  3. Here's an (lil bit) outdated theory tas with the notes i made. Sorry I lost the source files to them :<

  10. stuff to watch out for or check when doing tas:
  11.  
  12. -you can have an input prepared (and active a frame or two?) before the level starts
  13. holding R or L for spawns/despawns/lag etc in allll areas (actually a bit of work i guess but it helps a lot in certain areas, esp hoth outside. i never tested all areas, only the especially laggy ones)
  14. -death animations and item drops laggy etc.
  15. -check jump routes and jump positions in hoth caves
  16. -idk if switching from saber to blaster at level start actually saves time, it just seems to
  17. -for the snowspeeder level, make sure enemies don't spawn into the hills in the distance (they blow up and have to spawn again)
  18. -getting good AT-ST luck is biggest part, making sure hills don't get in the way and you can kill all 5 close and fast (i'm excited to see what you guys get)
  19. -first AT-AT can also spawn close sometimes
  20. -for the lil in-game cutscenes where luke jumps on the speeder, sometimes you can roll and stop just right so the animation jumps in immediately
  21. -after snowspeeder: hf with lag reduction on these guys and next few levels
  22. -i've never tested much but you miiight be able to get an elevator despawn (or at least slip through one) for han's hoth levels. also the 'godtas' misses a couple of seeker turret kills but make sure to kill them offscreen since they lag so much
  23. -godtas also has old boss AT-ST boss kill, see striker's run

  25. -idk how to save time on the falcon autoscroller level

  27. -dagobah1 can get a quick force drop for elevation probably. would be neat if you found any time savers for force powers besides invis/elevate/health (hey maybe a new glitch? :>)
  28. -dagobah2 lag, damage boosts etc
  29. -dagobah3 in theory it seems like if you stay d-boosting at the top of the screen, then do a freefall drop into dagobahss's despawn point, it could save a second or two of lag from avoiding the middle of screen (don't forget to be trying l/r in all areas, might help anywhere where enemies spawn down in water too)

  31. -if you guys find elevator skip or despawn in cloud city that'd be suuuper cool

  33. -for chewie reactor, shields n slide > detonator on the boss (spawn him low from the lava so detonator hits all areas). gl with lag on the lasers and the dumb purple flying things. at least they can d-boost you in a couple spots. (also mess with L/R for getting the jetpack troopers off the screen, you can shake them off your trail) (maybe kill lasers at boss if it helps lag etc etc).
  34. -for han reactor, check out the slight differences in jumping between godtas and striker's run. (also jump up the sides) i never did testing after 0.3 godtas so he prolly jumps better in a couple spots. also I regret not testing L/R more often on these factory levels a lil :> (also killing the boss from the top of the screen might be less laggy)

  36. -xwing: point up for lag reduction?, minimal shots bla bla
  37. -last level: a tas will probably fight the vaders differently than RTA since getting in his face is actually safe strat. ignore RTA strat and keep him lit up in a lightsaber battle? and see if there's a way plasma could work at all. also not sure about ending debris lag

  39. gl everyone! lag reduction and spawn manipulation will be biggest parts by far i think :>
