We here in Algeria are suffering from abuse by the Telecom Authority known as ARPT (Autorite postal et telecommunication). The ARPT rarely has any effect in expanding the market (like it should) rather, it is only damaging the Telecom market.
Last month, the ARPT made a decision to require authorization of its users before allowing them to use any kind of encryption (for example; IpSec). They also will require authorization for any type of Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology (for example; PPTP, L2TP, GRE Tunneling, OpenVPN, and most other protocols that allow you protect your information). Even if you are authorized to encrypt your information, they require access to your encryption key in order to allow them to easily decrypt your activity.

Here in Algeria VOIP (Voice-Over IP) is forbidden.

The Algeria Telecom Authority is denying our rights, we will not stand for that.

We need your support, spread the news of the ARPT's act of ignorance.

Nous ici en Algérie souffrent de la violence par l'Autorité Télécom connu sous le nom ARPT (Autorité postale et de télécommunication). L'ARPT a rarement un effet de l'expansion du marché (comme il devrait), plutôt, il est seulement d'endommager le marché des Télécoms.
Le mois dernier, l'ARPT a pris une décision d'exiger une autorisation de ses utilisateurs avant de leur permettre d'utiliser n'importe quel type de cryptage (par exemple, IPSec). Ils devront aussi exiger une autorisation pour tout type de réseau virtuel (VPN) privé (par exemple, PPTP, L2TP, GRE Tunneling, OpenVPN, et la plupart des autres protocoles qui vous permettent de protéger vos informations).
