+st0rmforce __ I have a question for you and I think you are able to answer it. First let me set it up (I apologise if this runs a bit long - I want to be sure I have worded it accurately):

What you have described *could be* an elaborate magic trick. I'm not saying that it is. I am not asking you to agree that it is. I am only saying that it COULD be a magic trick.

The magic trick would start with a spectacular launch (a kind of huge fireworks) followed by some zero gravity interviews.

So let us first agree on a few things:

Can we agree that everything we see - from the alleged "launch" to the alleged "zero gravity interviews" *could* be fake?

Nothing we see means it is necessarily real. If "they" wanted then "they" could fake it.

*To put it another way: if they have the means to do it for real then surely they have the means to fake it.*

_So with that in mind let me continue to set up the question._

No one disputes that something gets launched. What is disputed is whether or not there are little men and women inside of it.

No one disputes that there are "zero gravity interviews". What is disputed is that they are conducted while aboard the alleged "ISS".

Let us agree that although it might seem like a phenomenal waste - *it is possible to launch a rocket that goes nowhere.*

And let us agree that if you saw any of the alleged "ISS interviews" in a movie you would not be impressed.

That is to say - it is POSSIBLE that it COULD all be faked.

If it is possible to do it for real (as you believe) then surely it is possible to fake it (as I believe).

I'm NOT asking you to agree that it IS fake - only that it is POSSIBLE to fake it!

There is nothing we see that couldn't be done in a modern movie making studio.

*Okay, so having said all of this - on to my question for you.*

Suppose I have something to show you that pretty much means it is fake. Suppose I have sifted through their footage and found an anomaly that just can't be explained. That the obvious answer is that of course it's fake.

Now imagine that's the situation. I don't think you're going to accept what has been pointed out. I think you will still deny it and here is how I think you will deny it:

In a nutshell (I will rewrite it in a moment):

You will reason to yourself that you are more confident that the "government" which has you believe there is a manned "ISS" is not lying MORE than you are confident I have really found something that proves it to be fake.

That is to say: you trust that the government which has assisted in your birth; kept you alive; fed you; clothed you; kept you safe and educated you - you trust that the "government" which has looked after you and your family and your friends and your colleagues would NOT lie to you about this.

Would that be fair to say?

That SURE it COULD be faked if "they" wanted. After all - to be able to do the real thing means also being able to fake it. But to fake it would mean the "government" is lying to you.

And you don't accept that the "government" would. I mean - why would it?! It has fed you, clothed you, kept you safe and educated you. It has given you employment opportunities. The "government" has no need or interest in lying to you about this.

So is that fair to say?

That what this really comes down to is TRUST. You simply trust that the "entity" that is supporting you and giving you opportunities would not lie about this (even though it could).

Although we have jabbed at each other from time to time - I think that you are able to give an honest answer on this. Can you please write a few words about this.

Even if you were shown something that basically "proved" the "ISS" to be fake - you would be inclined to reserve judgment because it would mean that the "entity" that has been on your side since birth would be doing something very incongruous with your beliefs about it.

I think I've worded this satisfactorily. I look forward to what you have to say about it.
