Jezebel Hawke - Jezebel is classified as an SSS rank Ghoul by the CCG and is codenamed the Motherly Ghoul, considered one of the most dangerous Ghouls in January City, though she rarely shows up on the radar due to her almost impossible to track movements and feeding sites. Despite her friendly, maternal nature and actions towards her victims, she still ruthlessly devours them, leaving little to no trace of the attack before moving on. She is known to be able to go months without feeding. She harbors no resentment towards humans or the CCG, and has a longtime affection for the CCG Investigator, Jack Embers, who has protected her from the CCG for many years - She frequently drives off Ghouls with a grudge against the wellknown Investigator. Her Kagune is a powerful Bikaku, which she skillfully wields against any other Ghouls which would encroach upon her territory.

Jack Embers - Jack is a recently promoted Rank One Ghoul Investigator at January Citys main CCG office. He is known for his relentless, animalistic tactics against Ghouls, and was promoted through the ranks quickly due to his almost flawless capture/kill record. While not in the field, he acts as the January City branch offices unofficial psychologist and profiler, and assists with civilian testimonies and Ghoul profiling. Despite his ruthless tactics against Ghouls and unstaunched belief in humanity, he harbors feelings for the Motherly Ghoul, who he knows for a fact is a girl he used to be friends with in childhood - he has officially taken over the Motherly Ghoul investigation, and is intentionally steering it in the opposite direction of the object of his affections. His Quinque is a Bikaku/Koukaku hybrid-type, which takes the form of a Koukaku shoulder/arm guard and a long, flexible Bikaku katana.

Benson Astley - Benson is a Rank Two Ghoul Investigator, partnered with Sophia Trenton, and under the supervision of Rank One Ghoul Investigator Miranda Locke. He and Sophia have been in the same squad since they both entered the CCG training program together. He is being groomed alongside Sophia to become a Rank One Investigator, specifically trained to track and defeat S and SS Class Ghouls. His Quinque is a glass cannon Ukaku /gunblade,/ which is capable of acting like a sword, while also shooting out hardened RC bullets from its hilt like a gun. Miranda has been his personal trainer recently, as he has trouble acting smoothly in the middle of combat.

Sophia Trenton - Sophia is a Rank Two Ghoul Investigator, partnered with Benson Astley, and under the supervision of Rank One Ghoul Investigator Miranda Locke. Sophia is considered a natural at tracking Ghouls and handling a Quinque against them, though she works best alongside her longtime Investigation Partner, Benson, so Miranda intentionally holds her promotions back, so she can remain in the same squad as Benson. She frequents the bakery across the street from the CCG JC branch office, and has a crush on the girl she is unaware is the notorious Baker Ghoul. Her Quinque is a slow, but extremely defensively-oriented, Koukaku-type, which switches between a large body-protecting shield to a powerful drill-esque piercing mode.

Dennis - Dennis is a One Eyed Ghoul created by the experiments of Doctor December, who transplanted the organs of deceased SSS class Ghoul known only as 'Death'(Deaths Host in the AU). Dennis was a coma patient in an 010 Company hospital with no traceable family members to take care of him - December used his position at the 010 Company, which funds the CCG, and his influence with the CCG, to essentially erase Dennis' existence and release him into the custody of December. December then performed a very experimental surgery on Dennis, and replaced his internal organs with those of SSS class Ghoul 'Deaths.' Despite the operation being a completely unprecedented success, and December having the opportunity of a lifetime to run tests on Dennis, he dropped the now One Eyed Ghoul into a random alley, and left him there. Dennis awoke with only the memory of his first name and a ravenous hunger that nothing seemed to be able to sate - until he watched a report on Ghouls, and realized what he really was. Dennis' Kagune is an extremely powerful Rinkaku type, exactly like 'Deaths' was when he was still alive. His kakugan is in his left eye.

Kendryc Jameson - Kendryc is a Rank One Ghoul Investigator, whos wife died in a Ghoul attack soon after giving birth to their daughter, born a Ghoul herself. Kendrycs blunt, cold demeanour towards other humans and pure hatred for Ghouls would not belie his powerful drive to protect his daughter, and the lengths he would go to do so - even making deals with other Ghouls. He has a deal with a more experienced Ghoul, who takes care of his daughter when he can't, in exchange for Kendryc keeping the CCG off their backs and providing them with meals when he can. His Quinque is a Rinkaku type, shaped into a large scythe.

Wraith - Wraith has no classification as a Ghoul, there are only rumours of her existence, most of them not even related to her being a Ghoul. She is the daughter of Rank One Ghoul Investigator Kendryc Jameson, who protects her from the CCGs gaze, and has grown up knowing only her father and her caretaker, an older, more experienced male Ghoul, who has kept her safe since she was a baby and he was a young boy. She has only killed for food twice, otherwise she has only been fed already dead meat, gathered by her caretaker or her father. She has trouble expressing many emotions, though she is able to express mild happiness or sadness when she is either elated or very miserable - otherwise, she is very apathetic-seeming. Her Kagune is a Rinkaku type.

Henson Cove - Henson also has no classification as a Ghoul, and very few rumours surround him, just like Wraith - this is due to Kendryc Jameson meddling with the CCGs gaze when it comes to them. Henson is the only surviving Ghoul who has ever known the 'Death' Ghoul, who was well known for his Ghoul-eating habits. Henson was raised by 'Death,' just as he is essentially raising Wraith, and 'Death' taught him everything he needed to know about being a Ghoul and how to survive. He very infrequently has to kill to feed, as Kendryc provides most of the food for him and Wraith. Hensons Kagune is a Koukaku type which takes the shape of a large hammer.

'Death' - 'Death' has no known name, only ever referred to by the CCGs codename for him. 'Death' was well known for having the highest kill count of Rank One and Special Rank Ghoul Investigators, and for his tendency to cannibalize other Ghouls, which made all other Ghouls avoid him like the plague. He was killed when a dozen Rank One and Special Rank Investigators teamed up to fight him, though he still took half of them with him to the grave. His Kagune was an extremely powerful Rinkaku type, more powerful than Dennis' at the moment.

Travis Blaines - Travis is a famously controversial childrens author, who wrote a now banned series of childrens books based around humanizing Ghouls, making them out to be just like everybody else, just with a unique problem. This was due to learning from his lifelong friend, Molly, that she was a Ghoul, and hearing about the everyday problems and regrets she has, spurring him to try and campaign for her social rights in his own way. Despite the many smear campaigns and protests against him because of his decision to be on the "wrong side of the argument," Travis stands with his choices, assured in the fact that he is helping his dear friend. And, unbeknowest to him, he also has the gratitude of many other Ghouls.

Miranda Locke - Miranda Locke is a Rank One Ghoul Investigator who specializes in solo takedowns of extremely dangerous S, SS, and SSS Classified Ghouls, and has an almost flawless capture/kill record. She heads the Investigation Squad which Benson and Sophia belong to, but has been keeping an eye on them since even before they graduated from the CCG training school. Miranda is actually the one who 'recruited' Benson, and has been intimately involved with his training process since the day they met. She still even privately trains him in combat use of his Quinque. She is known as the Ice Queen of the CCG, due to her blunt, cold nature, and she frequently butts heads with fellow Rank One Investigators Jack Embers and Kendryc Jameson. Her Quinque is a Rinkaku type Katana weapon.

Jasper Twist - Jasper is a Special Rank Ghoul Investigator with a flawless kill record. He was taken to the CCGs official home for Ghoul attack induced orphans, records state that this happened after his sole parent, his father, was killed by a Ghoul. He was trained to be a CCG operative from a young age, and excelled at it, before being officially sent to the official CCG training school for CCG operatives. Jasper graduated at the top of his class. The top of every class since the school had been established - though that was not relatively long ago. Jasper then was promoted through the ranks of the Investigators at an unprecedented rate, until he was the youngest Special Rank Ghoul Investigator ever. He is most well known for being the driving force against the 'Death' Ghoul, and being the final blow that killed him. His blunt, unempathetic nature throws many off at first, but he does eventually grow on those who he has to work with...However, people who have spent extended periods of time around him say that there is a darkness about him, just beneath the surface. He is rarely called out to do any direct field work, only being called for SSS rank Ghouls these days. Otherwise, he is directly responsible for the investigation into the sudden disappearance of Doctor Phineas December. Jasper uses a Koukaku type Quinque which takes, essentially, the form of a giant baseball bat.

During his investigation of December, Jasper is captured by Decembers lackies, One Eyed Ghouls. December, having fallen deeper and deeper into madness, had conceived a new plan for creating the ultimate Ghoul - the vastness of his insanity providing him with no reason for this plan, no end goal, just that it had to happen. He explains that if One Eyed Ghouls are more powerful than normal Ghouls, even SSS class ones, by that logic, a One Eyed Ghoul created with a One Eyed Ghouls organs would even more powerful. Jasper is actually a One Eyed Ghoul, his past presented in the records is fabricated - before Dennis was created by December, the first successful One Eyed Ghoul creation was of Jasper as a very young child, and he was used in an experiment of using manmade Ghouls against other Ghouls. December transplants Jaspers organs into the body of Decembers ex-assistant, who looks remarkably like Jasper. Jasper Twist dies in the process. The new One Eyed Ghoul awakens later in an alleyway, with only a ravenous hunger that nothing seems to sate, and the memory of his name. Jasper Twist.

Jasper Twist? - After the actual Jasper Twist goes missing, the One Eyed Ghoul is dropped in an alleyway with no memories except for a name that seems to be everywhere. He immediately takes to hunting, some innate knowledge of what a Ghoul should do driving him. Though originally his Kagune is weak, and his single Kakugan immediately sets him apart from other Ghouls, and his similar appearance to the original Jasper Twist draws their ire...He grows quickly, and his hunger is unsatiable - though nobody from the CCG ever sees him committing the deed, his unique method of killing draws their attention, and he is quickly classified as an S rank Ghoul. His endless hunger forces him to try and find other food, and he begins to hunt down other Ghouls, which seem to satisfy and fulfill him more, for longer periods, though he goes on binge killing sprees whenever he does get hungry - of both humans and Ghouls - earning him the codename Serial Killer Ghoul. His classification is bumped up two spots to SSS class at the same time. Jasper Twist?s Kagune is a Rinkaku/Ukaku hybrid, wings sprouting from his back but also tentacles with an edge like a knife. He is considered to be extremely dangerous, and all sightings of him are to be reported directly to a Rank One or Special Rank Investigator. Under no circumstances should he be fought against alone.
