  1. Under the right conditions, Mega Steelix can be a very threatening Pokemon. With far below average Speed, a decent Attack and an interesting ability Steelix will find it's self primarily used on Sand-based Trick Room teams. The set is very self explanatory, 252 EVs are put into HP so Steelix can be as bulky as possible, while the other 252 is put into Attack. Brave nature is used on the set to boost the power of Steelixs' Gyro Ball while Earthquake and Rock Slide will be used to take advantage of the Sand Force boost. Protect will be used to grant Steelix some safety from opponent when Trick Room is being set up, or it finds its self in a unfavorable position.

  6. With its new Mega Form, Swampert is finally a Pokemon that could be one of the more dominating factors in the ORAS metagame. 150 base Attack in tandem with 100/110/110 defenses makes Swampert a very threatening tank, being able to hit nearly every common Pokemon for Super Effective Damage with the correct set also helps. Waterfall is always going to be Swampert's main STAB with Earthquake and an Ice move providing it with near perfect coverage. Superpower can also be used to OHKO Ferrothorn after a helping hand boost.
