Proposal for the OWS demands list: Reform Campaign Financing

In order to level the playing field in our democracy, we should outlaw private campaign financing and PACs and switch to a system of public campaign financing.

This will take power from the rich, ensure that no candidate starts out with an unfair monetary advantage, and that candidates are judged on their ideas, rather than on their war chests.

I propose that this should be added to the list of demands.
