Excisor wakes up in hospital

[15:30] <Zeus|Excisor> "Whaa..." she moaned groggily "W-where am I?" she slowly tried to sit up and look around. What was with the light?||
[15:36] <~Pink> That just makes things spin around worse. And where the heck is Ozzie? That little furball never misses the chance to take a nap with her. And her leg feels strange, like the sheet rises, disturbed, and then settles right back down right through her.

01[15:39] <Zeus|Excisor> Carefully, not wanting to agitate her dizziness, she looks around for her cat. "Ozzie? Come here beautiful boy. Where are you? Stop hiding." She belatedly looks at her leg. "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO MY LEG!!!!" She yells.||
[15:45] <~Pink> Oh, and there's a mask on her face. Insubstantial, cheap even. Just enough there to be annoying. There is an IV in her arm as well, and something starts beeping. Her leg... well, it is hard at first with the thin sheet in the way to make out but something is NOT right. But she can FEEL it, and in fact as she grows agitated she can feel it more strongly...||
01[15:49] <Zeus|Excisor> Ignoring the mask for now she looks at the IV. Was she in a hospital? Weird. What happened to her? She lifts the sheet to look at her leg. "... The Fuck?" Her right leg was... gone. But she could feel it, though the size of her foot seemed wrong by the way it pressed against the material. Maybe she could call someone to get some answers, she looked around for a button or something to summon a nurse.||
[15:58] <~Pink> There is a call button, of course. Her leg looks... odd- as she looks, she can almost make out... something. The position feels strange indeed, and grows stranger as she sits up further to reach for the button, strange ripping noises as her heels tear through the fabric and foam of the mattress.||
01[16:02] <Zeus|Excisor> She freezes her movements. How did she tear the bedding? It didn't feel like an old mattress. Carfeully, she lifts her leg...s from the mattress, sitting up properly and calling the nurse. She adjusts the sheets to cover the tears in the mattress. What was going on? why was she in a hospital, apart from the dizziness she felt fine, though she wished she could remember what happened to her leg.||
[16:08] <~Pink> It isn't a nurse who enters, not at first at least. Elliana has seen PRT officers before, of course, but the way this one checks the room before the nurse enters is an altogether different experience. "Good morning," the nurse says. She is a middle aged woman with a solemn demeanor. "How are you feeling?"||
01[16:11] <Zeus|Excisor> "Hi" she says, her confusion mounting. Why was a PRT agent here? "I'm a little dizzy and I can't remember what happened." She remembers Ozzie, "Please, tell me, what happened to my cat? He gets worried when I'm gone for too long." Probably best to just tell the truth for now.||
[16:25] <~Pink> The woman glances at the officer questioningly. He shrugs. "I don't know about... that, miss," the woman says. "Now that you're awake, though... I'm just going to check your temperature, all right. You were in an accident, and you were running a bit of a ever yesterday. You were very dehydrated, too."

01[16:27] <Zeus|Excisor> Ellie nods, glancing curiously at the PRT guy. "Okay, what do you need me to do?"||

[16:32] <~Pink> The nurse looks her over, decides not to make any jokes. "Here, just sit back and relax," she says, as she pulls out a digital thermometer, brushing Ellie's hair from her forehead and applying it. "Now, don't worry, nobody here knows who you are until you say otherwise. The PRT is handling everything."||
01[16:35] <Zeus|Excisor> 'Odd' she thought 'Why would the PRT be handling it?' She was really worried about Ozzie though. She glanced towards the PRT officer, "Since the PRT is apparantly handling things, do you know where my cat is?" Best to act with some authority until she could figure things out.||
[16:38] <~Pink> He shakes his head. "I'm sorry. I can try to find out." A pause. "When you say cat you DO mean... housecat?" The nurse glances up, surprised... then blinks as she apparently understands. How nice for her.||
01[16:41] <Zeus|Excisor> What? Why was he asking that? She stared at him "Yes. A male tabby, Light grey hair with black stripes." She gestures to indicate Ozzie's size "About this big." She pauses, "He may have tried to bite someone if they picked him up, he gets aggressive when he's scared." What was going on here?||
[16:43] <~Pink> ...The man is taking NOTES.||
01[16:45] <Zeus|Excisor> What the hell, why was he... "What are you writing down there? I'm not sure I'm comfortable with someone writing stuff down about me without my consent." She knew a hint of her fear was slipping through. What in the world had happened to her?||
[16:52] <~Pink> The man turns the notepad around. "Male tabby housecat, light grey..." And so on. "Please relax, Ma'am. Is there anyone else you'd like to contact?"

[16:54] <~Pink> "Do you remember your accident?" the nurse adds, then, "Er, sorry. I'm not used to the whole... secrecy thing, sorry!" Why is she so damn nervous?||
01[16:58] <Zeus|Excisor> Accident? Oh god. Her car. Did she have an accident on her way to her parent's house? "I was heading to my parents' house for the easter holidays. I really should call them. Accident? I don't remember... what happened?" Was it a parahuman? Was that why the PRT guy was here? Had she been attacked? "I should probably call my housemate too." Hold it together Ellie, don't break down, stay cool, figure things out. Cry later.||
[17:01] <~Pink> The man speaks up. "Your phone was destroyed in the crash, but we can get you in contact with anyone you need, shortly."||

01[17:05] <Zeus|Excisor> She nods, "Thank you." She looked at the nurse and tried - and failed - to suppress a short giggle as she thought of asking the woman what was wrong. As the giggling subsided, she turned back to the PRT guy, maybe now he'd tell her something "Now please, can you tell me what happened? Starting with how I'm alive with my leg missing please."||

[17:19] <~Pink> The nurse has been glancing towards the sheet where her leg should be. And then a doctor comes in, briefly conferring with the officer before approaching. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. We don't get many capes here at St. Joseph's," he apologizes.||
01[17:20] <Zeus|Excisor> Whaaaaaaaaaaat? All thought of composure leaves her. Her answer to his apology is a thoroughly confused face and a very non-erudite "huh?"||
