  1. T = Travis, D = Dyrus, DL = Doublelift, SV = SaintVicious, S = Scarra, X = Xpecial. () are either extra comments by the speakers in the background or my own comments for clarity. [] are words that may be incorrect/misheard.

  5. (0:00 - Introductions/Band Camp)
  6.
  7. T: Hello everyone and welcome to the All-Star SOTL. The first one I've been able to do in a while and of course I'm joined in the Curse House, live in Las Vegas (well, not really live, because you're watching this prerecorded, but we're *taping* it live so in some way--). ANYWAY, the All-Stars are here. These are your North American heroes, god help us all. They're gonna save us somehow from all of the crazy stuff going on so, hey guys, how's it going. ("pretty good" responses) How long have you been here for?
  8.
  9. DL: 3 days?
  10.
  11. D: 2 days...
  12.
  13. T: 2-3 days?
  14.
  15. SV: Couple months.
  16.
  17. T: Well, I should say thank you to Gamespot for helping me produce this, very cool of them. So I guess I'll go ahead and introduce everyone since it's a tradition even though, by now, all of you guys should know. But first off we have Dyrus, how're you doing Dyrus? How's the Nevada air treating your skin?
  18.
  19. D: If I stay here for two weeks, I'm probably going to die.
  20.
  21. T: Ok, I mean--yeah, that sounds about right. In fact I know because this is just a show about moisturizers. Also as Doublelift, everyone on Reddit has been talking about your moisturizer situation--
  22.
  23. DL: What the hell, I was just asking like a simple question and then (T: You were tweeting about it too--) I think Scarra ended up helping me out. [Gave me some of his] *special* moisturizer.
  24.
  25. S: I use special moisturizer.
  26.
  27. T: Yeah, ok, sounds about right. Next up we've got SaintVicious. Saint, how is it like to have all of these guys camping out at your home?
  28.
  29. SV: I don't really care, I'm used to it.
  30.
  31. T: Like whatever, there's just so many people now. (SV: Yeah.) Scarra, what's it like to be away from Dignitas?
  32.
  33. S: Uh, I mean, it's good and bad? I like these guys, I like Dig, but the house here is actually really nice. It's bigger than our house and they have a really nice set-up.
  34.
  35. T: Do you miss QTPie and his hair?
  36.
  37. S: (thoughtful pause) No. (SV laughs) I miss QTPie, but not his hair. Oh my god, it gets everywhere...
  38.
  39. T: Finally, how're you doing Xpecial? What's it like working with Doublelift? We'll get more into that later, but give me a preview.
  40.
  41. X: It's been alright? I mean, my only complaint is if there's a bind then Doublelift's going to get hit by it. That's basically it. (DL: Fuck you. Scarra starts cracking up) That's basically it.
  42.
  43. D: He facechecks-- (DL talks over him saying something about skillshots).
  44.
  45. X: I think we've won more fights with Doublelift initiating than when he's not...initiating.
  46.
  47. DL: I always intiate, and we always win dude! That means it's good.
  48.
  49. SV: --and instantly dying. (X: Yeah.)
  50.
  51. DL: Yeah, exactly, well I mean, at least I baited out their summoners...or something.
  52.
  53. T: Alright, well, we'll get more into that in a second, but I split up everything into practice, then we're going to talk about the allstar tournament, then maybe go into a little bit of meta talk, and there's some questions from folks that I got on Twitter. That should be the whole show. So let's go ahead and start into it, so when do you guys leave for Shanghai. It's Thursday, you guys have been here for a couple of days. What day do you guys leave?
  54.
  55. (long bit of silence)
  56.
  57. X: Sunday, the 19th.
  58.
  59. T: Sunday, thank god someone knows. So what's been the daily schedule for you guys since you've gotten here.
  60.
  61. SV: Ok, fap, and then go work out, and then fap again. (T: Alright.) And then we eat breakfast, we'll talk about the game, and then we'll go scrim.
  62.
  63. T: Ok, so how many hours of scrimming?
  64.
  65. SV: Probably like 6 a day. Like, we could scrim more, but it's hard to find legitimately good scrim partners because all of the teams are off on break and then--
  66.
  67. DL: The top 4 teams all can't play because they have us in it.
  68.
  69. SV: Well we've been scrimming CRS and they've been using Dominate (IWillDominate) instead of me, so I guess that's going to be the closest thing you're going to get for that. And then some GGU games.
  70.
  71. T: So I've heard that CLG.Black is reforming to fight you guys--is that happening yet or is that later today?
  72.
  73. S: Yeah, we're playing them later today.
  74.
  75. T: So are you looking forward to that? Anyone? Doublelift, CLG.Black your--
  76.
  77. DL: No, they're a bunch of shitters.
  78.
  79. T: Ok, ok, sounds like--I know you guys are working out in the morning. I don't know if all of you guys work out normally, but is that an interesting experience for any of you guys? You guys liking it, is it workin' out? ...no pun intended. (no responses) Anyone? No thoughts on the working out. Alex, Xpecial.
  80.
  81. DL: That was the worst joke ever.
  82.
  83. X: It's...really not that hard. It's just 20mins, 30 mins.
  84.
  85. T: Saint are you like the drill sergeant for these guys in the gym?
  86.
  87. SV: I guess so, if that's what you're going to call it. I'm not like yelling at them, "LIFT THAT WEIGHT HARDER! GO OVER THERE! LIFT HARDER EVEN MORE!"
  88.
  89. DL: Saint and Liquid are really strong. They're like...really strong.
  90.
  91. T: Yeah, I saw you tweet about that, Doublelift.
  92.
  93. DL: Look at these bad boys right there (pointing at Saint's arms).
  94.
  95. T: I saw you tweet about feeling tiny next to Liquid and Saint.
  96.
  97. DL: I mean, I worked out with Chauster for the last few months and--yeah, like, man. Chauster sucks. (everyone laughing) I mean--he used to be strong! He's still pretty strong! But like, Saint and Liquid are really strong.
  98.
  99. T: Dyrus, what's your workout looking like?
  100.
  101. D: Uh, I go on the treadmill for 30 mins. and then we leave.
  102.
  103. T: Ok, sounds about right. So what's the research like here? You guys are obviously doing scrims, but I've heard rumors of workshops and research, so, what does that look like? Do you guys just look at games and that kind of thing?
  104.
  105. X: It really feels like we're back in school. We all sit down, literally on these chairs, and we have whiteboards and then--Mr. Liquid, he will go through the lesson plan. Then when we're done, we'll have some recess and yeah--if we're nice, we'll get fed, if not--(shakes head).
  106.
  107. T: Nice. Little stars on a chart or whatever if you do well?
  108.
  109. X: Yes, we have our names on the board and if we say something correct, he'll put the star next to our name and (DL: Damn dude...) then we get some candy if we have the most points.
  110.
  111. T: So is this basically like a summer camp? I mean, that's what it sounds like. Everyone came out here for a week of fun in Las Vegas.
  112.
  113. D: Yeah, it's like band camp.
  114.
  115. T: Band camp? Ok. Did you go to band camp much when you were young?
  116.
  117. DL: No, no.
  118.
  119. X: I went to music camp!
  120.
  121. (everyone looks at him, SV/DL call him a nerd)
  122.
  123. DL: Wait, what did you play?
  124.
  125. X: I played the viola.
  126.
  127. (all clustered together)
  128. S: Really? Oh god...
  129. DL: What the--you're like so Asian dude.
  130. S: That's so Asian!
  131.
  132. DL: All Chinese people know how to play piano, viola, and violin. Like one of each.
  133.
  134. S: I played piano--and drums actually, I was...white.
  135.
  136. DL: Drums? (shakes head disapprovingly)
  137.
  138. X: Nice.
  139.
  140. SV: I play air guitar. (S/DL/X look at him silently)
  141.
  142. D: I can use the recorder.
  143.
  144. T: So hey, sounds like you guys could start a band and Doublelift could be the singer.
  145.
  146. DL: That's what we're doing in All-Stars, we're not even going to play the game. (Everyone starts laughing) We're just going to--
  147.
  148. SV: Mariachi band!
  149.
  150.
  151. (6:37 - DOUBLELIFT: MAN OF STEEL)
  152.
  153.
  154. T: While we're off-topic, Doublelift. What's it like being the Man of Steel?
  155.
  156. DL: THAT'S SO STUPID. That video was like--I was cringing so hard the whole time.
  157.
  158. T: Everyone loves it!
  159.
  160. DL: I thought it was SO STUPID. It was SO BAD.
  161.
  162. D: Your fans are going to be SO disappointed when they hear that.
  163.
  164. DL: I don't wanna be represented like--
  165.
  166. S: As Superman? (DL: No--) The Man [of Steel]? (everyone talking over each other)
  167.
  168. DL: That was strange editing--
  169.
  170. D: Yo, it was frontpage, don't [diss]--
  171.
  172. DL: He was like the biggest CLG fanboy and it's cool. But....take down the video, please.
  173.
  174. T: Wow, poor guy's like--
  175.
  176. DL: I'm just kidding, just kidding, just kidding.
  177.
  178. T: There we go.
  179.
  180. D: I'm sorry for him (he's saying sorry in Doublelift's place). Yeah, I know your heart and your dreams have been crushed by this...this dumpster man. Yeah.
  181.
  182. DL: (small voice) I'm sorry...
  183.
  184.
  185. (7:25 - ALL-STAR Preparations/Scrim Results)
  186.
  187.
  188. T: What a rude person. So you guys have a very limited time frame to get all of this practice in for this giant tournament. So how are you guys approaching that. How are you guys maximizing what limited time you have.
  189.
  190. X: It's hard. We actually have like 7 people on the team, we have Liquid as a coach and us 5 and Feng is over here, he's like an Analyst and he's the one who looks over the replays the most. He'll bring up the important parts and then he'll show it to us, we'll talk about it, and that way we don't have to spend time to watch replays. Normally, like on TSM, Regi or I will be the one to watch replays and we would just run feedback through the team. It's just how it works. But here we have another person to do that. It's really, really helpful.
  191.
  192. T: So you guys literally have a dedicated analyst then.
  193.
  194. X: Yeah, it's something that a lot of Asian teams have. I'm guessing Curse normally do so, but a lot of NA teams don't do that yet and it's something that we might see more in the future and I think it's definitely helpful.
  195.
  196. T: Is that something you guys might take back to Regi and say, "Hey, maybe we should consider this?"
  197.
  198. D: It's like cheating. (DL: IT IS.) I feel like I'm cheating.
  199.
  200. T: How come?
  201.
  202. D: No wonder why they're so good.
  203.
  204. T: Because you have to do all of the work or whatever?
  205.
  206. DL: Half of your team discussions are about scouting your opponents or what you're going to do, like what you're going to play. It basically takes out half of your work for team discussions.
  207.
  208. D: No wonder why they're so good. You're just telling them what to do in-game! I don't want a cheatsheet.
  209.
  210. T: Well, maybe. Maybe in the future. So what's it like, playing together. Some of you guys have been on teams together previously, but what's it like leaving your team to come here and play together.
  211.
  212. S: I actually think it's a lot of fun.
  213.
  214. DL: Yeah, it's super fun.
  215.
  216. S: It's a lot more enjoyable than I first thought it would be. Like I thought it'd be cool and fun and all, but it's actually REALLY fun. It's just that--right now we're working on communication 'cause we're...off on a lot of different things right now. (pause) And DoubleLift gets hit with every skillshot. (DL: Fuck you.) Literally every skillshot.
  217.
  218. DL: I play so reckless, like--normally, I play like--everyone protects me and I play super far in the back, like super safe. But now I'm on this AllStar team and I get so hyfee (hype?) and excited I'm just like, "FUCK YEAH!" and I E, flash forward and die. (laughs) I'm like "Oh man..."
  219.
  220. D: That happens a lot, by the way. Then if we make a call, he'll be farming somewhere.
  221.
  222. DL: No, fuck you guys, I--(everyone laughs) I already was there and then you guys went--
  223.
  224. D: Not--not that blue buff game. (S: Oh my god.../DL: [Oh yeah, that blue buff game]) So we gave him blue buff at level 1 and he's farming middle, harassing mid lane, [instead of] helping Saint.
  225.
  226. S: Yeah..../D: Oh my god./DL: Yeah, fuck you guys.
  227.
  228. SV: [???] We usually have really good teamfighting, we always win teamfights, and our early game I feel is really strong, so like--we've done a couple scrims, lost two. One was because we just said, "Screw it" cause it was our first game and we base raced. We're only 15 mins. into the game and we're like, "LET'S BASE RACE." And then another one was just DoubleLift going MAXIMUM LEVEL retardation.
  229.
  230. DL: Yeah, that was pretty bad.
  231.
  232. SV: But other than that we've won like all of our scrims pretty decisively, so. It's been pretty good.
  233.
  234.
  235. (10:43 - BOT LANE TALK)
  236.
  237.
  238. T: So I want to focus in on DoubleLift and Xpecial since you two have to work together the most and have the most synergy. So how's that working out? Obviously you made the jokes about Doublelift getting hit by bindings, but in lane, how does it feel?
  239.
  240. DL: It's pretty good. Xpecial's good, he knows what to do in lane, he has a lot of presence. I mean, bottom lane is all about communication and synergy, so whenever we're going to harass I try to coordinate like, "Next CS" or we just talk about the lane when we're playing. I think it's pretty good, honestly, like my playstyle and Xpecial's playstyle meshes well.
  241.
  242. T: Do you agree Xpecial?
  243.
  244. X: Yeah, I mean we've been doing fine, everytime we play, it's like, "Whelp, he just missed another CS" and then normally nobody says anything, but Doublelift's like "FUCK."
  245.
  246. DL: I DO! It's like--I don't miss CS and then I come to this gaming house and I miss like 30. "Fuck my life."
  247.
  248. T: Sounds like things are going to go great at this, you know-- (DL: I have high hopes.) Doublelift's performance [diminishing?].
  249.
  250. D: My CS has dropped too.
  251.
  252. X: Mine went up! (laughter)
  253.
  254. SV: Wait a second, that's not what we want.
  255.
  256. D: Well that balances it out.
  257.
  258.
  259. (12:00 - Team leadership, SaintVicious + Smiting, Doublelift + Scarra's fail baron)
  260.
  261.
  262. T: So who's leading the team right now. Everyone wants to know. Who's making the calls.
  263.
  264. S: Saint.
  265.
  266. T: Saint? Did that just happen naturally or was there a decision made.
  267.
  268. SV: Like we did the first scrim and I just do what I normally do on Curse. The difference is it feels like everyone knows what to do on their own, so it's more just like guiding and you make the ultimate call to like "Hey, let's go kill Baron". So it's more like that. It's more like a guiding thing.
  269.
  270. T: So, just because I'm going to be a dick here, these guys are missing CS, how's the smiting going with Baron, Saint?
  271.
  272. SV: Yo dude, I'm hitting ALL of my smites.
  273.
  274. S: It's true! Yeah--(sounds almost surprised in retrospect) it's true!
  275.
  276. DL: Actually, actually it's true. Saint got outsmited maybe one time this whole time, it's really funny. (D: Yeah--)
  277.
  278. SV: It's because I've been playing shit that can't get outsmited. If you play Elise you're like TWO THOUSAND DAMAGE--
  279.
  280. D: I mean, if we're talking about smites, there's this one time where Scarra and Doublelift--
  281.
  282. S: Oh shit, we're not talking about this / DL: We're not talking about this.
  283.
  284. S: Ohhhh shit, I blame Doublelift for this--
  285.
  286. DL: What the hell! It's not my fault you're a lemming!
  287.
  288. SV: That was like the one we legitimately lost because we're like, "Oh they're not going to do Baron!" cause we have Gragas and Ezreal here. So we were like, "Ok guys, get ready, when Baron's at like 5k health, like get ready, you guys are going to combo it together--" and Doublelift's like "OH SHIT" and just ults or whatever.
  289.
  290. D: (Doubelift the entire time is trying to justify his actions, but Dyrus talks over him) They all walk out of the pit and it's like (he's talking about Doublelift), "NOW IS MY TIME. Now that they've walked out of the pit, time to ult!" And Scarra's like, "OH SHIT HE ULTED, TIME TO ULT". So they damaged Baron for them when they weren't even doing it.
  291.
  292. X: They literally did 2 to 3k damage on Baron when it was 4k. Like that's literally what happened. (S: Yeahhhh....)
  293.
  294. T: All at long range?
  295.
  296. X: Yeah, yeah.
  297.
  298. D: And then they just smited it.
  299.
  300. S: Saint wasn't even ready and then Doublelift was like, "I'M GOING." and just ultis in and I'm like, "Shit, I've gotta go in too!"
  301.
  302. DL: My team doesn't [use the word "Ready".] My team just says "GO GO GO" and then I'm like, "Ok." So when you said "Ready" I was like--"FUCK!"
  303.
  304. D: "Ready? TIME TO GO"
  305.
  306. S: Yeah, that was bad.
  307.
  308.
  309. (13:56 - differences between allstar team VS your team, "Defend the Doublelift")
  310.
  311.
  312. T: So that was actually a good point. You said your team does different things. What are some of the major differences between playing on your own team versus this team? So maybe we'll go down the line. Dyrus, what would you say is the difference between playing with these guys and the rest of TSM?
  313.
  314. D: Uh...if I win my lane, we win the game. Well actually, no, that hasn't happened...twice. But normally I don't really have to do anything and everyone else just wins the game, I'm just there.
  315.
  316. T: So it's kinda an easy thing for you?
  317.
  318. X: What...it's the same right?
  319.
  320. D: Yeah, it's pretty much the same.
  321.
  322. X: That's just top lane in a nutshell.
  323.
  324. D: Honestly, I don't do anything different, I just feel more powerful because--I don't know, just everything we do, I feel like we're in a better position. We don't get put into a screwed position. We always set ourselves up for good things to happen. We aren't putting ourselves in a position where we always have to facecheck. It maybe only happens once. So, it's pretty good.
  325.
  326. T: Doublelift, how about you? What's the difference between playing here and CLG?
  327.
  328. DL: Communication's way different and like--
  329.
  330. T: Different in a better way or different in a different way?
  331.
  332. DL: It's just different like, my team--I don't know, I just think I speak a lot more on the All-Star team. Like when I play on my time, I don't really say as much because Chauster just won't shut the hell up, which is good, but. Also, my team just plays around me a lot and so like I have to start telling people, "Hey you should wait until I hit this critical item" or whatever. Normally my team just knows, so it's really weird, but it's really good. Actually, I think we're the best team in North America, like--randomly, if we just made a team like this, we'd be the best team in North America.
  333.
  334. T: What do you mean randomly? Everyone voted you guys in.
  335.
  336. DL: No, I mean like, let's just say all of our teams disbanded, if we made this team...
  337.
  338. T: I've got that question later on, so we'll get to that in a second. Saint--(laughs) Saint shakes his head. Now Saint, what about playing with these guys over Curse?
  339.
  340. SV: Uhhh, it feels easier to shotcall for because I think everyone's game knowledge--like not even the game knowledge, but their active game knowledge. Like everybody is very vocal about what they think should be done and it feels like everybody has a really good understanding of the game and they want to talk about it. We talk about the game a lot and, I don't know, it's good.
  341.
  342. T: Scarra?
  343.
  344. S: It's different in a way that like--I think on this team I can just play a support oriented role which is kinda how I can understand how Link plays in CLG now because I've gotten games where I start the game 0-0-8 and 0-0-11, I literally have more assists than the support. I just feel like--it feels so weird, because on my team I act as a secondary carry with QTPie and KiwiKid acts as half a carry depending on what he plays. But in these games I feel like I play the support-oriented carry where I just play control tower and as long as I support the intiation and defend Doublelift I can win every game.
  345.
  346. T: Defend the Doublelift? Are you guys moving back towards that CLG--
  347.
  348. (Everyone saying no/disagreeing immediately.)
  349.
  350. D: I don't defend him--
  351.
  352. ?: Doublelift's dead.
  353.
  354. DL: Yeah, you can't defend my dead body.
  355.
  356. D: I can't defend him when he gets hooked. (S: Yeah!) Or if I'm not playing a tanky hero. Well, I can defend him when I'm Jayce, he can tank and then I'll autoattack who's on him.
  357.
  358. SV: And he'll still be dead.
  359.
  360. S: Yeah, he'll still be--
  361.
  362. D: He'll eventually die, but I'LL be alive. I actually bait Doubelift, I don't really protect him.
  363.
  364. S: I feel like this team has enough threats to where even if Doublelift dies, it's not like CLG where the teamfight's over. We've had teamfights where, yeah, he gets hooked or Ahri charmed-- (D: He's not even in the fight.//DL: [Every time I'm] just like "Fuck, I died again.") he just dies and we win the teamfight because Saint's ridiculously farmed somehow, Dyrus is farmed and I am farmed and we just win--without him which is weird. That normally never happens in my team if the AD carry gets picked.
  365.
  366. T: Xpecial, these guys over TSM, what's the difference?
  367.
  368. X: We have a different dynamic, as in like, our carry positions are a bit different. On TSM, mid lane was really our biggest carry and then it's AD. Here it's AD and even jungler has a big role in carrying and--yeah, it's different. Like Scarra's midlane, he plays much more passive and much more get into late-game farming--more like a support role and it's just a different dynamic. It just means you have to work around it. Every team has their strengths and weaknesses and our's is just that we have threats spread out pretty evenly except Doublelift who [?] higher and gets caught. So it balances it out.
  369.
  370. DL: I hate you guys.
  371.
  372. T: Poor Doublelift.
  373.
  374. DL: Every question.
  375.
  376.
  377. (18:49 - conflict resolution, something new about a teammate, DOUBLELIFT IS SO BIG)
  378.
  379.
  380. T: Alright so any major disagreements you guys have had yet? I know a lot of you guys are known for having big arguments within your own teams or is it just all sorta working out.
  381.
  382. (people shaking their heads)
  383.
  384. X: I don't think we have time to argue. It's like--everybody, you just try to figure out things instead of. Like when you're playing with a team for a year, two years, you're ok with arguing, since that's just how you get things across. But here we don't have time to argue and we--I don't know, I guess we're just all on the same page surprisingly. It's kinda weird, but it's been working out really well and we haven't really had any arguments.
  385.
  386. D: It gets fixed really fast if there is one. I feel like there is some--we have a really similar understanding of the game, but there are those little disrespectancies (I think Dyrus meant 'discrepancies') like "Oh my god, Volibear's the best!" or "Kennen's the best!". Just our different opinions. It's pretty mixed together. It's exceptional (acceptable?).
  387.
  388. T: Scarra, you were going to say?
  389.
  390. S: I don't know, I feel like--I expected people to be a lot more stubborn. Typically when people talk about the top NA teams, they're like, "Man, they have a lot of big ego's to throw around," but everyone here is pretty accepting of mistakes or even criticism so if someone's like, "This is bad" or "This could be better," people are like, "Well--" and maybe they'll try to say something for like a minute, but afterwards if two people go against them, they'll be like, "Ok, well I understand that." And it just immediately gets resolved there. Like some of the times, even on my team, that doesn't happen. Like I know on some other teams, that doesn't happen, resolution doesn't happen in 10 seconds--isn't that right, Doublelift. (everyone laughs) But, I'm just kidding, but yeah. I'm actually really surprised, it doesn't seem like there's any ego at all on this team. Everyone's really accepting of mistakes and criticism and it's really good.
  391.
  392. T: Do any of you feel like you've learned something different about another player while here? I mean anything major, like you suddenly understand what their role is on their team.
  393.
  394. DL: Yeah Scarra's--wait...yeah. Scarra's champion pool is like (S: Zero?) a piece of paper. Yeah. That's pretty much it. I'm just kidding though--Scarra's, actually surprisingly, I used to think Scarra played two champs, that's what CLG does, we literally just ban 3 champs that we thought Scarra played. Everyone can play a lot of stuff, it's just that their team doesn't let them.
  395.
  396. D: Oh yeah, that's definitely a big part. Not all of us have champions--like Doublelift wanted to play Kog'maw and his team wouldn't let him or something.
  397.
  398. DL: (small voice) I want to play Ashe too... (Scarra cracks up)
  399.
  400. D: I wanted to play Malphite, but Regi didn't let me play Malphite after a certain point, but I can play Malphite now. Yay.
  401.
  402. X: Honestly I'm just surprised how focused CLG is on Doublelift like when I play with WildTurtle or even Chaox, they would always tell me summoner cooldowns, spell cooldowns, stuff like that. Doublelift's like, "Hey guys, look at me." and-- (everyone starts laughing)
  403.
  404. DL: NO! NO! THAT'S NOT WHAT I SAY AT ALL. (S: Oh my god.) FUCK YOU GUYS.
  405.
  406. D: "[Look everyone,] I'M SO BIG." "I'm so farmed!"
  407.
  408. X: Yeah, he'll use stuff like, "I'm SO farmed right now." instead of "I have an IE, I have this item," that's the difference, like CLG will be like-- (DL: Just look for yourself!) "Look at Doublelift! He's so farmed!"
  409.
  410. D: He'll be like 4-0, and I'll be 4-0 and Saint will be 4-0 and Scarra will be 4-0 and Xpecial will have like 50 assists and he'll be like, "I'M BIG!"
  411.
  412. DL: IT'S TRUE I'M BIG!
  413.
  414. S: That's like the only comment that comes out--it's not "I have iceborn now," it's "Oh man, look at how MASSIVE I am. Everybody come look at my screen, I'm so big."
  415.
  416. DL: Ok, pause the game, pause the goddamn scrim, (D: Look at my CS!) everyone come over here.
  417.
  418. D: 200 cs up on my opponent, I've got this!
  419.
  420. SV: Everyone else is trash.
  421.
  422. T: It all makes sense now, doesn't it.
  423.
  424. DL: That's not what happens, what the hell. This is an INACCURATE representation of how our scrims go. Normally it doesn't even matter if I have 6 items because I'm dead!
  425.
  426. X: Because you're big!
  427.
  428. SV: You're an expensive corpse.
  429.
  430. T: Alright, so, what's it like to know the entire hopes and dreams of a continent and region, rest on your guys' shoulders?
  431.
  432. SV: As long as it's on the Man of Steel's shoulders...
  433.
  434. DL: FUCK YOU GUYS! I HATE YOU! I hate you guys.
  435.
  436. D: You can just build Giant's Belt and tank, we'll bait you.
  437.
  438. DL: Probably should at this point, honestly.
  439.
  440.
  441. (23:38 - New team rising? Old team vs All-Stars team?)
  442.
  443.
  444. T: We've been kinda building to this point, but there's been a lot of talk. You guys all get along, there's no arguments, there's a bunch of threats here, it's all working out, Doublelift's the only one that seems to be messing up, so--after All-Stars, you guys all going to leave your teams and join this one and take the NA scene by storm? And then the rest of the world afterwards?
  445.
  446. D: Uh...I don't think that'd be fun at all.
  447.
  448. DL: No, it wouldn't.
  449.
  450. D: Because everyone would just....
  451.
  452. DL: We would just win.
  453.
  454. X: I think this team would be really good, but it's tough to leave [an NA team] for another.
  455.
  456. (Everyone agreeing)
  457.
  458. SV: That was actually the mentality after CDE (Chicks Dig Elo, US team formed for WCG consisting of Reginald, Dyrus, SV, Chauster, and Xpecial). "Damn our teams suck." (everyone laughs) "Well....see you guys next year."
  459.
  460. T: Alright, I mean, tell me--I'm curious. Are there any of you guys who think that your personal teams could beat this team right here. If you guys both had a month of practice.
  461.
  462. D: If we made like a duplicate...?
  463.
  464. T: Yeah, if you cloned yourselves, like Xpecial and Dyrus, could TSM--if you had a month, instead of just this week, could TSM beat you guys.
  465.
  466. X: Yeah.
  467.
  468. (everyone else chimes in, sounds like most people are saying "Yes.")
  469.
  470. X: 'cause TSM. So this team wouldn't understand perfectly how TSM works, but right now I understand completely how this team works. So I could--like, I know the weaknesses of this team and I feel like this weakness is much bigger than the weakness of TSM, but this one is much harder to find out. (T: Ok.)
  471.
  472. D: Yeah, because we've had less time--
  473.
  474. X: Yeah, we also have much less time, much less synergy and...yeah. This team's really good, but my old team, we have more practice and I feel we could beat this team.
  475.
  476. T: Okay, what if I gave you guys 6 months?
  477.
  478. (Someone says "What the Fuck".)
  479.
  480. S: Any team could beat another team in 6 months!
  481.
  482. DL: In 6 months the skill gap always goes down.
  483.
  484. D: It'd be pretty even.
  485.
  486. T: So you guys don't think this could be the best team in North America if you guys all left your teams.
  487.
  488. X: I think it's a tie because I'm on both teams, so I mean, you can't exactly beat each other, right?
  489.
  490. D: Well, if I played against myself, it'd be 4 on 4...so...yeah.
  491.
  492. T: Well the idea is more like the synergy you guys might have.
  493.
  494. D: Yeah, I think it's more about the synergy, cause then--
  495.
  496. SV: Depends on where the meta's at too because different playstyles and someone's best champs get buffed or nerfed.
  497.
  498. D: Well, if I was a clone, I'd probably be camping Regi so--(Scarra laughs) I don't know, depending on the knowledge. It'd be pretty interesting to watch, if it could ever happen, 'cause Xpecial would know things and I'll know things and we'll just sell each other out or something. I don't know.
  499.
  500.
  501. (26:27 - NA vs China, Xpecial's sidetracked rant)
  502.
  503.
  504. T: Alright, well let's move on to the all-star tournament. So the first round you guys play China, what do you guys think are your chances of beating China right now?
  505.
  506. SV: Honestly, 50-50, it could go either way. Like they're high mechanics, good skill, but I think that preparation's going to win the game.
  507.
  508. T: Ok, and you guys all agree on this?
  509.
  510. D: We have a surprising amount of preparation. I've never felt so cheated in League of Legends where I have someone doing all of the replays and they have a board and a map and all that like--and a coach. It's a huge difference, it's literally like 7 on 5 or 7 on 7.
  511.
  512. X: On TSM, we try really hard, we always get replays and stuff and we always talk about it (D: No we don't.) We do, we do--well I do.
  513.
  514. D: You do, but what happens is "We should look at this replay!" and 5 hours later we're all doing something else.
  515.
  516. X: Well, we've gotten better at that, but here there's much more structure. Liquid--I feel like, when you talk to Regi, he doesn't like having a coach. He doesn't like having authority over him, that's a problem I brought up way back, but it wasn't a problem because we were winning, but I really feel like...If we had a coach, if we had an analyst, that could really elevate our play to seriously contest World's if we had two more members on the team that could serve as extra members. I feel it's so big and I'll bring it up with TSM, we'll see what happens....I forgot where I was going. Uhh...what were we talking about again?
  517.
  518. (Scarra facepalming/laughing in the background)
  519.
  520. T: We were talking about how--how---
  521.
  522. SV: The chances of beating China.
  523.
  524. X: Ohhh, right. So okay, uh. Oh yeah, so I feel that we have even footing because of all of replays and how little that can be known about us and how much can be known about them. There's so much mystery about it, I think it really depends on who gets bird flu and whoever gets bird flu will probably lose.
  525.
  526. D: I'm just banking on the fact that iG and We hate each other, hopefully they'll kick each other in the foot or something.
  527.
  528. X: I don't think that's going to happen.
  529.
  530. DL: It's also just a lot easier since, they have 2 teams and we have---(S: Three.) four. Four?
  531.
  532. S: Yeah, we have four.
  533.
  534. DL: We're split from among four teams so it's really hard to get information on us.
  535.
  536.
  537. (28:50 - DOG INTERMISSION)
  538.
  539.
  540. T: So I actually brought up, I think despite what you guys have said though, people would still consider--are we all looking at the dog right now?
  541.
  542. DL: It's so cool!
  543.
  544. S: That dog is [fucking amazing.]
  545.
  546. T: I don't know if the camera can get that in the shot, by the way.
  547.
  548. X: Oh, he just stopped!
  549.
  550. SV: Geova, Geova! Come here! Geova, come here!
  551.
  552. S: This dog is the reason why I like this house.
  553.
  554. DL: I know, exactly dude!
  555.
  556. D: This dog is the reason why I like this house too.
  557.
  558. T: Do you guys think you'd all perform better if you had dogs in the house?
  559.
  560. S: This dog.
  561.
  562. D: This dog? Yeah.
  563.
  564. SV: I think pets honestly raise the atmosphere in the house. Like if you have a bad game, you're like, "FUCK THIS GAME." And then you're like, "Oh, she's a dog." (Dyrus says something in the background about "[she ate my food]"?)
  565.
  566. T: So if you guys win All-Stars, does Geova (the Curse dog) get the credit?
  567.
  568. (everyone agrees)
  569. S: Yeah, absolutely.
  570. DL: It's actually 8 on 7.
  571. D: ...she's licking my shoe.
  572.
  573.
  574. (29:50 - NA vs EU, Korean teams)
  575.
  576.
  577. T: Enough about the dog, so I think a lot of people would still consider it a huge upset if you guys beat China despite what you guys have said. So let's say you guys lose and you go up against Europe. So the other day, on Whose League--
  578.
  579. S: Wait, a second, are you saying Europe's not going to beat Korea? Is that what you're saying?
  580.
  581. DL: I'll have you know, Edward tweeted something about, I forgot, but they're still going to lose. (laughter)
  582.
  583. T: So it's so funny, yesterday, I guess it was Tuesday, we were discussing this on Whose League and I said it seems like NA's bootcamping and putting a lot more into it. And everyone was like, "NO EU IS!" and the only thing that they've come up with is Edward made ONE TWEET, one time, about beating one team like in one game.
  584.
  585. SV: WHOA WHOA WHOA, you're trying to use LOGIC here? With the League of Legends community. You just calm that down right now.
  586.
  587. D: You've gotta be careful.
  588.
  589. SV: I honestly think that Korea could've had a much stronger team than they picked though.
  590.
  591. T: Oh yeah?
  592.
  593. SV: I feel like they could've picked much better people.
  594.
  595. X: They kinda have the old guys from last year who were really good last year, but then there's new players on the scene that have potential.
  596.
  597. SV: Yeah, they should've had Faker mid. (X: Faker mid.)
  598.
  599. D: Flame top, maybe?
  600.
  601. SV: Who top? Yeah, probably Flame top.
  602.
  603. X: Shy's been playing really well though!
  604.
  605. D: Well they play against each other so I assume they're both good.
  606.
  607. SV: But I think their mid and AD carry could be better.
  608.
  609. S: I don't know, I like Ambition, I think he's really good.
  610.
  611. SV: He's good, he's consistent, but Faker's like, "I just dumpstered your whole team"
  612.
  613. X: You don't need everyone to make plays on your team though, that's the thing.
  614.
  615. SV: That's true.
  616.
  617. X: Like Insec's--[???]
  618.
  619. D: (sarcastically) But it's a higher level if everyone's making plays!
  620.
  621. X: I mean, I guess.
  622.
  623. DL: That's true for every All-Star team.
  624.
  625. X: That's kinda what you want on an All-Star team, someone who makes plays, but you don't need 5 players who make plays--that's kinda--
  626.
  627. DL: That's our team!
  628.
  629. D: (sarcastically) Then it just becomes a standard game if everyone's making plays, the level of play's higher now.
  630.
  631. X: So back to the whole All-Stars thing and the bootcamp, China's actually putting a lot of practice in. A week ago, WE's analyst, the guy's name is Aaron, he was talking to me, asking about AllStars, asking what we're up to and I was like, "Oh yeah, we're going to practice." He sent me a picture from a Chinese forum, showing iG and We already bootcamping a week ago. (DL: Damnnnn) So I was like, "Wow, that was fast." China's putting a lot of effort into it, but...let's see who comes out on top.
  632.
  633. SV: Yeah, some of the teams didn't have to go through relegations (clears throat conspicuously).
  634.
  635. S: Oh, god. / DL: Oh, god, I'm so glad I'm not the only one.
  636.
  637. T: This is a team that used to be comprised of the top four teams in America.
  638.
  639. X: Damn. / S: Wowww.
  640.
  641. T: Yeah, I just said that.
  642.
  643. DL: Get Don'tMashMe in here.
  644.
  645.
  646. (32:38 - better team than EU?, SEA's chances, bracket confusion)
  647.
  648.
  649. T: So, alright, let's just say based on other people's odds, you'd face EU in the loser's bracket. I said I think there's a chance that NA might have a stronger team than EU. And the entire Twitch chat just lit up with "Travis is so dumb"--even Panky and Gnomesayin both burst into laughter. Do you guys think that's a very unfair assessment? Are you guys going to back me up on this that you might actually have the stronger team?
  650.
  651. X: I don't care. Once we play, if we win, you can shittalk the world!
  652.
  653. D: Then you'll be laughing, but if we lose, you can just be like 'ehhh'.
  654.
  655. T: Yeah, please win so I can trashtalk them on my show.
  656.
  657. SV: (laughs) What?
  658.
  659. S: That's like the LAST reason we want to win--
  660.
  661. D: Alright, just for you Travis!
  662.
  663. DL: I'm doing this for TRAVIS.
  664.
  665. SV: [AMERICA] THE LAST HOPE FOR TRAVIS.
  666.
  667. T: Yes, thank you, I appreciate that. You guys are...great. So you guys don't want to talk about whether you guys are better than Europe.
  668.
  669. SV: Well we're just going to beat China so--
  670.
  671. DL: We're not expecting to--
  672.
  673. T: Well, what happens when you end up with Europe in the finals bracket?
  674.
  675. D: We're not aiming to lose and play Europe, we're aiming to try and win and then we'll just deal with it as it comes.
  676.
  677. SV: The better question would be can Europe beat China in the loser's bracket?
  678.
  679. T: Okay, there we go.
  680.
  681. D: Ohh...oh god. (everyone laughs)
  682.
  683. T: Alright, so what do you guys think. We already talked a little about China, Korea, what about Southeast Asia?
  684.
  685. X: What's that?
  686.
  687. SV: Their team that they picked is so random. They didn't even pick anyone from TPS--
  688.
  689. DL: Well they could only have 3 people from one region. So like, Taiwan was limited to three--
  690.
  691. SV: Oh really?
  692.
  693. DL: It was like 80% vote and the next down was Singapore with 1% of the vote, but that guy got it because it just goes down to the next person.
  694.
  695. SV: Not to say that SGS isn't like-- (S: Good?) good, but they could've had a much, much stronger team.
  696.
  697. D: It's the only Asian team we've beat.
  698.
  699. DL: Their video was so bad. "We are the team," and then they all do this (thumbs up) and I'm like "WHAT THE FUCK?"
  700.
  701. T: So you guys don't think SEA is going to come out hitting on this?
  702.
  703. SV: I think they got the short-end of the stick when it came to the picking of the All-Stars.
  704.
  705. X: I don't even know how the brackets work beyond the first round.
  706.
  707. SV: They have a bye.
  708.
  709. X: Who plays against them?
  710.
  711. D: Whoever wins our match.
  712.
  713. S: Whoever wins the loser bracket game. Wait...I dont' know.
  714.
  715. T: I think it's whoever wins Europe and Korea and then loser bracket plays whoever wins you guys. Am I right on this Feng? No? Who is it?
  716.
  717. Feng: SEA plays whoever wins China vs NA.
  718.
  719. D: That's what I thought!
  720.
  721. T: Oh, well there we go.
  722.
  723. X: Why is that? So we have to play an extra game to get into the finals?
  724.
  725. S: No, so they just play one less game.
  726.
  727. DL: They have a bye, they have a straight up bye I guess because TPA won season 2.
  728.
  729. (general confusion)
  730.
  731. S: There's 5 teams and there's a special double elim bracket just for the first round.
  732.
  733. X: So we have to play an extra round?
  734.
  735. (more confusion)
  736.
  737. DL: Wait, so I'm confused, the winner of Korea vs Europe who do they play?
  738.
  739. T: They play the loser's bracket team.
  740.
  741. (general agreement that the bracket works out)
  742.
  743.
  744. (36:28 - Europe's team)
  745.
  746.
  747. T: What about Europe, what do you guys think about their team?
  748.
  749. SV: Uhhh.
  750.
  751. DL: Who's on their team?
  752.
  753. D: 3 Russians, Yellowpete and Soaz.
  754.
  755. DL: I think Soaz is not that good. He's just whatever. And their AD, Yellowpete is--
  756.
  757. D: Ohhh, Reddit's going to hate you!
  758.
  759. DL: I mean, he's my former teammate. He's alright.
  760.
  761. T: No, we're not talking about Yellowpete, it's the Soaz thing that people are really going to hate you for. You should give a reason on why you don't think he's that good.
  762.
  763. X: He's trash.
  764.
  765. SV: Yeah, just give them a standard Doublelift answer.
  766.
  767. DL: No, I just watched, I mean he's really innovative, but ehh (shrugs). (T: Ehhh?) He's ok. I've never been like really impressed. I don't think he can match up to Pray or Madlife bottom lane, that's pretty hard.
  768.
  769. T: What about their team as a whole? Do you think the language is going to be an issue?
  770.
  771. DL: There's language issues and EU teams all play really different so.
  772.
  773. SV: Yeah, Diamondpr0x rarely speaks english, so. I don't know how that's going to go down. It's going to be a huge issue with language barriers and when you're jungler doesn't even like--is he just going to be pinging furiously when he's coming or?
  774.
  775. D: Just need two words: Kill this! Kill Soraka!
  776.
  777. S: I think they might have a shot because Gambit's always been the team where they have the midlaner and the jungler carry the game, that's literally how Gambit works and they have the midlaner and jungler so maybe they just use that synergy and work--
  778.
  779. SV: Yeah, but they're going to be against Insec who is arguably a better jungler. (S: Yeah, that's true, that's true.)
  780.
  781. D: Also Gambit, they have a minimal amount of practice so they probably have more time to practice. You know how their flights are like 24 hours?
  782.
  783. X: They didn't have relegation and I don't think they're bootcamping, so I don't think they have to fly anywhere.
  784.
  785. SV: Yeah, I mean, we're going to fly a week in advance and we'll practice there, like Riot's giving us four days to practice in China.
  786.
  787. D: Oh really, we have four more days? That'll be great. I thought we were just going in once we fly there.
  788.
  789. T: I can tell you guys really know how this all works.
  790.
  791. F?: NORTH AMERICA!
  792.
  793. D: YOLO.
  794.
  795. X: We didn't get our schedule until yesterday so that's kinda understandable.
  796.
  797. SV: Yeah, we have a rough idea what's going down.
  798.
  799.
  800. (39:04)
  801.
  802.
  803. T: Do you guys have any cheese planned?
  804.
  805. (overlapping)
  806. X: We've just got CLG's team rubbing off on us--
  807. SV: Doublelift's cheese is so--
  808. DL: We're trying to incorporate CLG's cheese--my team's too pussy to handle that kind of cheese, but maybe the All Star team--
  809. SV: Because your cheese is--"Alright, level 1, we're all going to flash over their wall in their base and kill them all coming out of their fountain."
  810. DL: It's fucking genius!
  811.
  812. D: I think we just brought a little bit from all of us. Xpecial, scumbag, has a secret strat.
  813.
  814. X: What? So we had a cheese, we were using, but we lost with it. So I was going to bring it here, but--ok, nevermind. We all have cheeses on our team that we sometimes haven't used.
  815.
  816. DL: We're just bringing different stuff and it's like a fondue now!
  817.
  818. X: It's a mixture of cheese so like I have some mozzarella, Peter has some cheddar--
  819.
  820. SV: Now you guys are taking this cheese thing WAY too far. You're like trying to make a whole pizza.
  821.
  822. D: Put some pasta, spaghetti--
  823.
  824.
  825. (40:32 - 1v1 and 2v2 showmatches, feat. WildTurtle's Crit Garen)
  826.
  827.
  828. T: Let's move on, so there's going to be these 1v1 and 2v2 showmatches. (S: Oh god.) Do you know any details or can you speak about any of those details?
  829.
  830. SV: I don't even know, I can't wait to see the jungle challenge, is there going to be like rogue creeps coming down the lane and you've gotta smite them or something?
  831.
  832. DL: You're going to lose every one.
  833.
  834. SV: Well that's dumb! Because there's so many variables in that like people DPSing and some Gragas comes in and steals that--
  835.
  836. DL: I think the 1v1 competition for junglers is literally going to be a 1v1. I played in the 2v2 match and I pooed all over Xpecial and WildTurtle.
  837.
  838. X: FUCKING TURTLE went the stupidest champion and the--HE WENT FUCKING CRIT ON GAREN.
  839.
  840. DL: I know, wait--you went crit on Garen.
  841.
  842. S: He was Garen.
  843.
  844. X: I was Ezreal.
  845.
  846. DL: What the fuck, you were Ezreal?
  847.
  848. X: He was Garen. He fucking went CRIT ON GAREN. WHO DOES THAT??
  849.
  850. SV: It doesn't even apply on his E. His Q can't crit anymore either.
  851.
  852. X: I was like--dude, what are you doing? And he was like, "I'VE GOT THIS." Then we get shit on and I'm like, "What the fuck?"
  853.
  854. DL: All I know is that there was a Riot inhouse 2v2 competition and I almost won.
  855.
  856. SV: The map's not very balanced though, you can cheese so hard on it.
  857.
  858. DL: I think the map's perfectly fine! What kind of cheese can you do on it?
  859.
  860. SV: Any support--[???] starts so close to the fountain. If you have a support you can just shove them into the fountain all day.
  861.
  862. X: I mean, yeah, there's going to be cheeses and stuff, but it comes down to who can adapt to it.
  863.
  864. T: What is the overall hope for NA to win All-Stars?
  865.
  866. D: I feel like we're a black horse.
  867.
  868. T/SV: Dark horse?
  869.
  870. D: Yeah...same thing.
  871.
  872. S: Same thing.
  873.
  874. T: So NA the Dark Horse of the tournament?
  875.
  876. SV: Yeah, I mean people always write off NA. We won the last technical international All-Star tournament, WCG baby!
  877.
  878. X: So we're the All-Star champions.
  879.
  880. T: The reigning All-Star champions returning to take the trophy once again. I like that.
  881.
  882. D: So if we lose, it'll be an upset.
  883.
  884. (everyone laughs)
  885.
  886.
  887. (42:50 - Meta Talk)
  888.
  889.
  890. T: So let's talk about the variation in playstyles between regions. What would you say is the difference?
  891.
  892. SV: I think they're pretty similar right now except for China. All of the metas are pretty close. People all research other regions and are like, "Wow, that looks pretty cool, we should do that!" and they pick it up. And you can see it, maybe one day in the NA LCS they're playing Jayce and then next week you'll see it in Korea or visa versa. Or like Kennen, played in the Korean LCS and then next week in the NA.
  893.
  894. T: You said China's a little different.
  895.
  896. SV: China's like--we don't wanna fight and they just farm. The teams won't even go after the other team like you just take those towers, we'll just take these towers over here.
  897.
  898. S: They get a gentleman's truce which is really weird.
  899.
  900. DL: China doesn't really like to fight until 30 mins and I feel like it'll clash with other regions styles like ours where we do want to fight you.
  901.
  902. T: So is it true that this is going to be on the patch before Lissandra?
  903.
  904. SV: It's current patch, but Sejuani, Trundle and Lissandra are disabled.
  905.
  906. X: Lissandra patch, not the current, current patch.
  907.
  908. (discussion about whether the patch came out or not, since this is tech. from the past, it's not really relevant)
  909.
  910. T: Either way, it's the Freljord patch with Trundle, Sejuani and Lissandra disabled?
  911.
  912. X: Yep.
  913.
  914. T: So you guys can't pull out the Sejuani.
  915.
  916. SV: I don't like that champion anyways.
  917.
  918. T: It was a joke. So what do you think of the patch in particular, do you think there's anything abusive or--?
  919.
  920. X: Nothing that we want to talk about right now.
  921.
  922. SV: Even then the latest patch I don't think fixed any of it.
  923.
  924. DL: I think different regions value different champions and we have a lot of NA values on champs.
  925.
  926.
  927. (45:20 - Other questions)
  928.
  929. T: General thoughts on the LCS?
  930.
  931. X: I think relegation sucks, I mean teams that have to go to relegation, I feel pretty bad for them.
  932.
  933. SV: I feel like the structure for it is dumb.
  934.
  935. DL: I hate how--obviously I'm biased because I WENT through relegation, but I'll just use a better example because we had a really bad record through LCS--Dignitas had a really good record. They played really well throughout the LCS, they had a couple of bad weeks, whatever, but at the end of the LCS they had like 18 wins, 10 losses. And they're no different when it comes to Playoffs and Relegations than GGU who went like 5-20. Cause top two teams are safe, but for the other teams, for 5-8 (he meant 3-6, I think) it means nothing. You have a chance to go into relegation, no job security and if you have one bad week in playoffs and you lose a best of 3, you go 1-2, now you're in relegations. So what was the point of the last 3 months of playing?
  936.
  937. X: 1 and 2 and not being 7 and 8, those are the only spots that matter. 3 and 6 are literally exactly the same. I feel like there should be a distinction. Maybe I play a best out of 5 and 3 would have one game up or something? There should be some advantage, I don't know what, but 3 shouldn't be the same as 6. There were literally 10 game differences where team 3 won 10 games more than 6, but it allows teams like GGU to come in second because of that.
  938.
  939. T: Well, what about outside of the format? You guys have been participating for 3 months, two of you managed to sneak back in. So what do you think of it? Is it cool? Do you miss the old days of NESL tournaments?
  940.
  941. X: I--oh you can go.
  942.
  943. DL: I miss traveling to new places like IEM and MLG and going to these places with live audiences. It was just cool, "Oh, I'm going to Korea, this time I'm going to Germany" blahblahblah. But I like that Riot did LCS, it's the best thing that could've possibly happened for eSports and for like my career. That's just the one thing I miss, I mean the stability for my career, the income, how they treat us players--they treat us really well, so it's good.
  944.
  945. T: Anyone else want to chime in on that?
  946.
  947. SV: I agree with that, but I do miss a live audience. It's nice to just have people out there that just get hyfee.
  948.
  949. T: Looking foward to that for All-Stars?
  950.
  951. SV: Oh yeah, it's like a 10000 person arena?
  952.
  953. T: Something like that.
  954.
  955. DL: Damn, that's a lot.
  956.
  957. T: The patch that's hitting, any thoughts on that?
  958.
  959. SV: They buffed Nunu, baby! He's back!
  960.
  961. DL: They nerfed Caitlyn.
  962.
  963. S: Yes!
  964.
  965. DL: I'm tired of dealing with Caitlyn. I was a Caitlyn main before everyone started playing her and I just got sick of seeing her.
  966.
  967. S: Hipster.
  968.
  969. X: I know.
  970.
  971. DL: I was!
  972.
  973. SV: Uhh, SYDTKO (former CRS sub) was the original Caitlyn?
  974.
  975. DL: That's true, SYDTKO was the original Caitlyn.
  976.
  977. T: Anything else? Mikael's?
  978.
  979. DL: Custom item sets, that's probably the biggest thing. Especially for competitive play (SV: It helps out.) It's probably one of the biggest things for competitive play.
  980.
  981. SV: 'cause you have to get out of the spawn like INSTANTLY. If you want to get somewhere? And I'm sitting there like, "Why the heck isn't machete in Jarvan's recommended items? The hell is this shit?"
  982.
  983. X: It provides consistency, a lot of times when I play different supports, I don't have support items listed, I don't have WARDS listed. So it's like switch tabs-find the pink wards-minimize my item shop cause it's so damn big now, I hate the giant item shop.
  984.
  985. D: I don't even read patch notes...
  986.
  987. T: Yeah, you just play the game.
  988.
  989. D: Yeah, I just play the game, when I see something surprising it's like, "WHAT THE."
  990.
  991. X: Potions are in the wrong spot again? Oh god!
  992.
  993. DL: Blue and red have switched spots like 4 times.
  994.
  995. D: I bought 5 mana potions on Kennen, I was so sad.
  996.
  997.
  998. (50:00 - Twitter Questions)
  999.
  1000.
1001. T: I've brought this up before, but I'll ask again so you guys can have your final say. Notechu says, "How hard is it to carry Doublelift, I keep hearing comments about unable to dodge bindings and derping in some games."
  1002.
1003. DL: FUCKING HELL. Every question!
  1004.
1005. T: Any final comments on that, any hopes that you have for him to get better.
  1006.
  1007. S: I think, at least--
  1008.
  1009. DL: Choose wisely.
  1010.
1011. S: At least Doublelift is always ahead, to the point where he matters before he gets hit by a binding. I mean, at least he gets to the point where he IS a threat and then isn't a threat once he's dead. So at least that's a positive thing! (double thumbs up)
  1012.
1013. X: I personally like to see players play overaggressive and then slowly tone it down rather than be too passive and try to tone it up. So it's good that he's so aggressive and we just need to tone it down a little bit, we still have a few days, so hopefully it gets to the point where maybe he gets hit by a few bindings and dies a few times, but hopefully it's only once every three games.
  1014.
1015. SV: And he's been getting some 1 on 1 training with fabbyyy in solo queue.
  1016.
1017. DL: Holy, it's the most I've ever improved.
  1018.
  1019. SV: He's a god now.
  1020.
1021. T: Second question from [toetheleft], "If you could change one thing about each other's playstyles, what would it be?"
  1022.
1023. DL: I don't think Saint ever backs, he's always like, "GO."
  1024.
  1025. D: He's like, "I'm going!" There's no second option. "We're going guys!"
  1026.
1027. DL: It's like "Go" or "Go"--choose one. It's like "What the fuck?"
  1028.
1029. SV: Bigger champion pool out of Scarra.
  1030.
  1031. S: I think I could be more aggressive.
  1032.
1033. SV: Actually, I'm fine with Scarra, I like his playstyle with how the team fits him (DL: Yeah, I actually think Scarra [is a really good fit?]) because I can count on him, we're just going to go down there and you farm and I'm just going to get Doublelift fed.
  1034.
1035. D: It feels very secure when Scarra's just...there and not Regi being overaggressive trying to carry the game. He just gets his farm and is useful in team fights and does his job.
  1036.
1037. X: Yeah, Scarra's a big pillar and then we all hang onto him if we're feeding.
  1038.
1039. D: He's basically the giant pillow that catches all of us.
  1040.
  1041. SV: Giant pillow?
  1042.
  1043. S: I don't know about that...
  1044.
1045. T: Anything else you guys would change?
  1046.
1047. X: I think Doublelift could use some better headphones because he can't hear a lot--? I suggest like..some Astro's? (Astros are TSM sponsors) (laughter)
  1048.
1049. DL: It's because my RAZER TM product, I left the adapter at home. Or else I'd be using the TOP OF THE LINE, QUALITY HEADSET. (Razer is CLG sponsor) (more laughter)
  1050.
1051. T: Anyone else want to say something for their sponsors?
  1052.
1053. D: I think--this is one of the major fixes for communication, what I did was turn my game volume down, so I just think that Doublelift needs to turn his game volume down.
  1054.
1055. DL: It's like blasting so loud, I can't hear anything.
  1056.
1057. D: You'll notice a huge improvement in hearing your teammates.
  1058.
1059. SV: How are you supposed to hear Singed's laugh then?
  1060.
1061. D: No one picks that champion anymore. Well--you can still hear it, you can make voice full and master volume low.
  1062.
1063. T: Anything you guys want to say to the fans who will be tuning in next weekend?
  1064.
1065. D: I'll do my best, we'll do our best, that's all I can say.
  1066.
1067. X: I really think that people are going to be pleasantly surprised by how well we're doing and how well we'll do. And hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me in the ass.
  1068.
1069. S: I'll go with Xpecial on this, there's such a circlejerk that NA's the worst region, NA sucks, and it's gotten to the point where people are [agreeing?] with it which is the worst thing to see because I feel like it undermines the professional players in the NA scene. Yeah, I'll back Xpecial on this, they'll be surprised on how well we play.
  1070.
1071. D: (sarcastically) Why watch NA when you can watch Korea or China, ughh.
  1072.
1073. DL: I think all of our games are going to be interesting and fun to watch and we're just going to keep fighting them. So it's going to be really interesting.
  1074.
1075. SV: Hit the go button.
  1076.
1077. DL: Hit the go button.
  1078.
1079. T: Saint will make sure of that, I guess. Alright, shoutouts/plugs whatever you guys want to say. Dyrus you want to go?
  1080.
1081. D: (SPONSOR SHOUTOUT) I think I got them all. (camera pans to Xpecial as Dyrus looks to him)
  1082.
1083. X: And all of the fans, (rest of the solomid sites). Travis, Gamespot. Riot--the team! Dyrus!
  1084.
  1085. SV: My mom! Jesus!
  1086.
1087. DL: I'd like to thank the academy.
  1088.
  1089. D: Geova?
  1090.
1091. DL: Damn, CLG's not that baller! (Sponsor shoutout) Riot thanks for sponsoring us.
  1092.
1093. D/T/S: What about that IBUYPOWER, HUH?
  1094.
1095. DL: OH SHIT. Yeah, I was saving that one for last because it's the most important. (shoutout)
  1096.
1097. SV: (Sponsor shoutout, including Crs sites) and of course our fans--but not Travis, not that guy.
  1098.
1099. S: I'd like to say our fans, I think it's been said a million times, but--
  1100.
1101. T: You can say it.
  1102.
1103. SV: That's the most important one.
  1104.
1105. S: Yeah, it's the most important, you're right, thanks a lot to our fans, none of us would be here without your support obviously (D: Yeah.) (Sponsor shoutout) and the rest of our sponsors, don't laugh at me, I don't remember them all!
  1106.
1107. DL: Oh god. (Saint shakes his head)
  1108.
  1109. ??: Where's Odee (Dignitas manager)?
  1110.
1111. S: He's going to be so mad at me after this!

1113. T: Thanks to everyone for being on here, thanks to the community who got the thread to the top of the page, thanks Liquid and the rest of Crs, and all of the other teams (CLG/Dignitas/TSM) for giving approval for their players to be on, Gamespot for sponsoring this, and I'll be in Shanghai doing interviews whenever they go out the first round and don't even make it into the loser's bracket somehow and prove all the NA haters right. I know I'll be there whenever they win the whole thing, so be sure to check it out at gamesport.com/esports.
