  1. HurricaneChris04 (9:51:06 PM): So, Ramirez was looking for pilots. One thing led to another, and now chaos and Jacqli are aboard an ESF battleship.
  2. HurricaneChris04 (9:51:50 PM): They've been given a light briefing on the situation -- a huge group of hostile aliens is en route to the Earth Sphere, and the ESF has set up a three-line defense system to intercept them before they can reach Earth.
  3. HurricaneChris04 (9:53:04 PM): The ship that the two of you are aboard is in the first line of defense, alongside the Deep Space Exploration Ship, Celestial Being.
  4. HurricaneChris04 (9:54:00 PM): The largest ELS in the enemy fleet is visible from the ship you're on.
  5. HurricaneChris04 (9:54:09 PM): What are the two of you doing at the moment?
  6. Vehrec (9:54:32 PM): Jacqli is currently knee deep-figuratively speaking-in the manual for a GN-14 movile suit. Or XIV if you prefer roman numerals.
  7. Nekomittchi (9:55:18 PM): chaos watched from a viewport. He knew that these weren't Gnosis... but from what Lockon had said, the potential for devastation was just as great.
  8. HurricaneChris04 (9:55:49 PM): Soon enough, but what probably felt like an eternity to the rest of the crew, the signal was given for all pilots to board their mobile suits.
  9. HurricaneChris04 (9:56:16 PM): The order to launch, however, is not given just yet.
  10. Vehrec (9:57:05 PM): "Hurry up and wait. We might just see if it's possible to die from anticipation."
  11. HurricaneChris04 (9:57:16 PM): The first wave of the attack is a missile salvo from the three fleets in the front line. Every available missile launcher from each ship fires a load of missiles at the enemy forces.
  12. Nekomittchi (9:57:34 PM): chaos climbed into the transformed Asher's cockpit. It was strange, only having one seat.
  13. Nekomittchi (9:57:35 PM): He familiarized himself with the "Brave's" controls, confident that the Vessel of Anima would know how to control the vessel, even if it was a different form.
  14. HurricaneChris04 (9:57:42 PM): And the shots all aim true -- there are detonations reported, and indeed, are visible from the naked eye.
  15. HurricaneChris04 (9:58:01 PM): However, also visible are the ELS emerging from the explosions, mostly unharmed.
  16. HurricaneChris04 (9:58:30 PM): There was a bit of a hubbub over the comm channel. No one had expected to stop the ELS so easily, but they thought they could have actually done some damage.
  17. HurricaneChris04 (9:59:08 PM): Thus, to signal the start of the mobile suit attack, the Celestial Being opens fire.
  18. HurricaneChris04 (9:59:25 PM): A GN Particle Cannon shot erupts from the side of the ship, and strikes the large ELS dead on, and punches through to the other side.
  19. HurricaneChris04 (9:59:48 PM): However, the large ELS immediately begins to repair itself, and the rest of the ELS accelerate towards the defense forces.
  20. HurricaneChris04 (9:59:58 PM): All mobile suits are given the order to launch.
  21. HurricaneChris04 (10:00:06 PM): (Initiative: chaos, Jacqli)
  22. Nekomittchi (10:00:41 PM): chaos tightened his gloves, then gripped the controls. "chaos, launching!"
  23. HurricaneChris04 (10:00:49 PM): (Allied units: Celestial Being x1 (Kati), GN-XIV standard types xmany, GN-XIV Commander Types x2 (Patrick, Andrei), Volga class ship xmany)
  24. HurricaneChris04 (10:01:08 PM): (Enemy units: Small ELS xmany, Medium ELS xmany, Large ELS x1)

  28. Nekomittchi (10:02:28 PM): chaos knew that the largest ELS was the most dangerous, but small enemies in large numbers could be even more so. Targeting as many as the 'Brave' could handle, chaos started firing on the small ELS.

  30. HurricaneChris04 (10:03:08 PM): The Brave's weaponry made quick work of the small ELS it could hit (and it hit a fair number), but there were just so many.
  31. HurricaneChris04 (10:03:11 PM): (Jacqli)
  32. Vehrec (10:04:32 PM): Jacqli shifts power to her all four of the close-range vulcans and opts to deploy a beam rifle in order to blaze away as fast as she can at the incoming enemy before the two forces merge and she needs to fight more conservatively.

  34. HurricaneChris04 (10:04:58 PM): Jacqli's assault takes out a cloud of ELS near the front of the enemy forces.
  35. HurricaneChris04 (10:05:29 PM): All around you, other pilots are fighting just as valiantly, but with similar results.
  36. HurricaneChris04 (10:05:41 PM): But then, the ELS start to do something unexpected...
  37. HurricaneChris04 (10:05:47 PM): They start combining and changing shape.
  38. HurricaneChris04 (10:06:10 PM): And they start to form mobile suits not unlike those around you.
  39. HurricaneChris04 (10:07:03 PM): All along the front line, ELS GN-XIVs form and begin to open fire. Their weaponry is suspiciously like GN Particle weaponry.
  40. HurricaneChris04 (10:07:09 PM): (all react)
  41. Vehrec (10:08:10 PM): Jacqli dodges, cursing her decision NOT to mount added manuvering aids on her suit's hardpoints. At the same time, she squeezes off a few shots of hastily aimed covering fire.
  42. momijizukamori (10:08:24 PM): Tieria watches all of this from inside Veda - as the enemy units begin to change, he swears under his breath. They'll be more maneuverable now - and more deadly.
  43. Nekomittchi (10:09:13 PM): chaos used the Vessel of Anima to dodge, relying on the concentrated portion of his power to assist him.
  44. HurricaneChris04 (10:10:16 PM): A few particle shots graze Jacqli's GN-XIV, but the damage is superficial. Her return fire does likewise to one ELS GN-XIV. Meanwhile, chaos manages to avoid damage.
  45. HurricaneChris04 (10:10:43 PM): As more ELS GN-XIVs are formed, though, a rain of beam fire descends on them from above.
  46. HurricaneChris04 (10:11:08 PM): Launching from a distant ship is a new half-squadron of mobile suits, five of whom are piloting the same type of mobile suit as chaos.
  47. HurricaneChris04 (10:11:28 PM): The sixth, and clearly the leader, has a slightly different model.
  48. HurricaneChris04 (10:11:49 PM): The Sol-Braves' assault begins to force the ELS GN-XIVs back just a bit.

  50. HurricaneChris04 (10:12:10 PM): (New enemies: ELS GN-XIV x12)
  51. HurricaneChris04 (10:12:29 PM): (New allies: Brave (Standard Test Type) x5, Brave (Commander Test Type) x1 (Graham))
  52. Nekomittchi (10:14:58 PM): chaos nodded, more to himself than anyone else, at the reinforcements. Now that there were more of them, it was time to focus on the larger enemies. He used the GN Beam Machineguns to target the medium-sized ELS.

  54. HurricaneChris04 (10:15:48 PM): chaos's assault blew two of the claws off the ELS he was targeting, but it didn't slow down. Instead, it changed its course and flew directly at chaos's Brave.
  55. HurricaneChris04 (10:15:52 PM): (chaos react, Jacqli go)
  56. Nekomittchi (10:16:31 PM): chaos adjusted the Beam Rifle, shooting straight at the ELS coming towards him.
  57. Vehrec (10:16:35 PM): Jacqli pays the newcomers barely a glance as she shifts her weapons and aim respectively for a GN Bazooka, combining firepower with Chaos against the Medium-ELS, hopefully forcing it to divide it's attention.+
  58. HurricaneChris04 (10:17:06 PM): Between the two mobile suits' shots, the medium ELS was blown apart and dissolved into dust.
  59. HurricaneChris04 (10:17:34 PM): Meanwhile, nearby, another Brave wasn't so lucky. It staggered by, partially assimilated, only to get struck by a beam shot from an ELS GN-XIV and explode.
  60. HurricaneChris04 (10:17:45 PM): Graham: "NO! Goddammit, I ordered you not to die!"
  61. HurricaneChris04 (10:18:29 PM): Meanwhile, off in the distance, medium ELS were coalescing with smaller ELS. They were transforming, too.
  62. HurricaneChris04 (10:19:03 PM): These were forming ships just like the one that chaos and Jacqli initially launched from.
  63. HurricaneChris04 (10:19:19 PM): ESF soldier: "They're forming battleships, too?!"
  64. HurricaneChris04 (10:19:55 PM): The Celestial Being, however, doesn't take this lying down. Its captain orders another particle cannon shot, and it fires, though only with a 55% charge.
  65. Vehrec (10:20:01 PM): "They have no imagination."
  66. HurricaneChris04 (10:20:11 PM): Once again, it targets the large ELS...
  67. HurricaneChris04 (10:20:19 PM): But this time, it doesn't punch through.
  68. HurricaneChris04 (10:20:41 PM): The surface of the large ELS appears to peel back, revealing a multicolored surface.
  69. HurricaneChris04 (10:20:56 PM): The particle beam hits that surface, and the shot is dissipated.
  70. HurricaneChris04 (10:21:09 PM): Kati: "They've adapted to our weapons so quickly...?"
  71. HurricaneChris04 (10:21:40 PM): At this point, the ELS GN-XIVs begin moving in, and the ELS ships supply them with bombardment.
  72. HurricaneChris04 (10:21:42 PM): (chaos)
  73. HurricaneChris04 (10:21:58 PM): (New enemies: ELS battleships x 5)
  74. Nekomittchi (10:22:49 PM): chaos knew when things were getting more dangerous. And if those battleships could do anything like theirs could, they were in serious trouble.
  75. Nekomittchi (10:23:47 PM): Trusting the Vessel of Anima to protect Asher's transformed form the same as it did the ES from Gnosis attacks, he charged at one of the battleships, firing his canons as he went.+
  76. HurricaneChris04 (10:25:10 PM): A cloud of small ELS flew up to intercept the shots. At the same time, a pair of ELS GN-XIVs looped back and open fire on chaos's Brave!
  77. HurricaneChris04 (10:25:18 PM): (chaos react, Jacqli go)
  78. Nekomittchi (10:26:20 PM): chaos enabled the Chakram Grenade, sending electrical charges out to counter the small ELS, parrying the ELS mechs fire with his Beam Sabers.
  79. HurricaneChris04 (10:27:05 PM): The small ELS were forced to disperse, and the shots were parried. However, the GN-XIVs were moving in with their claws at melee range!
  80. HurricaneChris04 (10:27:11 PM): (chaos react again)
  81. Vehrec (10:27:58 PM): "Hey, don't ignore me!" Jacqli spun up her vulcans and fired them at one of the 'distracted' ELS suits while she switched back to the rifle and then fired with it agianst the suits threatening her ally.+
  82. Nekomittchi (10:28:11 PM): chaos gripped the Beam Sabers, swinging at the claws while simultaneously dodging out of their range.
  83. HurricaneChris04 (10:28:45 PM): The claws are sliced off, and the ELS GN-XIVs run into each other...only to merge and then promptly be blown to bits by Jacqli's cover fire.
  84. HurricaneChris04 (10:29:34 PM): However, while you guys are making some headway, the rest of the fleet isn't doing so well. Multiple battleships have been assimilated or destroyed, and ELS have broken through to the second line of defense.
  85. HurricaneChris04 (10:30:06 PM): However, once again, you guys are about to get reinforcements, if that ship in the distance is anything to go by!
  86. HurricaneChris04 (10:30:45 PM): Ptolemy's two upper liner catapults unfold, and two more mobile suits launch.
  87. HurricaneChris04 (10:31:11 PM): The first is an orange suit, the likes of which neither of you have seen yet.
  88. Vehrec (10:31:45 PM): jacqli can't help but be distracted by it's...large add-ons.
  89. HurricaneChris04 (10:31:48 PM): The second one, however, has sat in Confuto Ordinatio's hangar for quite some time, and though it's carrying a few extra bits, it still looks familiar.
  90. HurricaneChris04 (10:32:10 PM): Kati: "It's Celestial Being!"
  91. Nekomittchi (10:32:36 PM): chaos opened a comm to Zabanya. "Glad you could join us."
  92. HurricaneChris04 (10:33:12 PM): Immediately, the two Gundams enter the fray. Harute zips around the field sniping ELS with its weaponry, while Zabanya hangs back and goes Rifles Akimbo on the ELS.
  93. HurricaneChris04 (10:33:26 PM): Lockon: "What the... What the hell are you guys doing here?!"
  94. Nekomittchi (10:34:08 PM): "Ramirez sent us."
  95. Vehrec (10:34:12 PM): Jacqli: "Emergency reinforcements."
  96. HurricaneChris04 (10:34:28 PM): Meanwhile, Ptolemy is hanging back on the edge of the battlefield, launching a salvo of beam and missile fire at the ELS.
  97. HurricaneChris04 (10:34:49 PM): Lockon: "Ramirez?! But CO's supposed to stay out of major events like this!"
  98. HurricaneChris04 (10:35:04 PM): (Lockon added to the end of the initiative.)
  99. Nekomittchi (10:35:16 PM): chaos: "Bring it up with him when we get back."
  100. HurricaneChris04 (10:35:25 PM): (New allies: Ptolemaios 2 Kai x1 (Sumeragi), Gundam Harute x1 (Allelujah, Marie))
  101. Vehrec (10:35:30 PM): "Maybe someone got space flu and they needed replacements. Does it matter now?"
  102. HurricaneChris04 (10:35:36 PM): (chaos)
  103. HurricaneChris04 (10:35:49 PM): Lockon: "Fair enough, I might just do that! If this messes things up..."
  104. momijizukamori (10:35:56 PM): Tieria: "Veda is listing several missing persons for the ESF vessels prior to launch."
  105. HurricaneChris04 (10:36:30 PM): Lockon: "Huh? ...Oh, I get it now! Ramirez was looking for substitutes, was he?"
  106. Nekomittchi (10:37:18 PM): Glad of the extra support, chaos fired on the ELS mech units who were protecting the battleships, before closing in on one with the beam saber to take out those annoying claw weapons.+
  107. momijizukamori (10:38:10 PM): Tieria: "Probable. Veda should have been informed though."
  108. HurricaneChris04 (10:38:21 PM): The mecha dispersed, and chaos was able to take out the remaining GN-XIV in close range.
  109. HurricaneChris04 (10:38:50 PM): The other mecha tried to close in on chaos, but Harute flew by at that moment in flight mode, bisecting them neatly with its hip-mounted beam cannon in saber mode.
  110. HurricaneChris04 (10:38:56 PM): (Jacqli)
  111. Vehrec (10:39:02 PM): Jacqli deploys both Bazooka and Rifle, one in each hand, and lines up a shot on the ELS Battleship that chaos had just cleared the way to before squeezing both triggers.+
  112. HurricaneChris04 (10:40:02 PM): A little more firepower will be needed to take down that battleship. Fortunately, more is about to arrive!
  113. HurricaneChris04 (10:40:24 PM): Graham sees what Jacqli is doing, and opens fire with his Brave's weaponry. The ship is ripped in two.
  114. HurricaneChris04 (10:41:27 PM): ((Brief rundown for Ultra: ELS are forming GN-XIVs and battleships. The ESF, the Sol-Braves, and Celestial Being are all fighting.))
  115. HurricaneChris04 (10:41:40 PM): (Katina, go ahead and launch from Ptolemy.)
  116. xcaltoona (10:43:14 PM): ((Aye))
  117. xcaltoona (10:47:49 PM): And then suddenly, screaming and a bulky red machine launching out of the Ptolemy, spraying missiles at the ELS copy mechs. "Sorry about that!"+
  118. xcaltoona (10:48:45 PM): ((This red thing is totally a GN-XIV))
  119. HurricaneChris04 (10:49:11 PM): The missiles blow the limbs off of several mecha, and a couple strike them in the cores. They're blown apart.
  120. HurricaneChris04 (10:50:06 PM): Zabanya, meanwhile, is deploying the rest of its rifle bits. Lockon's Haros arrange them into preprogrammed patterns, and they cycle through them. A number of small ELS are taken out.
  121. HurricaneChris04 (10:50:11 PM): Lockon: "Geez, Katina, you, too?"
  122. HurricaneChris04 (10:51:11 PM): However, even with all of these reinforcements and additional strategies, the battle is looking grim.
  123. momijizukamori (10:51:14 PM): Tieria's annoyed sigh is audible over the comms. "They /really/ should have run these things through Veda."
  124. HurricaneChris04 (10:51:33 PM): The numbers are starting to come in -- approximately 30% of the ESF forces have been wiped out.
  125. xcaltoona (10:51:42 PM): Katina: "I'd have been faster if I was more used to this model!"
  126. HurricaneChris04 (10:52:00 PM): The ELS forces, on the other hand, are still numerous beyond comprehension.
  127. HurricaneChris04 (10:52:32 PM): To make matters worse, an explosion can be seen on the surface of the Celestial Being -- the particle cannon had been self-destructed due to ELS contamination.
  128. HurricaneChris04 (10:52:46 PM): And finally, perhaps most telling of all, ELS have broken through the absolute defense line.

  131. Nekomittchi (10:56:18 PM): chaos had seen far too many worlds destroyed by the Gnosis, he wasn't going to let this Earth become 'Lost'. He changed his trajectory, cannons firing and beam saber ready, aiming at the ELS that broke through the line.+
  132. HurricaneChris04 (10:57:06 PM): chaos's shots destroyed several ELS, but some more GN-XIVs came in from behind him.
  133. HurricaneChris04 (10:57:20 PM): But before anyone could react, a commander-type GN-XIV slashed through them with its buster sword.
  134. HurricaneChris04 (10:57:23 PM): (Jacqli)
  135. Vehrec (10:59:07 PM): Jacqli turned her attention back to the swarm of small ELS now swarming through the lines. For an instant, she considered flipping the switch to engage her suit's Trans-Am feature..
  136. Vehrec (10:59:13 PM): .but instead simply opened fire with every ranged weapon at her disposal in a 'spray and pray' tactic.+
  137. HurricaneChris04 (10:59:54 PM): Jacqli's attack likewise stopped some, and the ones she missed were peppered with rifle fire...from the same GN-XIV that had just bailed chaos out.

  139. xcaltoona (11:01:55 PM): With the rest of the team firing range weapons, Katina darted at more of the copies with a pair of beam sabers, dancing around at arm's length to slash at them without making physical contact. If she was careful, she could hack them to pieces without getting grabbed.
  140. HurricaneChris04 (11:02:37 PM): The ELS weren't used to such techniques from a pilot, and were sliced to ribbons.
  141. HurricaneChris04 (11:03:01 PM): Lockon likewise focused on the copies, turning his weaponry loose and decimating their numbers.
  142. HurricaneChris04 (11:03:30 PM): Meanwhile, the GN-XIV from before chased down a medium ELS that was descending to Earth. Buster sword ready, it began putting marks in it.
  143. HurricaneChris04 (11:03:41 PM): In fact, it got too close, and started to get assimilated.
  144. HurricaneChris04 (11:04:03 PM): But then the suit began to glow red. Violently red. Anyone familiar with Trans-Am could tell that it was being pushed beyond its limits.
  145. HurricaneChris04 (11:04:15 PM): And then, the pilot's voice came over the band:
  146. HurricaneChris04 (11:04:29 PM): Andrei: "I am a soldier of the Federation army! I WILL PROTECT THE PEOPLE!"
  147. HurricaneChris04 (11:05:04 PM): Anyone who crossed over as Innovators will see an image coming from his mind: a middle-aged couple, both wearing military uniforms. The man bears a scar on the left side of his face.
  148. HurricaneChris04 (11:05:22 PM): Then, machine and ELS exploded in a bright blaze.
  149. HurricaneChris04 (11:05:51 PM): Meanwhile, due to the heavy GN Particle concentration...
  150. Nekomittchi (11:05:58 PM): chaos closed his eyes, offering a silent prayer to the fallen soldier.
  151. HurricaneChris04 (11:06:09 PM): Setsuna, who is lying in the Ptolemy's sick bay, finds his consciousness leaving his body.
  152. equilibratum (11:06:21 PM): Setsuna: "..."
  153. xcaltoona (11:06:30 PM): Katina's idea of a silent prayer will be thinking of him while destroying something.
  154. HurricaneChris04 (11:06:33 PM): He's standing in a ruined desert village, a flower growing from the dirt in front of him.
  155. HurricaneChris04 (11:07:02 PM): Then he finds himself in the Royal Palace of Azadistan. Shirin is distributing supplies to the people, and Marina is comforting a small child.
  156. HurricaneChris04 (11:07:27 PM): Now he's on the surface of the Orbital Ring. A transport stops, and Saji emerges to go fix something.
  157. equilibratum (11:07:36 PM): Setsuna's face is still impassive as he watched these scenes
  158. HurricaneChris04 (11:07:43 PM): He's in a Quantum Brainwave Isolation Shelter, looking over Louise.
  159. HurricaneChris04 (11:07:56 PM): He's watching from Harute's cockpit as Allelujah and Marie give the fight their all.
  160. HurricaneChris04 (11:08:13 PM): He's watching from Zabanya's cockpit as Lockon fights desperately to taste victory.
  161. equilibratum (11:08:20 PM): He knew that they were fighting; giving their all to protect the Earth
  162. equilibratum (11:08:27 PM): But...
  163. HurricaneChris04 (11:08:35 PM): He's watching from the bridge of the Ptolemy, as Sumeragi, Mileina, and Lasse do everything they can.
  164. HurricaneChris04 (11:08:44 PM): Then, everything turns black, and a voice speaks from behind him.
  165. HurricaneChris04 (11:08:52 PM): ???: "What are you doing just standing there?"
  166. equilibratum (11:09:08 PM): Setsuna turns to the voice, a bit surprised.
  167. HurricaneChris04 (11:09:11 PM): Lichti: "Everyone else is fighting desperately to live."
  168. HurricaneChris04 (11:09:19 PM): Another figure appears.
  169. HurricaneChris04 (11:09:25 PM): Christina: "We're trying to change the world."
  170. HurricaneChris04 (11:09:31 PM): And then, a third.
  171. HurricaneChris04 (11:09:43 PM): Neil: "I thought I told you, Setsuna. You're going to change."
  172. HurricaneChris04 (11:09:57 PM): Neil: "I couldn't, so you're gonna have to do it for me."
  173. HurricaneChris04 (11:10:17 PM): Neil: "You're alive. Don't you see? You're still alive!"
  174. HurricaneChris04 (11:10:34 PM): Then the three figures disappear, replaced by a glass-encased desert flower.
  175. HurricaneChris04 (11:10:37 PM): Setsuna, what will you do?
  176. equilibratum (11:10:59 PM): Setsuna... decides to wake up, obviously.
  177. HurricaneChris04 (11:11:20 PM): When Setsuna opens his eyes, he finds himself in sick bay. Hunched over him, holding his hand, is one Feldt Grace.
  178. HurricaneChris04 (11:11:39 PM): Her tears, which had previously been tears of desperation, become tears of joy as she embraces Setsuna.
  179. HurricaneChris04 (11:11:57 PM): Meanwhile, the rest of the ship learns of Setsuna's awakening...
  180. equilibratum (11:12:06 PM): Setsuna awkwardly... hugs her back.
  181. HurricaneChris04 (11:12:06 PM): And begin preparations on the 00 Qan[T] immediately.
  182. equilibratum (11:12:18 PM): Because even after all these he's still socially awkward.
  183. HurricaneChris04 (11:12:27 PM): Mileina: "I've successfully transferred your consciousness to the 00, Mr. Erde!"
  184. HurricaneChris04 (11:12:43 PM): Mileina: "...And Mr. Erde?"
  185. momijizukamori (11:12:51 PM): TIeria: "Yes, Milena?"
  186. HurricaneChris04 (11:13:03 PM): Mileina: "I just wanted to say that no matter what form or appearance you might take, I love you very much!"
  187. HurricaneChris04 (11:13:22 PM): Down in the hangar, Ian begins to flip out, while Linda merely laughs and congratulates Mileina on her new boyfriend.

  210. HurricaneChris04 (11:20:17 PM): Lockon engages his holographic targeting system. Within his cockpit, screens pop up, with multiple targeting reticles appearing. "Firing WITHOUT targeting!"

  213. HurricaneChris04 (11:20:58 PM): The ensuing beamspam wipes out a heavy portion of ELS.
  214. Nekomittchi (11:21:06 PM): chaos saw what Setsuna needed, and he activated the 'Brave's' Trans-Am system.
  215. Nekomittchi (11:21:08 PM): Letting the Vessel of Anima provide him with support, readied both the GN Beam Rifle and the GN Canons, launching the Tri-Punisher attack to clear out the path.+
  216. HurricaneChris04 (11:21:53 PM): Harute, meanwhile, appears to obtain four more eyes as it enters Marute Mode, and employs its GN Scissor Bits, cutting a swath of unholy carnage.
  217. Vehrec (11:22:42 PM): Jacqli pulls out both of her mobile suit's beam swords and prepares to emulate her son's awe inspiring bladework. She's merely workmanlike in comparision, but it should get the job done.+
  218. xcaltoona (11:22:53 PM): Katina activates her own Trans-Am, continuing her melee rush at a much wilder pace, charging at the enemies and hacking her way through everything in her path. "All you assholes, outta my way!"+
  219. HurricaneChris04 (11:23:24 PM): The combined onslaught creates a path toward the large ELS.
  220. equilibratum (11:23:30 PM): And without further ado, Setsuna begins flying towards the target!

  235. HurricaneChris04 (11:25:36 PM): With that, Graham's Brave enters Trans-Graham -- sorry, Trans-Am -- and flies through another swarm of ELS.

  237. HurricaneChris04 (11:26:03 PM): Meanwhile, the rest of you are getting swarmed even worse by ELS!
  238. HurricaneChris04 (11:26:11 PM): This is the time to pull out all the stops!

  240. Nekomittchi (11:27:09 PM): Still in Trans-Am mode (though not with much power left), chaos brought out the beam machineguns, firing at the ELS swarm with uncanny accuracy.

  242. HurricaneChris04 (11:27:29 PM): chaos's beamspam wreaks havoc on all nearby ELS.
  243. HurricaneChris04 (11:27:57 PM): Meanwhile, not too far away, Gundam Harute bails out a GN-XIV being assimilated, but loses one of its cannons in the process. It then enters Trans-Am and unleashes even more carnage than before.

  245. Vehrec (11:29:24 PM): Jacqli flips over into Trans-Am as well, pushing her GN-Tau drive to it's utmost limit, redlining it briefly before throttling back that output manually to something a 'bit' more sustainable.

  251. xcaltoona (11:34:16 PM): Katina switches gears to more defensive tactics, swapping out one of her swords for a rifle. She's still got Trans-Am, so she fires as many shots as she can while it lasts, lashing out at any ELS that get too close while working her way through their numbers.+
  252. HurricaneChris04 (11:36:46 PM): Katina creates an instant death radius for any ELS that are unfortunate enough to wander into it.
  253. HurricaneChris04 (11:37:18 PM): Zabanya, meanwhile, takes a hit from an ELS and loses its left arm. Lockon covers the shoulder with two holster bits, then enters Trans-Am himself.
  254. HurricaneChris04 (11:38:10 PM): Zabanya flies up above where most of the fighting is taking place, and unleashes enough beamspam to put the Strike Freedom to shame. Explosions are everywhere.
  255. HurricaneChris04 (11:38:24 PM): Setsuna, meanwhile, has reached the large ELS!

  257. equilibratum (11:44:45 PM): …Setsuna's reached the target, and is currently trying to look for a way in.
  258. HurricaneChris04 (11:45:22 PM): The surface looks pretty sturdy. Setsuna's gonna need something powerful to get through.
  259. equilibratum (11:45:53 PM): Well, guess there's only one way to do this.
  260. equilibratum (11:46:08 PM): Setsuna: "…I'm using Trans-Am to break through."
  261. momijizukamori (11:46:55 PM): Tieria's floating hologram nods. "Be careful."
  262. equilibratum (11:47:06 PM): Setsuna: "…I will."
  263. HurricaneChris04 (11:47:10 PM): Another report comes in. The ESF has lost 55% of its forces.
  264. equilibratum (11:48:45 PM): And with that, the 00 Qan-[T] begins glowing red, and deploys its fangs… which, well, combined with the rifle's long beam, forms a fuck huge beam sword.
  265. equilibratum (11:49:06 PM): …Which is as big as probably 1/3-1/4th of the ELS
  266. equilibratum (11:49:22 PM): And then Setsuna swings the whole thing at its surface!+
  267. HurricaneChris04 (11:49:32 PM): It appears to cut in briefly...
  268. HurricaneChris04 (11:49:54 PM): But then it's stopped, by the same shielding that blocked the second particle cannon shot from before.
  269. HurricaneChris04 (11:49:59 PM): The Quantum Sword can't cut through.
  270. equilibratum (11:50:09 PM): Setsuna : "…!"
  271. HurricaneChris04 (11:50:25 PM): But just before all hope can be lost, a shout can be heard on the comm:
  272. HurricaneChris04 (11:50:29 PM): Graham: "Young man!"
  273. HurricaneChris04 (11:50:57 PM): Graham's Brave flies toward the 00 Qan[T] in flight mode...and covered with ELS. It's being assimilated.
  274. HurricaneChris04 (11:51:18 PM): Graham: "Do you need a beacon to guide you to the future? I, Graham Aker, will HAPPILY OBLIGE!"
  275. HurricaneChris04 (11:51:40 PM): Graham pushes his Brave into Trans-Am, well past safe parameters. It's clear what he's about to do.
  276. HurricaneChris04 (11:52:06 PM): Graham: "This is NOT death! This is a sacrifice for HUMANITY TO LIVE ON!"
  277. HurricaneChris04 (11:52:30 PM): As the skin of the large ELS begins to peel back, Graham's Brave flies in between the seams. They close...
  278. HurricaneChris04 (11:52:40 PM): Only for an explosion to rip them back open.
  279. equilibratum (11:53:03 PM): Setsuna: "…that man..."
  280. HurricaneChris04 (11:53:20 PM): Lockon: "What are you waiting for, Setsuna?! Go!"
  281. equilibratum (11:53:35 PM): …pausing to give a very brief respect, Setsuna's going to fly into the ELS!
  282. equilibratum (11:53:47 PM): Setsuna: "…roger."
  283. HurricaneChris04 (11:53:51 PM): The ELS closes itself as Setsuna enters.
  284. HurricaneChris04 (11:53:58 PM): Meanwhile, back outside...
  285. HurricaneChris04 (11:54:07 PM): For the most part, you're all running low on GN Particles.

  287. HurricaneChris04 (11:54:28 PM): But there's still a lot of ELS out there.

  289. Nekomittchi (11:55:42 PM): chaos deactivated Trans-Am (not that he had a choice, really), and focused solely on his beam saber. He charged toward the ELS, cutting paths through those that remained.

  291. HurricaneChris04 (11:56:23 PM): chaos pushed his way through several ELS. However, two ELS mobile suits came in at him from the sides, as a third grabbed Jacqli's GN-XIV.

  293. Nekomittchi (11:57:31 PM): chaos gripped the two beam sabers securely in the 'Brave's' hands, and then spun, creating a spinning wheel of damage, should the two units come too close.
  294. xcaltoona (11:58:16 PM): Trans-Am shutting down from what she put her GN-XIV through, fighting more and more defensively and firing shots to keep the ELS off of her teammates as well. "Whatever he's doing, he better do it fast."+
  295. HurricaneChris04 (12:01:07 AM): Both GN-XIVs were cut apart, but the one to the left managed to grab the Brave's left forearm in its claw. The arm was crushed, rendered inoperable.
  296. HurricaneChris04 (12:01:39 AM): Katina's shots were able to prevent further assimilation to Jacqli's mobile suit, and repelled more ELS.
  297. HurricaneChris04 (12:01:56 AM): ...But not the small ELS coming up on her from behind.
  298. HurricaneChris04 (12:01:58 AM): (Katina react)
  299. HurricaneChris04 (12:02:46 AM): One of Zabanya's legs was struck by small ELS, which promptly began assimilating it. However, Lockon was bailed out by one of Harute's scissor bits, cutting the leg off and destroying it.
  300. xcaltoona (12:03:10 AM): She whips around, swiping her saber at her open back and crossing her fingers that someone could cover her as well.+
  301. HurricaneChris04 (12:03:11 AM): Out of juice for Trans-Am, Lockon focused the remainder of Zabanya's energy into firing shots to keep the ELS at bay.
  302. HurricaneChris04 (12:03:53 AM): Most of the ELS are taken off Katina's back, but a couple lucky ones strike Katina's arm and begin to assimilate the mobile suit.
  303. HurricaneChris04 (12:04:13 AM): But Lockon's shots help get rid of them...though Katina's GN-XIV also loses its right forearm.
  304. HurricaneChris04 (12:04:43 AM): At this point, Setsuna and Tieria have reached the core of the large ELS. It's time for the moment of truth.

  306. xcaltoona (12:04:47 AM): Katina: "Tch... couldn't have taken a leg off instead?"
  307. HurricaneChris04 (12:05:03 AM): Lockon: "Beggars can't be choosers, unfortunately!"
  308. Nekomittchi (12:05:05 AM): chaos was just glad that Jr wasn't in CO, to see the damage done to Asher.
  309. equilibratum (12:13:37 AM): Setsuna's going to start clicking switches and then activating Quantum Burst! +
  310. equilibratum (12:13:48 AM): It is time to make the first contact.
  311. equilibratum (12:13:49 AM): …Safe to say Setsuna's a bit nervous inside, but his determination prevents him from showing that.
  312. equilibratum (12:13:53 AM): "This is it, our first contact!"
  313. momijizukamori (12:13:54 AM): Another nod from Tieria, though his gaze is forward, at the path they're taking in.
  314. HurricaneChris04 (12:15:34 AM): And the dialogues being.
  315. HurricaneChris04 (12:15:36 AM): *begin
  316. HurricaneChris04 (12:16:11 AM): In a matter of moments, Setsuna faces a deluge of information. There's no way his brain can process it all, and it's putting him through some intense pain.
  317. HurricaneChris04 (12:17:07 AM): It threatens to be a repeat of last time if nothing different is done.
  318. momijizukamori (12:18:08 AM): "Setsuna! Open your mind, let Veda regulate the flow!" With that, Tieria braces himself, metaphorically, for the onslaught of raw data.
  319. HurricaneChris04 (12:20:45 AM): With Veda handling the rest, Setsuna and Tieria can finally see the raw essentials of the ELS's cry.
  320. HurricaneChris04 (12:21:13 AM): There's a planet. Within its seas, metallic cells were formed and eventually grew into lifeforms.
  321. HurricaneChris04 (12:21:39 AM): Time passed. A civilization grew. An orbital ring not unlike Earth's was constructed on this planet.
  322. equilibratum (12:22:02 AM): Setsuna: "This is..."
  323. HurricaneChris04 (12:22:13 AM): But then...the star their planet orbited expanded rapidly and burned away most of the life. The ELS population was decimated as the sun went nova.
  324. HurricaneChris04 (12:22:58 AM): But enough lived on to continue the species. So they sent out a large ELS -- the same one they were inside -- that left the planet and traveled into the depths of space.
  325. momijizukamori (12:23:36 AM): Tieria: "Searching for... a new home...?"
  326. equilibratum (12:23:52 AM): Setsuna: "It appears so."
  327. HurricaneChris04 (12:24:15 AM): The ELS learned by assimilating. They traveled through space, making contact with other worlds to learn about them.
  328. HurricaneChris04 (12:24:23 AM): And finally, their travels had brought them to Earth.
  329. HurricaneChris04 (12:24:35 AM): The ELS didn't want to fight. They wanted a new home.
  330. equilibratum (12:25:02 AM): Setsuna understood.
  331. HurricaneChris04 (12:25:04 AM): With this made apparent, the dialogues ended.
  332. HurricaneChris04 (12:25:27 AM): The 00 Qan[T] was released from the core. A series of hatches opened to the surface.
  333. equilibratum (12:25:50 AM): Setsuna finds himself outside
  334. equilibratum (12:26:22 AM): …determined to end this, he uses the Qan-[T]'s Teleportation system for the first time
  335. equilibratum (12:26:38 AM): Destination: ELS' current location
  336. equilibratum (12:27:01 AM): And with that, he enters the portal that was made using its teleportation system!+
  337. HurricaneChris04 (12:27:07 AM): As soon as the 00 Qan[T] flies through the portal it created, all ELS hostilities cease.
  338. HurricaneChris04 (12:27:35 AM): All the ELS out there begin to withdraw and gather around the large ELS.
  339. HurricaneChris04 (12:27:54 AM): They fly past the people who had had to abandon their machines. Patrick. Allelujah. Marie. Lockon.
  340. HurricaneChris04 (12:28:09 AM): Everyone follows the path they take with their eyes.
  341. HurricaneChris04 (12:28:33 AM): And where the large ELS once was...
  342. HurricaneChris04 (12:28:44 AM): ...Was a giant desert flower.
