- MAIN RULES
- 1. No racism/sexism.
- 2. No being a jerk to people or trying to drive them away.
- 3. Even if you're being ironic, you still risk being banned if it's obnoxious.
- 4. If you post something NSFW, make it clear that it's NSFW.
- BIG DUMB ARGUMENT RULES
- 5. Don't argue about politics or religion.
- 6. Argue about the topic and don't just be tools to each other.
- 7. Don't have big conversations devoted to bashing people that aren't on IRC; no cross channel complaining.
- 8. Don't backseat mod or argue about mod actions in the channel. If someone should be banned/unbanned, PM a mod. If you think a mod screwed up, PM an admin.
- Bans for bad behavior sometimes come down to judgement calls. If you're in doubt, it's easy to not insult someone or avoid making a personal/big dumb argument.
- The mods will discuss any long bans with each other, doing their best to ensure things are fair. Rules lawyering is unnecessary and unhelpful.
- Each time you break the rules and need mod action, the punishment will increase. If you get banned once, the next ban will be longer.
