>You're cooking up a storm in the Home Ec room after class.
>Mary and Roman are there with you, talking about this and that.
>It's nice having people to taste-test for you.
>The door on the far end of the room opens.
>Roman darts behind Mary and admittedly, you yourself even jump a little.
>Nolan North strolls in.
>"Oh, hey, there are others here! Are you guys practicing cooking? Mind if I join?"
>Roman can't say anything, Mary doesn't seem to object, and you can't bring yourself to speak a word either.
>You can see a smirk on Mary's face though, as if she's silently saying "This will be interesting."
>You try to ignore Nolan as best you can and return to your own dishes.
>You feel a hand clap on your shoulder.
>Your body locks up completely.
>"Smells good, man. What is it? Fettucini Alfredo huh? Hey, I read online that some lemon zest really brings out the flavor of the sauce."
>He grabs a grater and a lemon and begins grinding away.
>You can only watch in horror as he continues altering the contents of your pot.
>You're sweating more from his proximity than from the heat of the dish, which he apparently cranked up a few degrees.
>Minutes later, he's done, and he turns to ask Roman and Mary to taste it.
>Mary is long gone.
>Roman is cowering under the table.
>Nolan stares on for a second before turning to you.
>"Huh, guess they don't want any. More for us then!"
>Nolan's bright, innocent smile is the last thing you see before your anxiety peaks and you pass out, dropping to the floor like a sweat-soaked rock.
