<Kkat> Few things are as rare and precious, or as sought after, as answers.   The caravan ponies and their friends have been waiting... and now, with the news that their client's agent is finally awake, they should finally get the answers they seek.  Right?

* MItzi is now known as Mitzi

<Kkat> --- Session Begins ---

* Mitzi twiddles her thumbs. Because unlike ponies, she actually has them

* CopyCat follows behind the others even though shes walked this route to the Inn hundreds of times before.

* CopyCat gives voice to Kid

* Mitzi gives voice to Bookwright

* Kid cracks her lithe neck and checks her barrels as she's prone to when she gets antsy. Yup. Still buckshot. Ew, might hoof this off to Shatara for a little TNL.

* Kar-Mowing is now known as Yoshi

* Kid stops before they get to the inn. Well,  this was it. Things were finally going to make sense. Questions being answered. The most pressing, of course, being "When am I getting paid?"

* Bookwright wonders "So, does anyone know what the name of our guest is?"

* Mitzi stands next to Kid. Looking down at the filly, she ponders; "How come yu wanteen tu get paid more than tu find out why fancee ponee wuz shot?"

* CopyCat shakes her head at Bookwright. "No, I do not think I have met him... but I had a question. Do you draw every pony that you meet?"

* Kid ponders out loud herself. "Th' one that got shot, r' th' shooter." She looks at Mitzi and rubs the back of her mane. "'Cause, jus' because we're well fed don't mean we're gon' stay that way."

* Mitzi looks contemplative; "Monee can maybe buy fud, but can yu not hunt also?"

* Bookwright shakes his head, "No. In most cases a written description is plenty, but Alicorns are rare, even in this day and age. Besides, I like to remember..."

* Kid blows a strand of mane hair out of her eye. "Well, yeah. But we're goin' up in th' mountains. In th' cold. There's a reason I dun like th' cold, and it ain't jus' that I dun like th' fact it freezes mah lil' behind off."

* CopyCat smiles. "That's a good idea! Sometimes it is hard to remember things, like your head gets so full that other things fall out. I'd forget my own name if I didn't have it written down!"

* Kid pffs. "Not even no grass up there t' munch on."

* Mitzi nods; "Manee game sleep during da winter."

<Kkat> The ponies, hellhound and griffin reach the Lightbringer Inn.  The warm glow from lamps and fireplace bask a vacant lobby.  Nopony seems to be around.

* Mitzi lumbers over to the counter and rings the service bell remarkably delicately for someone her size

* Kid gets a very bad feeling and slowly goes for her gun. "Ey. I dun like this. Too quiet."

* CopyCat looks around the lobby. "Oh, I have to appologise for not being able to help on Friday but there's no pony around."

* Mitzi looks back at CopyCat; "Yu workeen here tu?"

* Kid slyly hugs t

<Kid> he wall. "Where's th' room?"

* CopyCat takes a moment to respond. "Yes on Friday mornings I help clean the rooms." She turns to Kid " Which room was yours?"

<Kid> "Ah' dunno. Weren't around when they got it."

* Mitzi looks to CopyCat; "Helpeen eex gud, but alpha shud know dere limits. Doeen tu much hurts alpha, den hurts everyun else."

<Mitzi> *eez

* CopyCat looks down, her attempt to be helpful thwarted. "Oh. Um, the rooms have numbers on them too so I guess you don't really need me."

* Bookwright stops short. "Uh, does anyone know which room our guest is in...?"

* Kid blinks. "Didn' you buy th' damn room?"

* Bookwright trails off and twitches his nostrils, snorfling. "That's weird..."

* Kid narrows her eye. "What is? That ya'll dun forgot where yer sleepin' tonight?"

* Bookwright screws up his face trying to winkle out the scent... nothing. "Hm. It's almost like ozone, but... like the smell in the air after a spell is discharged..."

* Bookwright opens his eyes. "I think we need to check on our guest. Now."

* Yoshi is now known as Kar-Mowing

* Mitzi sniffs the air for the smell Bookwright was describing; "Uh smell sumting funny. Follow Ur." She then follows her nose!

* Bookwright concurs, "Lead the way!"

<Kkat> Mitzi is able to pick up the scent not only of the odd, lingering odor that Bookwright noticed, but the scent of two members of their group.  Finding their rooms should be as easy as following the scents of Get_Lost and Crescendo!

* Mitzi follows the smell to the room and hastily slams the door open

* CopyCat steps into a supply cupboard and steps out a moment later dressed as a maid and armed with a duster. "I had an idea!"

* Kid scoffs lightly as she followed. "Ah was just gonna suggest knockin'."

<Kkat> Mitzi tracks the smell to room 16B.  There is something tied to the doorknob, and the door is locked.

* Mitzi points to the sign in the door; "Can one uv yu read dis?" She stands poised to break the door down if needed. She was good at that.

* You are now known as Crescendo_

* Crescendo_ opens the door, his hat askew and his mane ruffled. "Oh thank Celestia! That mare is crazy and I need a drink."

* Mitzi blinks, then sniffs Crescendo

* Crescendo_ straightens his hat and turns back at the sound of a voice from inside. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." He walks past the group, letting the close behind him, presumably heading to a tavern.

* Kid is now known as NotFridge

* CopyCat gives voice to Kid

* CopyCat watches a bandage trailing behind Crescendo, stuck to the bottom of his hoof. "I think it's the next room that you want."

* Mitzi shrugs and moves to the next room over, knocking

* Kid 's mouth curls in disgust. "Yeah, yeah I figure you're right."

<Kkat> Room 16A is also locked.  But there are two other entrances.  Rooms 16A and B are adjoining.  16A also features a rear balcony.

* Mitzi doesn't notice anything

* Mitzi knocks harder

* Kid half-lids her eyes at the hellhound. Really, Mitzi? She enters 16B and attempts to find an entrance and open it.

* Mitzi continues knocking, oblivious

* Kar-Mowing is now known as Yoshi

<Kkat> Most of the party ears a soft *thump* from inside the room when Mitzi knocks.

* Kid tries the door on 16B.

<Kid> (in, rather.)

* CopyCat bits her lip and looks over at the door to 15A. "I could hop across the balconies to get into your room and open the door. Would you like that?"

<Kkat> Kid moves into Crescendo and Get_Lost's love den, and tries the door that separates the two rooms.  The door is unlocked and swings open easily...

* Mitzi knocks -harder-

* Mitzi still seems to have a little difficulty controlling her massive strength, and smashes the door into splinters. She gags a little as something wafts outwards

* CopyCat flinches as the door caves in. "Oh dear..."

* Mitzi feels her eyes watering and squints into the room

* Kid feels her eye sting, water. The world was slowly turning into a blur. Shit! She opens the door wide and gets back. "Shit! There's somethin' /wrong/ in there! We need t' get whatever th' hell's in there out!"

* Bookwright steps hurriedly back from the door.

<Kkat> Kid and Mitzi stare into the room through opened (or removed) doors. They can see the unconscious bodies of their client's agent and the Black Talon griffin through a haze of poisonous gas. The gas grenades lay on the floor, spent. The balcony doors, their glass-and-lattice windows shattered, hang open...

<Kkat> ... And another Black Talon griffin stands on the balcony just outside. Wingblades glisten along her wings, and her sharp talons are currently strapping a griffin-made gas mask over her beak.

* Bookwright moves up next to Mitzi to see what has shocked her so'

* Mitzi growls loudly as she sees the other griffon. She snarls and charges him, not wanting to give him a chance to get away.

* CopyCat surrounds herself in a shield and steps into the room past Mitzi. She hasn't seen the other griffin. "Oh dear oh dear." She tries to left the two unconcious bodies with her telekinesis.

* Kid staggers back a while and takes a few deep breaths to get... Whatever that is out of her system. Wait. SHIT! "Shit, we need t' get them out of there! We need t' save them! We don't get answers an' don' get paid without those two! Come on!" She looks around for something she could use to help. Come on, come... Coffee? Coffee! "Coffee!" She pitches a can of Extra-Strength Coffee that she got...

* Kid ...from the Solaris building to Mitzi. "Get them out! Now!"

* Ilushia is now known as Noble_Heart

* CopyCat senses hostility coming from the balcony like a crushing wave and instinctivly reaching out to those nearby for help. Her companions may act a little faster.

* Bookwright draws his pistol, cursing his luck and pulling the trigger simultaneously.

<Kkat> One of the beams from Bookwright's laser sears across the griffin's feathers, but the weapon glitches before he can do serious damage to the assassin.

* Bookwright abandons his attack and backs out of the doorway, wondering if it was a bad idea to curse his luck just then...

* CopyCat spurred on by the group's feeling of urgency she tries to drag the unconcious griffin and pony away with her telekinesis while Mitzi charges across the room.

* Arcane_Scroll[A] is now known as Arcane_Scroll

<Kkat> CopyCat begins pulling the unconscious griffin and pony out of the room.  Mercifully, the do not look like they have been harmed further.  The assassin was waiting for the gas to take full effect before entering, and that delay has cost her her prize(s).

* Mitzi charges across the room, snraling furiously and slamming into the griffon with all the force she can muster

* ChanServ gives channel operator status to mimezinga

* Yoshi is now known as Kar-Dinner

<Kkat> Mitzi charges across the gap, slamming into the griffin with a bone-jarring thud, sending the two of them sailing over the balcony.  A moment later, there is a crash from below.

* mimezinga is now known as Get_Lost

* Get_Lost jumps outside her room, still with all of hger hooves tied together in bandages and evidently in distress; she doesn't even say a word

* Get_Lost gives voice to Noble_Heart

* Noble_Heart delays not at all the moment Mitzi had vanished. Her shield already around her to protect against the gas and potential combat from their now-fallen foe. She rushed across the room, leaving CopyCat to drag the two within to safety and spread her wings, sailing towards the ground below as her horn glowed. A moment's concentration and the briefest delay to see if their enemy

* Noble_Heart was even still conscious before she flug a volley of purple energy beams at their form. And possibly Mitzi's as well. Not deliberately, mind you. "We will not let them escape!"

* CopyCat lets her shield fall when she brings the unconcious griffin and pony outside the room. Sensing distress she turns to Get_Lost in surprise. "Oh, err, can I help you?"

* Get_Lost snorts again "oh no don't worry, i'm perfectly fine, i always go around tied with bandages... you should try, it's fun!"

* Kar-Dinner is now known as Yoshi

* CopyCat cocks her head. Any sarcasm would wash over her head. "Okay! If you have some more bandages then I would like to join you."

* Get_Lost nds, since being a solaris requires a lot of adaptability "alright then, later we ill try, but no wings, okay? if you use wings you lose"

<Kkat> In the crash below, Mitzi fails to pin her opponent, getting tossed off but landing smartly on all fours.  The griffin, not so lucky, is splayed out amongst broken pottery, scattered fertilizer and white tulips.

* Mitzi is a Hellhound with cat-like reflexes. Go figure

* CopyCat grins. She was making friends! "Yes I will remember no wings."

* Eridani ([email protected]) has joined #FalloutEquestriaPNP

* Kid proceeds to help pull the captives out of the room. That griffon was being handled. "Hey! Hey, are y' awake? Are y' awake?" She clops her hooves together over the probably gassed and confused pony (and griffon) in front of her.

<Kkat> The griffin is blasted well and truly into utter unconsciousness.

* Mitzi pickes herself up and dusts herself off a bit. She then hunches over, flexing her claws in case the griffon was only playing possum

* Get_Lost nods again at CopyCat "sure, but first i need to checlk on the patients... by the way, what's this smell? i mean, besides the smell of my heat"

* Kid stared at Get_Lost, completely unamused. "Can ya'll, like, keep some of that shit to yerself?" She looked at the billowing cloud of gas. "I dunno, but shit's painful to be in."

* Bookwright mumbles from the corner, "So don't stand in it dummkopf."

* Bone_Marrow is now known as Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

* Get_Lost has quit (Quit: Leaving)

* CopyCat steps away from the two patients who have been leant up against the corridor wall. "A poison, I think. It stings a lot."

* Noble_Heart hmphs softly and drops her shield, thumping a forehoof against the ground. "Such an uncultured brute should never have attempted to attack Our charges! They shall join the others and answer Our questions when they awaken."

* Mitzi prods the griffon with a claw to make sure she's out. She wondered if a bit of 'aggressive preening' would be useful

* Kid narrows her eye and glares at Bookwright. "I didn't see ya'll openin' any doors with yer telekinesis, so 'scuse me fer getting a lil' too close!"

* Bookwright "Yes, I'll just use my LIGHTBRINGER LEVEL telekinetic OVERWHELMING POWER to open the door, instead of letting Mitzi open it at much less expenditure of energy. Also I'm not that telekinetically strong."

* Mitzi IS that strong, physically at least. Of course, she didn't really hear that comment so she continues eyeing the griffon.

* CopyCat looks between Kid and Bookwright, her own eyes watering as well. "Oh, please don't fight. I... I'm sure we can disperse it somehow. Maybe I can use my wings?"

* Stop_That has quit (Connection closed)

* Noble_Heart spreads her wings and moves up towards the window, hovering outside some distance. "Kid! We need your expertise. The attack has been neutralized, and We now require her restraint."

* Bookwright shrugs. "There's nobody in there now, just close the door so it doesn't get into the rest of the hotel and it'll dissipate out the gaping hole that used to be a set of Prench doors."

* Bookwright finishes unglitching his energy pistol and puts it away. "I'm going to go downstairs and get a closer look at this griffin friend of ours."

* Mitzi makes holes in teeth. Er... walls

* Kid lets her eye open wide with anger. "Wow! Ah didn't know ya'll don't have th' strength t' open an unlocked, unguarded, door wi' a loose handle that was in th' other room!" She looked at Noble and actually preferred what she was saying over what Bookwright was saying. "Sure, jus... Lemme get m' rope." She followed Noble, looking rather out of it.

* CopyCat bites her lip and glances at the loose door hinges... the door itself lying in several pieces on the floor. "Umm, closing the door might be difficult."

<Kkat> Sadly, the agent seems to be unconscious yet again.  Although hopefully the poison's effects will clear up in an hour or so.

* Noble_Heart beats her wings to help get the poison from the room a touch faster and helps Kid down from the window. "We wish to know why Our charge has been targeted by so many. It is unusual to see such lengths taken for a single pony's life."

* CopyCat shuts her eyes tightly and stands in the doorway, beating her wings to try and send the poison out the window. "Oww, oww. Oww."

* Kid rolls her eye. "Why else? Bet y' at th' end of th' day, it boils down t' caps." Rope, rope, rope. Oh, splendid. Last bit of rope on there.

* Kkat gives voice to Eridani

* Mitzi moves around the griffon to let Kid do her work, but extends a paw to near the griffon's neck in order to keep her down in the (unlikely) event that she woke up suddenly

* Noble_Heart whinnies in irritation. "What ponies or griffins would demand assassination of a New Canterlot citizen!? Such a thing is beyond acceptance. They must be punished for such offering such a reward." She glares down at the griffon. "And their minions shall be reminded of the laws of these lands as well!"

* Mitzi looks up to Noble_Heart curiously; "Ponee laws? Uh didn't know ponies had laws."

* Noble_Heart gave a snort, shaking her head to Mitzi. "Ponies have had a long history of laws, order and Harmony in our lands! Even the darkest of days were merely a setback upon those ideals. The New Canterlot Republic and the Followers of the Apocalypse remember the way things should be. And We shall not disappoint."

* Kid blinks as she pulls the last line tight. There. That one was more tied up that Get_Lost on a good day! "In case ya'll didn't know, I ain't a New Canterlot citizen, Noble. Not properly." It's how she's allowed to keep the name shuffle game going.

* Mitzi nods; "Uh see. Wit Ur kind, Alpha's wurd eez law. Who makes ponee law?"

* Bookwright "Ponies have a lot of laws, and most of them don't apply out here."

* Mitzi 's dogs are still at the inn somewhere. er player keeps forgetting about them <.<

<Mitzi> *her

* Noble_Heart shakes her head. "The Council in writes the laws by which ponies live." She looks to Bookwright and frowns. "Perhaps so. But We will not overlook an attempted assassination of an innocent pony. Least of all one which We have been charged with protecting!" She stomps a forehoof. "These griffons shall face justice and, in time, so shall their employers."

* Bookwright "I don't actually care whether or not the law applies out here, I'm merely interested in dealing with anyone who thinks they can assassinate someone and get away with it."

* CopyCat flaps away, breathing in a fresh dose of the poison even as she drives the rest of it out. "Nearly done, nearly done... feel tired." [PER dropped to 0] She slumps onto the ground and mumbles to herself. "Ah, I used my wings, that means I lose... oh dear." CC slips into unconciousness, happy in the knowledge that she was useful.
