  10. [22:27] dominikm: Hi, I would like to contribude back to this project at least a little bit for now. I would try to find a solution for http://bugzilla.vyos.net/show_bug.cgi?id=9 Is it ok when it's confirmed ticket?
  11. [22:34] dmbaturin: dominikm: Confirmed means just that a ticket was not considered invalid. Tickets someone is working on usually have IN_PROGRESS status.
  12. [22:36] dmbaturin: As of the #9, the solution is likely to be very awkward. If you want to improve the CLI infrastructure, you should join the nextgen vyos discussions in the mailing list.
  13. [22:36] dmbaturin: See http://vyos.net/wiki/Old_backend for the problem overview.

  15. [22:37] dmbaturin: If you also want to improve the current system, you can search for bugs with target milestone set to lithium. Lithium is the upcoming release, and it's close to beta release, but there are a few remaining bugs.

  21. [22:51] analog_: I'm looking for opinions about SLC compact flash, anyone?
  22. [22:56] dmbaturin: My other flash is a magnetic drive.
  23. [22:56] analog_: I was thinking buying the 16gb version http://www.supertalent.com/datasheets/5_116.pdf
  24. [22:57] analog_: dmbaturin those micro-drive type thingies?
  25. [22:57] dmbaturin: dominikm: There are a few easy ones AFAIR. I was mostly looking into hard ones lately.
  26. [22:58] dmbaturin: analog_: No, I've never tried those. I meant usual HDs. :)
  27. [22:59] analog_: ah, yes. but that's not really an option in this use-case. The alternative would be ssd but I don't feel like wasting 2-3 watts on it.
  28. [23:00] dmbaturin: Back to serious, I guess SLC should be safe enough.
  29. [23:00] analog_: http://www.omtec.de/blog/Produktkatalog/mini-pc/lex/lex-uno-un2741-00a/
  30. [23:00] dmbaturin: And there's probably not much difference between vendors, as long as it's still SLC.
  31. [23:00] squeeb_: I use a microdrive thingy
  32. [23:00] analog_: okay, good to know.
  33. [23:00] squeeb_: out of an iPod mini actually
  34. [23:00] squeeb_: it's been running for around a year
  35. [23:01] analog_: I like your attitude squeeb_ "i bought an ipod, only the drive was useful"
  36. [23:01] squeeb_: very slow though, wouldn't do it again.
  37. [23:01] squeeb_: haha
  38. [23:02] squeeb_: it's in an old watchguard firewall
  39. [23:02] squeeb_: VyOS runs awesome on it
  40. [23:02] analog_: apparently they continued developing CF into Cfast and it does ahci iirc. (drunk late night wiki sessh)
