Her Toadiness Tahquil & Eleusis

You're washed downstream, to the southwest, by the current.
Flowing river past the Raphaelan Highway.
The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. A kelp plant waves in the currents. A large, white tundra
wolf stands here, alert. An icewall is here, blocking passage to the south.  Yae Dawyn is here. Her
face is partially concealed beneath a raised hood. She wields a wyvern-etched druidic quarterstaff
in both hands.

Yae gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

You're carried downstream, to the south by the rushing current.

Yae Dawyn looks surprised and says, "That is a very unique shape."

Legs flailing about her rotound body, Tahquil tumbles over and over as she it swept
downstream before she bumps into an icewall and begins clinging to it frantically with little webby
feet.

Feeling a bit of pity, Yae reaches over and scoops you up from the water.

Tahquil stays silent in Yae's hand for a moment, her webbed feet clinging to her
fingers before she gives a small croak.

You follow Yae out to Lofty platform.

Yae drops you on the platform gently.

Yae Dawyn looks surprised and says to Ellodin, "I found a drowning toad."

Yae considers Ridlyn momentarily, before closing her eyes and reaching out to his forehead with her
quarterstaff.

Ridlyn raises his hand in greeting and says "Hi!"

Comprehension flashes across Ridlyn's face.

Sentinel Wolf Ridlyn says, "You're back here now."

Yae Dawyn laughingly says, "Yes."

Sentinel Wolf Ridlyn laughingly says, "Noticed you had gone wandering before."

Yae nods her head emphatically.

Yae Dawyn looks surprised and says, "I was looking around."

If a toad could look bedraggled, Tahquil would be. But instead she looks no more
bumpy, beaten or wet than a regular toad does. Maybe the only sign of her travels is the low stance
on the ground as she stares dully ahead.

Sentinel Wolf Ridlyn says to you, "Interesting look."

Sentinel Wolf Ridlyn says, "Same look got me level 82 just a few moments ago."

Sentinel Wolf Ridlyn says, "3 to go, and I can have a rest for a bit."

Yae flashes Ridlyn a joyous smile.

Sentinel Wolf Ridlyn says to Yae, "Thanks again!"

Yae nods her head emphatically.

Ridlyn leaves to the west.

Tahquil's gullet expands suddenly as she gives a tentative croak and falls silent
again.

Yae ponders you for a moment before giving you a ginger pat.

Yae Dawyn looks surprised and says, "I thought amphibians would be pretty good in the water."

Tahquil gives another croak before she sets into a steady rhythm of throaty rumbles.
 Turning awkwardly, she moves to follow Yae's fingers.

Yae Dawyn looks thoughtful and says, "Perhaps you are too out of energy to swim? I imagine flies and
other.. insects are tasty for you."

Raynor arrives from the west.

Scowling, Yae gives Raynor a proper kick to the shin.

Tahquil's slimy body visibly tenses as it huddles down on itself. Her amphibious
lips part slightly before she launches herself forward. A long sticky tongue shoots out, fastening
itself to a glitterlight butterfly.

Old Man Raynor Zabathan says, "Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."

Old Man Raynor Zabathan says, "Also; what's with the toad?"

Yae Dawyn looks surprised and says, "I saved her from drowning in the river."

Yae Dawyn says, "She was.."

Old Man Raynor Zabathan says, "You'd think a toad wouldn't have any trouble drowning."

Yae Dawyn says, "I thought so, too!"

Yae Dawyn says, "But she was rolling."

Iskinder enters from the northeast, a wyvern reflected in his eyes.

Yae Dawyn laughingly says, "Rolling and washed away down the Zaphar."

Yae raises her hand in greeting to Iskinder and says "Hi!"

A wry smile flits across Iskinder's lips.

Sentinel Cub Iskinder, of Eleusis says, "Hey there."

Yae Dawyn smiles and says to Iskinder, "How are you doing?"

Yae considers Iskinder momentarily, before closing her eyes and reaching out to his forehead with
her quarterstaff.

Tahquil pulls the stricken butterfly into her mouth, pawing at it with a webbed
foot as the thing flutters for its life.

Old Man Raynor Zabathan says, "You should tell her to learn how to perch on lilypads."

Raynor nods his head slowly, looking very wise.

Sentinel Cub Iskinder, of Eleusis says, "Pretty good. Spending more gold at your shop."

The corners of Iskinder's mouth turn up as he grins mischievously.

yourself."

Yae Dawyn looks surprised and says to Raynor, "My prices are fair."

Yae ponders the situation.

Yae Dawyn says, "Enough to remake all the money I spent to get the trade skills without robbing
every penny in people's pockets? Maybe?"

Iskinder ponders Raynor with a contemplative expression.

Tahquil's eyes close, sinking into her skull as she weathers the beating wings of
the butterfly against her face. The fine dust of scales sticks to her slimy skin, irritating it and
she realises the butterfly, leaving it to flap on the ground crippled as she begins to try and rub
the mess from her face.
