Jenn Lowry: Right. First question, 'Do you think that you would improve your behaviour day-to-day if you were promised better food such as MS-26 as a reward?'
** Jake Morgan Shurgs "As long as I got enough of it."
Jenn Lowry: Enough of it. Right. Suppose that there was a limited quantity. To what ends would you go to to ensure that you received your due amount? Would you snitch on a neighbor?
** Jenn Lowry looks at Savannah, 'Feel free to give your own opinion, too.'
** Jake Morgan Nods slowly "Yea I guess."
Jenn Lowry: So, do you think that the populations' general loyalty is contingent on their quality of life? Do you think that there would be less anticitizen activity if the population was provided with luxury rewards for good behaviour?
** Savannah Carter squints lightly at Jenn, setting the spoon into the second can.
** Jenn Lowry flicks her attention to Savannah for a split second, then back to Jake.
** Jake Morgan Nods "Yea I guess as long as people feel specail and like there making a differnce."
Jenn Lowry: You're both making a difference today. You both deserve those cans.
Jenn Lowry: But I digress a little... This next question is for you, miss.
** Savannah Carter looks down slightly, as if to look at the cans. Instead, however, she spares a glance at Jenn's hands, just over the cans. "Yeah?"
Savannah Carter: It uh-...
(Jenn Lowry) ** Though each can was fairly hefty, with two enough to make either citizen a little uncomfortable under normal circumstances, the craving persists and seems to draw attention away from the fullness. It's a strange, paradoxical sensation, though as time goes on the cravings get more and more powerful... **
** Jenn Lowry scratches something short down, then looks up, waiting for an elaboration.
** Jenn Lowry begins to slowly turn to Jake, eyebrow raising - as though prepared to pass the question off to him.
Savannah Carter: I am currently satisfied with my employment situation, although I was not satisfied with my, er- pre-war occupation.
** Jake Morgan Looks to jenn "You said once I answer the questions I get more cans, So uh, Wheres the cans?"
Savannah Carter: The Union has given more to me than-
** Jenn Lowry holds a finger up to hush Jake.
Jenn Lowry: Go on.
Savannah Carter: ...The Union has provided me with a lot.
Jenn Lowry: What's the difference between working for a reward, and working for satisfaction? Does satisfaction not produce good feelings? Is that not like a reward from the body? The endorphins, the dopamine...
Savannah Carter: Well- the effort.
Jenn Lowry: When you feel satisfied with something, it feels good, doesn't it?
Savannah Carter: Yes, it does.
Jenn Lowry: So you work hard on things, in order to feel good. It's like a reward.
** Jenn Lowry looks between the two citizens, 'Would either of you like another can?'
(Jenn Lowry) ** The suggestion, like before, fills the two with an unbearable sense of anticipation and excitement. **
** Jake Morgan Fights the urge for more "Hell yeah!"
** Jenn Lowry nods at Jake, turns to Savannah.
** Savannah Carter spits out her answer rather fast. "Uh, I'm fulled. Filled. Thanks."
** Jenn Lowry waits, not saying anything.
Savannah Carter: I really need to uh-
Jenn Lowry: But you deserve it, don't you?
** Savannah Carter looks a lot better now. In fact, she seems paler than beore.
** Jenn Lowry lounges in her chair, legs crossed. Her clipboard rests against her thigh.
** Savannah Carter's legs are crunched up as close together as they can get, side by side
** Jake Morgan Leans over to Savannah whsipering "Ya allright?"
** Jenn Lowry gets to her feet without a word, and turns to the back of the room. She returns with two fresh cans, but refrains from passing them over.
Jenn Lowry: Are you two ready to proceed? We still have some more questions to answer.
** Jake Morgan Nods.
** Savannah Carter bows her head gravely. "Yes, minister."
Jenn Lowry: Do you two think that most people are generally good, and that anticitizen behaviour is only enticed by poor living conditions? Do you think that they would look past their moral issues with the Combine, if they were to be given a comfortable life for it?
** Jake Morgan Nods "Yea, But living conditions are great, So I dont see a problem there, I think the anti citizens just want to be differnt."
Jenn Lowry: They're great? Are you sure?
** Jenn Lowry gives Savannah a look, 'What do you think?'
** Jake Morgan Nods "Where i live is great!"
