is the best card. So id take that. Also there is no worthwhile blue, if you pick briarpack you are still passing immerwolf possibly putting the person next to you into rg
  24.
  25. Derflippi: Burden of Guilt. White is the best color and this pack is the perfect opportunity to force W.
  26.
  27. Duodax: Increasing Confusion, it kills alone and you can build around it.
  28.
  29. cloysterd: Increasing Confusion is a win condition by itself, plus the next few picks aren't likely to be blue
  30.
  31. pseudodespot: The pick is Increasing Confusion. The card wins games on its own and since the Dark Ascension inclusion Spider Spawning is not the best deck any more. So mill cards like Dream Twist are way more likely to come to you. And even if they do not, in match ups that go a little longer you can board Confusion in where it functions like Devil's Play.
  32.
  33. Brasi: i will pick increasing confusion because blue is probably the best color and this card is awesome to finish games i have even seen people that play it first time with x=0 to play it the same turn and kill the opponent that card is just amazing in a blue x control deck
  34.
  35. Canabiest: I think it is between Immerwolf, Briarpack Alpha and Increasing confusion from a power level and getting you into an archetype. If it is a real life draft and I see the guy I am passing to take the blue double faced flier or pass a good werewolf I might reconsider and go into Immerwolf. Same with sweet werewolves coming towards me. But I would probably still go with Increasing Confusion, but seeing the future picks that way gives you something to think about when considering a werewolf deck.
  36.
  37. MrMojito: i'd say Immerwolf
  38.
  39. Annul: briarpack alpha, no question. best card in the pack, and it leaves no green left for p1p2 and a good signal in red as well. also if were lucky, neighbor will derp into trying for mill.dec, which is always going to be good for us.
  40.
  41. Halldir: hmm i would pick Increasing Confusion... with it you can go selfmill or even mill oponent in lategame... we have 2 white cards that are good so if i pick one i can be doomed in pack two when player by my side would pick the second one... same problem with Briarpack Alpha/Immerwolf... rest is not so good on first pick
  42.
  43. elfwizard: Fling: cuz is a winning-game card and one of the best removals.
  44.
  45. So there we have it: 7 say Increasing Confusion, 3 think Briarpack Alpha, 1 picks Burden of Guilt, 1 takes Immerwolf and 1 wants Fling.
  46. What would you pick and why? Answer in the forum thread below!
