"So ye be ask'n bout dat dur fool Jaenus, huh?" a gruff dwarf will call from the corner of the inn. "Well if ye be keep'n da ale flow'n in me mug, I be tell'n you what I know bout dat boy." he taps on his mug as he calls over the tavern wench for a refill.

"Well where do I begin. Reckon I could tell you about his family and upbring'uns." The dwarf takes a long pull from his mug and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand.

"His grandpappy was High Cleric under da High King before da great war wit dem damn orcs 'n gobby's." the dwarf hocks and spits on the ground. "His grandpappy be a war hero. Saved untold lives and gave his own life so his wife and children could escape da horde before da hold fell." The dwarf gives a sign to Mordrion in honor of the memory and pours some ale on the ground mumbling something under his breath. Taking the rest of the ale down in a long pull he slams his mug down and yells for the bar wench for a refill. After he gets his ale he starts again into his story.

"Well his pappy didn't follow in his grandpappy's boots. He took to the anvil and was a decent armor maker. Think he be still in dat mountain up in Nigal still pump'n out armor for da clan. Dey be say'n dat he has blood from da old kings on his mums side, but since dey made a new line after da war, it dont be matter nuthin. But if ye be want'n to get his feathers in a russel, just bring it up idle talk." The dwarf chuckles to himself. "Many a fights were broken up by do'n dat. Jaenus's holy dan now goes right out da shaft too, but he be better at regain'n his composure.

"Dat boy be to forgive'n n jolly to a proper dwarf!" He takes a pull from his mug to hide his smile, but continues to smile after he puts the mug down. "Dat boy mis'd his call'n to be da first dwarf bard in ages. He could charm da last gold coin from a mizer dwarf and a kiss from queen in front of the king himself." The dwarf gets a stern look on his face and continues "But dat boy be a kluzt! His pappy gave him a hammer fer his birfday and him's went and broke it over hims pappy's anvil on da first swing!" The dwarf laughs and slaps his thigh "You should have seen hims pappy face after dat hammer's head smack'd him in him's head. But dat boy just smiled and touch'd da wound and it went away like it never happen'd"

The dwarf gets a longing look and drains the rest of his mug. "Jaenus be good dwarf, but bad luck and gud luck. Him's nearly drown'd when him's was liddle lad, but he found out him's was bless'd wit da touch of Mordrion. Gud thing too since he barely has da nose fer mine'n eidder like him's brudder's or skill with metal like him's pappy. But him's have sum skill wit da axe n board. An dat dur fool likes to rush into combat so him's can be close to da front liners to heal n help down'n da baddies."

The dwarf looks down into his mug as his swirls whats left at the bottom "It be not right what dey did to him's. Sure him's be a nancy boy when him's get near water deeper than a pot and him's can trip on a flat rock, but you can't not like da boy once you meet him's. Him's gud n tuff in a fight, but couldn't dance a step if his mum's life were on da line. Not dat any respectable dorf wud!"

The dwarf puts the mug down and gets up to leave. "If you see dat boy Jaenus, him's would be an asset to any adventure'n party. Also tell hims dat (insert dwarf NPC name here) sent you and I be see'n him's soon. Think I'm dun drink'n tonight. Gunna go sleep dis ale off." as the dwarf turns and walks up the stairs to the rooms upstairs.
