[14:25] <@TenMihara|GM>  When last we left our group of wastelanders, they had gotten away from Luna's School and Keen had even managed to lay some of his demons of the past to rest. However, they had a run in with some Timberwolves and a Manticore that, although fairly easily dispatched, may not be over yet...
[14:25] <@TenMihara|GM>  As Primer awakens in the morning, she finds herself laying in a puddle
[14:26] * Primer blinks. Puddle? Did a river burst its banks? Naah that's silly... Primer opens her eyes and shifts her weight. "What the heck?"
[14:27] <@TenMihara|GM>  The first thing Primer sees upon opening her eyes is Fire_Lily, who is completely drenched.
[14:27] * Primer can't brain this early in the morning. "Lily?"
[14:29] * Fridge is now known as Keen
[14:34] * Fire_Lily is pretty dazed and confused as well. "What's going on...?" She feels cold and wet, and has no idea why.
[14:34] * Keen was dreaming about the kids again. But this time, it was alright. And for once, he didn't want to wake up. It was too nice inside his skull for a change, but, well, nothing good lasts forever. "Mmph?" He said, sputtering into life yet again, kicking slightly with his foreleg. "Primer, sweetie, what is it?" He slurred together, still half-dreaming.
[14:35] * Primer nudges Fire_Lily and fights past sleepiness. "What..." Primer fights her way to a sitting position.
[14:37] * Fire_Lily shivers a little. Being sodden from head to hooves isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. At least, not when you weren't expecting it.
[14:38] * Wraith` has kept his vigil throughout the night. Not as tedious or boring as most others, thanks to having another sleepless ghoul to speak to. Having his attention more to the perimeter of their camp, the old mummified soldier turns his head towards his companions once he hears them rousing. "Rise and shine maggots." the grizzled and gravelled stallion speaks, as he trots towards
[14:38] * Wraith` them slowly... what was... wrong with Lily? Blinking at her and squinting to attempt his vision... he notes that the filly looked... wet? He didn't recall it raining at all. "Is... she alright?"
[14:38] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova looks at Lily; "Uh oh."
[14:40] * Primer starts examining Fire_Lily, setting the filly up on her rump and patting her. "Feeling alright? Is everything still there?"
[14:42] <@TenMihara|GM>  Fire_Lily is drenched from head to tail. The water doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere, but she's dripping with it
[14:42] * Wraith` looks over between Primer and Fire_Lily, cocking his head as he studies the soaking filly. Was she sick? Something was nagging on his addled and old mind... something he was told last night, but he can't seem to recall exactly as to what... Urrghh frustrating! He swear he knew something important, but it was /just/ eluding him!
[14:43] * Keen 's eyes immediately snap open with a slight pop. Somepony said "Uh oh". Nothing good /ever/ comes from somepony saying "Uh oh". It means his life is going to get interesting. There's a reason that "Live an interesting life" is such a popular Zebrican curse. As he got up, he pulled out his rifle and quickly got to his hooves. "I'm up! I'm up! What's wrong!"
[14:44] * Fire_Lily has to try and think and figure out if she feels alright. She lifts each of her hooves, looking at them, and examines her tail while she flicks it. "I don't feel anything... Just wet."
[14:44] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova approaches Fire_Lily; "That one wolf with the blue ivy touched you, didn't it?"
[14:44] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina remains under her cloak for the time being, but observes Lily and nods to herself about the effects. However, she was still a little wary about Nova.
[14:45] * Primer lifts Firelily up into the air experimentally to see if the water would drain away.
[14:45] <@TenMihara|GM>  The water drips from Fire_Lily, but she doesn't seem to get any less wet.
[14:46] * Fire_Lily eeps in surprise as she's lifted into the air. She gives Nova an odd look. "I don't... know? One of them jumped on me... but I was too busy trying to get it off to notice..."
[14:48] * Wraith` is hit hard with a moment of realization when Nova spoke of blue ivy... What Karina told him last night! Going to turn to the zebra mare he speaks out at first, "Hey Kar--" but stops when he can't see her. Damned invisiblity. With a small grunt he continues, looking more about, "Didn't you say that the wolf had something on it? And not to touch it? Cause weird shit would
[14:48] * Wraith` happen?"
[14:48] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova nods; "It would appear that you have been afflicted with poison joke. It probably thought this would be funny."
[14:49] * Fire_Lily frowns. She's doesn't really find it funny. Just cold and uncomfortable.
[14:49] * Keen felt the fur on his withers stand up on end and his body sieze up for the briefest moment as he thought that she had to give Lily "The Talk". He almost gave a sigh of relief when it wasn't the case. He just sat there as the water dripped perpetually onto the ground, more fascinated than horrified. She was a perpetual fountain of water. What the heck? "Um. Wow. I have no words for this." Um....
[14:49] * Keen ...Right. Education, what do you have to say about excessive sweating like this? That she should've been a dehydrated husk by now? Fantastic, I'm glad we had this talk. "Um. What do we do?"
[14:49] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina nods and whispers to Wraith`; "Poison Joke, as I thought. Overnight its effects were wrought."
[14:52] * Wraith` doesn't look like he's laughing or going to do so anytime soon. With the advent of rogue bands of raping murderous thugs, all sorts of hideously mutated creatures that were anything but cuddly and safe, the ghoul only suspects the worst from this... 'Poison Joke', as he asks in a fairly concerned, but stoic voice, "Is this shit serious? We need to take her to a doctor
[14:52] * Wraith` a.s.a.p. or somethin?"
[14:54] * Primer shakes her head and sets Fire_Lily back down with a wet squelch.
[14:54] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina shakes her head; "This was not killing joke, so the effects are like poison oak. Instead of breeding wrath, it just wants a laugh. The effects will not be acute, and my knowledge of the cure is most astutue."
[14:56] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova looks Fire_Lily over; "Well, poison joke isn't lethal, although I can't say she won't catch a cold being drenched like that. We should try to keep her as warm and dry as possible until we can find somepony to whip up a remedy."
[14:56] * Keen pans his vision over to Wraith, deciding not to acknowledge Wraith's probably insult. "To put it in blunt terms, it tends to be slightly more severe on the totem pole of medical urgency as influenza. She will get better eventually, but she's probably going to want the cure before then for the discomfort."
[14:57] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina shakes her head again; "As far as I am aware, the effects do not fade. If she is to get better, the cure must be made."
[14:58] * Fire_Lily shivers again. She wants to get better.
[14:58] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova looks to Keen, then the rest of the group; "Does anypony have a blanket or a towel?"
[14:59] * Wraith` listens to each that speaks of the ailment and turns his attention to the dripping filly, shifting his tongue in what remains of his rotted jaw as he lets a quiet grumbling in thought, "Alright... yeah we need to... I dunno... dry her off or something." he then shakes his head at Nova's question, "Only my wraps... but I don't think she wants to touch those."
[14:59] * Keen has an odd thought go through his head of whether or not the water would be considered safe to drink. Would definitely cut down on the price of pure water. Keen, upon hearing Nova, feels like a freaking superhero as he pulls out his Saddle Arabian towel. "Never fear! I have one of the finest towels left in existence!"
[15:00] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova just blinks at Keen; "Um... okay then."
[15:02] * Keen looks to his left and right, slightly embarrassed of his outburst. "Um. Sorry. It's just that I never thought that I would be able to actually /use/ this. I just, you know, tend to feel more comfortable having some basic toiletries since there's no home to go back to."
[15:03] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova blinks; "That's... actually a pretty good idea. I suppose you never know when something might come in handy."
[15:03] * Keen clenches his eyes together, trying to suppress that memory. "Hoofy." He corrected.
[15:05] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova just looks confused
[15:06] * Wraith` just rolls his eyes and shakes his head to Keen's sillyness. Looking about in the... very hostile landscape they were still very much in, he speaks once more, "Good, use your fancy towel and let's get a move on." trotting over to Karina and adopting more his... commanding tone again... the stallion asks, "Kar, you know how to fix Lily's condition? You got the supplies?"
[15:08] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina nods; "I could fashion the remedy with much haste, but the application is not a gel or paste. To use this cure and end the laugh, Lily will need to take a bath."
[15:08] * Primer chuckles and nuzzles Keen before taking the towel and wrapping it around Fire_Lily. "Better?"
[15:09] <@TenMihara|GM>  The Towel starts to soak up the moisture, but Lily continues to remain wet.
[15:10] * Fire_Lily doesn't really feel too much more comfortable, but at least she's a bit less cold, for now. "A little... I guess."
[15:11] * Primer sighs with a wan smile. "You kinda look like a drowned kitty right now." She gives Fire_Lily a nuzzle.
[15:11] * Arcane_Sleeping[A] is now known as Arcane_Scroll
[15:12] * Keen likes it when Primer nuzzles him. It makes him feel loved. There was a shortage of that, he mused. "This is probably going to come off as sounding insensitive, but do you think the water coming from her is edible?" It looked clean, at least.
[15:13] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova actually snickers at that
[15:14] * Fire_Lily nuzzles Primer back, and gives Keen a strange look. "That's weird. Why would you... want to do that?"
[15:14] * Wraith` blinks and asks, "A bath?" eyeing the zebra mare for a second, he tilts his bandaged head as he shifts his weight, "I hope that place of yours got a working tub." now focusing his milky gaze to the rest, "Pack it up and pack it in. I want to be Octavia Mellow, pronto." the stallion begins to check his gear then stops and looks at Keen... questionably.
[15:15] * Keen feels weird as everyone began to stare at him. "Well, think about it. Lily, you're not getting dehydrated or anything. You're an infinite fountain of potentially clean water. Do you know how much that can do for ponies?"
[15:15] * Primer gives Keen an odd look before getting up and shaking off some of the moisture she soaked up during the night.
[15:16] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina facehoofs invisibly.
[15:16] * Wraith` glowers at the pegasus stallion and replies, "If I'm thinking what /you're/ thinking, I'm gonna smack you Keen."
[15:19] * Keen stares at Wraith. "What am I thinking? That was the end of the thought. There was no addendum. Okay, yeah, maybe I could do some research on her, um, secretion to see if it has any notable impurities, but that was the end of the thought."
[15:21] * Fire_Lily can't help but already feel violated.
[15:22] * Primer hugs Fire_Lily protectivly and glares at Keen... now, why had she nuzzled him?
[15:22] * Wraith` hardens his glower and says sternly, "No Keen. She's a filly, not a water talisman. She's a potential target as it is for shitheads."
[15:22] <@TenMihara|GM>  Primer gets wet
[15:22] <@Wraith`> Oh baby.
[15:23] * Primer glares at the eye in the sky too for making that sound so dirty.
[15:24] <@TenMihara|GM>  There is no eye in the sky Primer. You're crazy. Go back to doing whatever it was you were doing before
[15:24] * Keen backs up defensively. "I didn't mean that we should- I mean, no! That's horrible! I just meant that we could probably..." He sighed. "Whatever. Let's get a move on, shall we?"
[15:25] * Primer harumps and helps Fire_Lily wring out her bedroll and tidy up the campsite.
[15:28] * Wraith` wonders what Primer is looking for. Then finishes readying for the trip ahead. Trotting by Keen, he thumps the stallion on the head with a hoof only hard enough to solicit some pain... not hurt the buck or even leave any marks... well he might still bruise regardless. "That's for thinking of Lily as some kind of fucking science project."
[15:28] <@Wraith`> (not SERIOUSLY* hurt the buck... shuddap)
[15:29] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina gives a muffled laugh from underneath the cloak. Keen deserved that.
[15:29] * Fire_Lily drips while she gets ready to leave. After a moment, she nudges Primer, looking concerned. "Do you think... you could carry my things? I don't want to get my books wet..."
[15:30] * Primer smiles and nuzzles Fire_Lily again. "Sure, no problem." At least her mechanical muscles cant actually tire... her back might complain after a while though.
[15:31] <@TenMihara|GM>  Primer will be fine; Lily's gear weighs next to nothing compared to her saddle
[15:36] * Keen winces, then grumbles. "Just thinking..." He said, half defensively, half ashamed.
[15:37] * Wraith` proceeds to resume once the group is ready. Their journey homeward bound.
[15:40] * Fire_Lily drips while she finishes getting ready to go.
[15:41] <@TenMihara|GM>  The group is still four days travel from Manehattan, but at least as they travel Fire_Lily doesn't seem to get any worse. She's cold and damp, but doesn't show any other signs of fatigue or illness
[15:43] * Primer helps Fire_Lily along, making sure she doesn't slip on the rocks and in general giving moral support.
[15:45] * Fire_Lily feels quite uncomfortable with this whole being soaked thing. Despite the towel, she's once more cold, and the towel is almost as wet as she is after not very long.
[15:49] * Primer helps Lily by periodically wringing the towel out.
[15:51] * Fire_Lily is shivering quite a bit.
[15:51] * Keen tries to apologize to Fire_Lily and Primer. It probably doesn't go anywhere.

[15:57] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina double checks her parents notebook to make sure she still has the poison joke remedy available.
[15:58] * Wraith` Keeps a lookout for any signs of danger as they travel. No songs to sing or tunes to hum as his mood is rather melancholly. The thought of having to cull those mindless ghoul foals... their fates... his nightmare.
[15:59] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova trots up next to Wraith`; "You seem distant. Is something wrong?"
[16:00] * Wraith` replies simply without even looking to the hard to kill ghoullette, "I'm fine." as he continues to trek.
[16:00] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova sighs; "I doubt that. Not if you're anything like me."
[16:01] * Wraith` turns to look at Nova, with an inquisitive rotted brow raise.
[16:03] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova sighs; "I'm hoping to find something new to commit myself to, but... nothing will change what happened at my school. And what I couldn't manage."
[16:07] * Wraith` looks to the undead mare for a moment before replying to her in a solemn fashion, "Your right. Nothing can change that. But you can bring something to the wasteland that it doesn't have much of."
[16:08] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova loosk to Wraith`; "Surely there is something you can bring as well then."
[16:10] * Wraith` snorts and looks away replying with a tone of bitterness, "I can and have been for over a century. Cept what I can bring it's got plenty of already. But y'know it ain't what I can bring that makes me think about my worth."
[16:11] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova looks curious now; "What is it then?"
[16:11] * Wraith` answers back, "It's what I bring it for."
[16:12] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova nods; "Go on."
[16:13] <@TenMihara|GM>  Primer and Fire_Lily can see off in the distance what looks like an old farmstead.
[16:14] * Primer calls out to the others. "Old farm ahead."
[16:15] <@TenMihara|GM>  Twerp, Karina and Nova are oblivious until Primer draws their attention to it.
[16:15] * Fire_Lily looks toward it, trying to see if she can see anything from this distance.
[16:16] * Wraith` lets out a small sigh as he speaks further, "Until I met this bunch of misfits, I lost what to fight for. I pretty much wrote off everypony as a bunch of self-serving bigotted fucks that weren't fightin for anymore. So I decided to fight for myself. Ghouls don't get much respect or love, but money can getcha shit. So... I started doing what I know to do best..." stopping
[16:16] * Wraith` his speech once he hears Primer speak, he stops and looks over at the group, "And? Y'all gettin winded already?"
[16:16] <@TenMihara|GM>  The farmhouse looks to be unoccupied. There are no lights or smoke from a fire or sounds of life. There is however, an old well out behind the farmhouse
[16:23] <@TenMihara|GM>  Nova looks to Wraith`; "Perhaps she meant to stop in briefly to look for supplies. Are you short on anything?"
[16:24] * Fire_Lily glances between the farmhouse in the distance and Primer. "I don't think there's anyone there..."
[16:25] * Primer looks at the others. "Can be worth a quick look."
[16:26] * Keen flutters up and starts heading in that direction. "I'll try to take a peek from above. Maybe there's a hole or a window I can check to make sure it's safe."
[16:26] <@TenMihara|GM>  Twerp seems curious about the well. He looks to Keen and nods; "I'll stay below. Can't fly anymore."
[16:30] * Fire_Lily sticks with Primer, while Keen goes to check.
[16:30] * Wraith` looks at the group for a moment, then turns to Nova, taking in her words. Well... it could /still/ be dangerous, but it wasn't a huge skyscrapper to scavenge and get lost in. Nodding slowly with some resignation the ancient military pony replies, "Alright... We'll look for supplies, but don't let your guard down. And stay in at least pairs. Primer, stick with Fire_Lily.
[16:30] * Wraith` Keen, you and Nova are a pair, Me and Karina will be together incase we have to seperate."
[16:31] <@TenMihara|GM>  Twerp is chopped liver apparently
[16:31] * Keen 's already heading on up. Still hasn't quite shaken that old habit of acting first, thinking while acting.
[16:32] * Wraith` looks at Twerp and blinks and says, "Twerp... stick with Primer. Just... go away from me."
[16:33] <@TenMihara|GM>  Twerp follows after Keen and Nova follows in turn after hearing Wraith` instruct her. Keen sees something glint at the bottom of the well as he flies over it. As well, from his aerial view, he can see that on the other side of the farmhouse is a very bizarre looking crashed skywagon of some sort. At least it looks like a Skywagon. Vaguely.
[16:33] * Primer follows the group to the outskirts of the farmyard, where she and Fire_Lily and Twerp can keep watch on the surrounding wastes.
[16:34] * Fire_Lily is pretty bad at keeping watch, but she tries.
[16:36] * Arcane_Scroll is now known as Arcane_Scroll[A]
[16:36] * Wraith` shakes his head at the changeling ignoring his words. Whatever, he really didn't give a shit for the annoying bug thing. Snorting to himself, the ghoul stallion takes out his fire axe and rests the shaft on his left shoulder, as he carries it in his left fetlock, trotting on his other three legs to the farmhouse.
[16:37] * Keen does a flyover in a large circle over the barnhouse and well, then comes back to the others. "There's something in the well. Something shining down at the bottom. There's also a rather... Strange construction on the opposite side of the farmhouse. It, um. It /kinda/ looks like a skywagon. Maybe a little, if you squint."
[16:40] * Wraith` goes around the building to get a better look at this strange construction slash kind-of skywagon thing that Keen was speaking of.
[16:40] * Primer wrings Fire_Lily's towel semi-dry for her.
[16:41] <@TenMihara|GM>  The crashed 'skywagon' is about a half-mile off, and difficult to see form the ground.
[16:41] <@TenMihara|GM>  Twerp investigates the well. by poking at it curiously, then sniffing at it, then walkign around it in a circle.
[16:43] * Keen goes to nuzzle Primer and Lily, but then realizes they probably still hate his guts. Funny how you have that effect on ponies. He goes to investigate the well, and specifically, the shining thing underneath. He looks for a rope, maybe a bucket, something to lower down and get it.
[16:43] * Wraith` hmphs. Looking to team discovery channel, he speaks to the Pegasus stallion and ghoul princpal / bug moron, "Check that wagon out. Find any trouble you head to this house immediately." turning to the ambigously cute duo, he speaks to Primer, "Let's check out the farmhouse itself, we'll split up if we need to inside."
[16:44] <@TenMihara|GM>  There's an old bucket and rope next to the well
[16:44] * Primer takes offence at being automatically lumped as cute... :I
[16:44] * Fire_Lily thanks Primer for helping with the towel, then nods to Wraith.
[16:44] * Primer shrugs and follows Wraith` inside the farmhouse.
[16:46] <@TenMihara|GM>  Inside the farmhouse, they find a moderately comfortable looking old residence, although everything is at least lightly singed. Some things mroe heavily than others.
[16:46] * Wraith` observes the fire damage then checks for secret doors! Just kidding, actually he wants to survey the damage of the building itself... making sure the roof wouldn't collapse on the group inside.
[16:47] * Keen grumbles and takes the rope and bucket. "Since you asked so politely, I'll get on that as soon as I can. In the meantime, I'm going to try to get this thing in the well." He ties the rope to the handle of the bucket and tries to finesse the... Thing into the bucket. Who knows? Maybe it's somebody's keys, or an empty bottle of Sparkle Cola?
[16:47] <@TenMihara|GM>  There is a simple setup with a living room, hallway closet, stairway leading to upstairs and a kitchen.
[16:48] <@TenMihara|GM>  Keen actually manages to sift the silt and bring up the contents of the bottom of the well. It's... an old BB Gun. A Red-Rider Lever Action Air Rifle, and a small tin presumably containing the BBs.
[16:50] * Keen blinkblinks. It's a BB gun. Why was a BB gun at the bottom of a well? He didn't like the implication of a children's toy lying at the bottom of a well lead to. "... Hey, Lily. I found something for you!" He called out, trying to shake that thought out of his head.
[16:52] * Primer begins rooting around for anything useful to take along.
[16:52] * Fire_Lily looks back toward Keen, curiously. "Uh... what?" she calls back.
[16:53] <@TenMihara|GM>  Inscribed on the stock of the BB Gun is one word. 'Timmy'
[16:53] * Arcane_Scroll[A] is now known as Arcane_Scroll
[16:54] * Keen give a shifty look at the stock. What kind of name is Timmy? Was it short for Timber? Was this timber's air rifle? Why did- okay, this had to stop. "Um. Here. It's an air rifle I found at the bottom of the well. I, uh. I thought you might like it." He gave her a weak smile and presented his peace offering.
[16:55] * Wraith` motions for Karina to do her zeeb thang and aid him in making sure the second floor was secure, whispering to Primer, "Keep your eyes peeled." as he goes up the staircase, looking more for threats or dangers. Then for goods.
[16:55] * Primer nods at Wraith` and then continues to loot.
[16:57] * Fire_Lily gives Keen a very odd look. She clearly has no idea what to think of it. She also wonders why Keen would give her something like that.
[16:57] <@TenMihara|GM>  Karina sleuths about the house.
[17:00] <@TenMihara|GM>  Primer finds a wall safe behind a shifted bookcase in the master bedroom
[17:02] * Primer thinks for a bit, then goes and fetches Fire_Lily.
[17:04] * Keen blinks. "I, uh.
[17:04] <+Keen> "I thought you might like it."
[17:05] <@TenMihara|GM>  Throughout the rest of the house, the party finds Six Pre-War Food, Eight Dirty Water, Seventeen Bottle caps, a book titled 'Principles of Proper Pony Speech', and a locked medical box in the downstairs bathroom
[17:06] * Fire_Lily blinks and keeps giving Keen a strange look. "...Why?"
[17:07] * Keen blinks. "You, uh. You don't want it?"
[17:07] * Primer walks up behind Fire_Lily and then bumps her rump with a hoof. "Got a few locked boxes for you when you have the time."

[17:10] * Fire_Lily looks back at Primer, and nods. She turns back to Keen. "I uh... It's not my kind of thing..." She tries to be as polite as she can as she leaves to follow Primer.
