  1. We believe that Vilden should be unbanned because
  2.
  3. 1) He is a large contributor to the site
  4.
  5. 2) Others have been let off with leashes after doing more harsh things while also not being properly warned to leave Vilden alone, yet went unpunished
  6.
  7. 3) He will evade regardless, therefore deserves a clean slate where he will behave due to a new start
  8.
  9.
  10. Reason 1: He has won multiple trophies in a legitimate manner, moderated the website for a while(quality volunteer work is slim nowadays) and was incredibly helpful while doing so. After leaving as a moderator, he would STILL contribute to the forums with pastebins on cheaters(multiple), lists of possible banned users, theories about certain things (i.e: suicide script) that mostly all turned out to be correct. He was one of the few active competitive players who would take games very seriously and encourage others to do the exact same. Along with being a voice during cheating investigations, vilden has created a vast amount of comedic content on the forums. Therefore, he has much to give to the site as compared to other banned users who purely come around without any help or contribution to give, only going further down into the darker places of EM like hacking, OPI, etc. For the well being of the site, good competitive players must exist, otherwise golden hearts and trophies will lose their special-factor and the site will go down the drain, Vilden is one of these players that will keep competitive going.

  12. Reason 2: Given that the site moderators are regular users that build friendships, there are times that other people are excused when it's not necessarily something they've earned. This can be said for many people, whether it's because they are well liked, funny, create a big complaint thread or whatever gets people on their side. Therefore, for somebody like Vilden who does have a lot to give to the site (also creates videos for EM, which takes literal hours) he should be pardoned in the same way that others have. Blister, for instance, is one of the people who has been given a leash even though he breaks them often because his abilities to appeal with emotions and make others laugh is very powerful. Pottedstuff too. These people have contributed less than Vilden and still are given chances. While he may definitely get baited into things often or even start trouble himself, I believe that people who have been harassed by him have also went out of their way to push him to the limit. Doing things to make him upset, all while preserving their own leashes (i.e: Dyl, egging Vilden on publicly by posting on Krystals account yet seeing no punishment, then Jeffrey joining in) therefore if they aren't told to back off just as much as he is, there is no way that it can work out. So in hindsight, "Vilden, leave Dyl alone" that only works until they have to socialize with one another due to the site being small, then Dyl will get upset for one reason or another and decide he wants to be passive aggressive with Vilden. I believe both of them are guilty, yet only one was punished because the harassment of Vilden was spread out between three people instead of one heated argument between two users ONLY. Typically, if you dislike someone immensely, you assume that if you're told to leave them alone that they'll do the same to you and that you will both bite your tongue. Neither have done that as shown in the recent past, yet only one has went punished and I believe that is truly unfair to someone who was only UPSET and trying to feel right in a situation where they've been wronged. This is likely also why he evades openly as himself, because he truly does not believe that he should be punished for what he did while others have not. People have literally faked their death on this website and have managed to be forgiven, yet a rule that has been less harsh as of recently is now holding back a good and useful user from returning. Vilden has not asked users to delete reports for him either, Blister has done that. Where is the justice?
  13.
  14. Reason 3: Considering that he has proved in the past that he can behave like a regular user, pushing him to the side will only be detrimental to the site. A budding ABC-twin is not what we want to create, who has felt they've been wronged by the moderators. Keeping Vilden site banned when we are aware that he evades constantly would just be bad for us because that's more effort put forth for someone who, most likely, would NOT have gotten HC or harassment now that the rules have loosened up a bit now these days. If they were all modded from the beginning again today I doubt he'd have reached the limit at all, thus making the "leashes" not even really necessary. The question to readers here would be: Do we really want to infinitely ban someone because we cannot pardon them once again, then end in a cycle where the user cannot bother to stay off the site, so they always end up evading + openly breaking the rules because "they'll never get unbanned anyway"? It doesn't work that way for most users, he's not necessarily hiding, he's putting himself out in the open unlike others who have been site banned and just cheat for trophies, then out themselves. Weareking has recently been unbanned and he's challenged himself in the past to troll the moderators by cheating for trophies, throwing games, basically making fools out of us, however he has reformed now and is free, yet someone who is openly being themselves and NOT attempting to drag down the round which we spend hours investigating every 10 days is not being pardoned, that to me is unfair. I am 100% sure that Vilden is above EVER becoming the type of person who will graduate to OPI, GTing & more - therefore going to war with him over this is just silly, and yet others have been freed after doing much, much worse.
