<Shiitake> Hey.  I was thinking about how pristine souls 'connect' things.  I'm guessing we can create Pristine Souls of our own because we're connecting facts.\

<Shiitake> Right.  So I also thought... why are pristine souls not similar to proto souls?

<TheBeardiestBob> Now I know why Cromartie did such a great job putting Freddie in a show.... he writes himself.    And Pristine Souls are the OPPOSITE of Proto-Souls.
<Shiitake> I wonder if he would see Pristine Souls the same way?

<TheBeardiestBob> They are souls with TOO much individuality, ego, sense of self.... like, think of a soul as a lightbulb, and a PS would be alightbulb with meters of filament all bound up insibe the bulb.

<TheBeardiestBob> not really.  The actual mechanics of souls are going to take so long to get to in quest that I'd rather save myself the time of saying a billion different versions of 'no it dosn't work that way but I can't tell you why'

<Shiitake> "Pristine" sounds more stripped down than overflowing.
<TheBeardiestBob> so, just like how Souls are the antithesis of entropy, enrgy, and thus matter, from nothing, Pristine Souls are the foil of proto-souls, one so much Ego as to be impossible to exist, the other having not even an Id.
<TheBeardiestBob> Think of Pristine Souls as having too much stuff paced in.
<TheBeardiestBob> Like, it does not fit the rules of space management, that so much personality exists within the soul

<Shiitake> Anyway I was thinking... if we can use Pristines to connect shit and take over weak bodies...  then perhaps that's what the Other was trying to do.
<Shiitake> yet, because Mordre's soul was corrupted by the Curse, it didn't quite work right.  It was incompatable.
<TheBeardiestBob> Well, the future is something that, when it becomes the present, you react to, consicous decisions and all that.  To react to something BEFORE it becomes the present, you need an overflow of self to be able to percieve that far, or so go most lessons on Chronomancy.

<TheBeardiestBob> which also implies that proto-souls are tied to the past, one reason they work GREAT for healing:  Restoring a Past state
