  1. A traditional rpg like kotor1&2, not an mmo.
  2. Multiple planets.
  3. Being a Jedi completely optional, and not being a jedi is viable.
  4. A crew you assemble, with their own stories and motives, not all of them compatible with each other.
  5. Lots of attachments and customization for guns and lightsabers and melee.
  6. Same for armor and robes and clothing.
  7. Big cities with lots of characters and dark rain and neon nights like Nar Shadaa, but then contrasted with Dantooine and the like, the kotors did this well but improve it with modern technology and fidelity.
  8. Lots of content for being a random spacer, a bounty hunter, a jedi, a soldier, etc, basically have lots of "careers" available so your characters can be very different each playthrough.
  9. Lots of waifus and husbandos.
  10. Lots of different types of gameplay can be fun, gameplay like Fallen Order is fine or gameplay like kotor is fine, or like a fallout4/skyrim style game, or something new to star wars like an isometric crpg would be fine too, as long as it has depth in character progression and customization.
  11. Squadrons as the ship flying portion when you travel in your ship, and you can take missions from local planets to defend agaisnt pirates and stuff.
  12. The plot isn't about jedi again. kotor1, 2, swtor, jedi academy, jedi outcast, and Fallen Order, the antagonists are always Sith trying to kill everyone. Have a crime lord like Xixor or maybe the Vong, or one of the Remnant imperial admirals, or something as the antagonists to mix it up a bit. Squadrons did this but of course since it's a military game.
  13. Era doesn't really matter. It looks like they're making a "high republic" era game, old republic is fine, prequel is fine, OT is fine. Even the sequel trilogy era is fine as long as it's a good story.
  14. A focus on reactivity. The world and then eventually the system and then eventually the galaxy if the plot demands should react to what you do. People should notice dark side corruption. If you kill people, you get a bad reputation and that carries with you to new planets, as long as those planets communicate. It should be realistic. Your companions leave or approve of various actions. Your reputation may precede you, for good or bad.
