  1. Claim Evil (Su): Once per day, a paladin can call out to the powers of good to protect her allies from evil. As a swift action, the paladin chooses one target within sight to Claim. If this target is evil, the paladin's allies (but not the paladin herself) add a sacred bonus to their AC and CMD equal to her Charisma bonus (if any) against attacks as well as saves against abilities made by a Claimed creature. A paladin in melee combat with a Claimed target may activate Counters in response to actions made by the Claimed creature targeting the paladin's allies as though they were targeting the paladin.
  2.
  3. In addition, while Claim evil is in effect, the paladin automatically knows the position of creatures she has Claimed. Any opponent the paladin cannot see has total concealment (50% miss chance) against her, and the paladin still has the normal miss chance when attacking foes that have concealment. The paladin is still denied her Dexterity bonus to Armor Class against attacks from Claimed creatures she cannot see. Additionally, Claimed creatures using the Withdraw action to leave a square threatened by the Paladin provoke attacks of opportunity from her. If the paladin targets a creature that is not evil, the Claim is wasted with no effect.
  4.
  5. The Claim evil effect remains until the Claimed target is dead or the next time the paladin rests and regains her uses of this ability. At 4th level, and at every three levels thereafter, the paladin may claim evil one additional time per day, as indicated on Table: Paladin, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level.
