  1. >The sun started to dip below the horizon, and was quickly followed by the moon rising from the opposite end
  2. >Man, this was the biggest day you had since you died. You take a deep breath in and savour the evening air
  3. >Haha, no you don't. This fucking hick town smells like horse shit and hay.
  4. >Still, it could grow on you. Not in the moldy fungus disease type way, in a more heartwarming way
  5. >And probably a little in the disease type way, too.
  6. >Once you finish helping pack up the props (and pick up the cards you tossed everywhere), you're pretty tired
  7. >You look up to see Rainbow doing tricks to impress Scootaloo. From what you heard, she turned it into a stunt show instead of comedy
  8. >Well, the show must go on.
  9. >Applejack pats you on the back. "Well, if yer feeling alright, I gotta get home in time for dinner."
  10. >Fluttershy nods. "You've been very helpful in making me feel better! You too, Rarity!"
  11. >She stares off in to open space for a moment. 'And of course, you as well!'
  12. 'Well, when I'm not making spooky ghost noises, I try to be a little useful.'
  13. >No you don't. In fact, the amount you try to NOT be helpful would be funny if it weren't so sad.
  14. >But hell, you're glad it worked out anyways.
  15. >Rarity flipped her hair. "Well Fluttershy, you know you can always count on us if you need assistance."
  16. >"Oh, of course. You are all my very best friends, after all!"
  17. "I'm hungry. Do you know where the peanut brittle went? Aside from on the floor."
  18. >Applejack and Rarity both shrug. With your luck, Derpy took it.
  19. >Or Bonbon. Fat whore.
  20. >I don't care if your talent is making candy, you can't just gorge on it all the time.
  21. >You forget what you were thinking about.
  22. >'You were saying you're hungry!' Fluttershy helpfully reminded. 'Also, you shouldn't say those things about Bonbon!'
  23. "Don't try and subject me to thought-crime. Cis pig."
  24. >She scrunches her muzzle. Yes, it does feel as cute as it looks.
  25.
  26.
  27. >Eventually, you make it down the path to your house. Fluttershy goes through the motions, feeding each animal with grace
  28. >Now that she's not feeling rushed and bad about herself, you have time to appriciate her fluid movement
  29. >You feel a familiar heat rise to your cheeks, and she puts an extra spring in each step.
  30. >She starts to hum a song, and soon enough all the animals skitter off to their own small aboads.
  31. >"That's everyone!" She wipes her forehead, and walks into the home, lighting a candle and placing it on the dining table
  32. "So, Flaps, what we gon' eat?"
  33. >She tilts her head back, and places a hoof to her chin. "Oh! I have some noodles I can make!"
  34. >Before you can say much of anything, she's already going for it. But hey, you would've said yes.
  35. >And you like it when she gets assertive.
  36. >You had no idea how to cook, especially not with this medival magic stuff. She seems adept though
  37. >By the time it's ready, it smells quite nice, and you sit down, licking your lips
  38. >Her lips
  39. >You shake your head once to clear your thoughts, and pick up a fork. Apparently she's comfortable with you eating for her
  40. >Well, at least no one's watching this time.
  41. >You start to place it in the bowl, and look up at the candle.
  42. 'Hah, it's a real candlelight dinner. How romantic.'
  43. >She's quiet. Too quiet. Not disgusted or laughing, which means something's very wrong
  44. >'Or right' You hear back, not sure if it was your asshole subconscious or not
  45.
  46.
  47. >You try to shrug it off, but something keeps eating at the back of your mind.
  48. >You sit back and raise an eyebrow, but nothing happens.
  49. 'Is everything alright?'
  50. >She doesn't respond right away, but eventually she settles with 'Everything's...good.'
  51. >You can tell she's hiding something, the buzzing inside your skull reaches an all-time high
  52. >Your curiousity grows too large and your politeness slips for a moment, and you dip into her inner thoughts
  53. >'Don't look don't look don't look don't look!'
  54. >Well that about does it. You crack a smirk and dive deeper
  55. >The burning in your cheeks gets hotter, and her breathing quickens
  56. >You only feel vague sensations, but most are vivid and cause your heart to beat faster
  57. >She wraps one arm around the other, and shakes her head, trying to throw you off.
  58. 'Come oon, what do you have to hide?'
  59. >'Please stay out of here!'
  60. 'You should have thought about that before you poked around in my mind!'
  61. >You tease, but you move closer in. As much as she tries to drown you out, you finally hear a subconscious voice
  62. >'I shouldn't have fallen for him so fast.'
  63. >Your mind snaps back out of hers even faster than it entered
  64. >"W-what did you see?!" She asks, desperate for a certain answer
  65. >You think for a moment, stuck. You can feel she's trying to probe you for information, but is too distracted
  66.
  67.
  68.
  69. 'I'm kind of not hungry, now.'
  70. >It was an understatement, of course. Your stomach was full of the butterflies of two seperate entities
  71. >And you're sure your figurative pockets held enough spaghetti to feed an african country for 2 years
  72. >Her heart drops, but you can't quite bring yourself to say anything.
  73. >You both sit there for what seems like ages. You expected tears to come, or hyperventilation, or something
  74. >But it was just a few minutes of sitting still as a statue
  75. >Angel eventually pops up on the table, holding his dinner bowl expectantly, asking for seconds
  76. "Shut up, I'm trying to bang your mother."
  77. >It drops
  78. >Angel's bowl, and both his and Flutters' jaws.
  79. >Whew, thanks dickhead subconscious. Now that you're a little less mentally blocked, you think quickly
  80. >You smile, and pat Angel on the head. Oh, right, he doesn't know you exist
  81. "Sorry, Angel-bunny. Momma's had a big day."
  82. >He quickly skitters off, crawling into some unknown hidey-hole.
  83. >You look up to the ceiling, shadows of the candlelight flickering off every surface.
  84. >Your grin only grows larger
  85. 'You know, I quite like you myself. Thanks for dealing with my bullshit.'
  86. >Now the tears that seemed to have plagued the both of you this busy day start to fall
  87. >But this time, not out of shame or sorrow. In fact...you feel pretty dandy.
  88. >Quickly your tears enter the mix, and you fall over on to the ground, curling into a snuggly ball
  89. >Both you and Flutters holding your arms and legs tight in a self embrace
  90. >You stay there for a while, drinking in the moment.
  91. >You pity the dead who no longer know such joy--
  92. >Son. Of a BITCH.
  93. >Don't let your memes be memes. Yesterday, you said tomorrow. So just. Do it.
  94. >You do your best to caress your own face with your hoof, in hopes Fluttershy understand your intent
  95. "In fact...I think I love you."
