  1. [13:05:42] A journey not so far, relative to his usual sorts-- a journey that, overall, barely matched the whole of his trek across Valmasia to the likes of the Wychwood rather than his usual Bygonegrove. His figure swelled with every motion, splinters held throughout that the mimic had yet to extract; they, much to his dismay, served as a vile reminder of his loss against the Urayan Ronan, though it was quite easy indeed to lock those physical memoirs away in some forgotten section of his oozing figure. In its core, even, the hollow center filled to the brim with all sorts of lost items from his childhood and furthermore - smashed up as a result of being the target of many attacks against Shepherd, it squished fluidly with the resulting dust and debris...
  2.
  3. "Despicable Urayans," he murmured to himself with every 'step.' It was more of a slide than anything else, really, provided the fact that Shepherd no longer actually had any feet to speak of!
  4.
  5. Instead, he had a 'disc' or something akin of ichor that, fusing his legs together, served well as a very fast method of travel. Without fatigue, it was a simple affair to glide across the plains of Southern Nostvale-- with equal ease was it a possibility to breach the walls legally, not daring to shame himself by changing his visage to fit that of a human's. He wasn't even aware if whether or not the city allowed mimics! If someone had a problem with his presence there, they could take it up with him. The death of Ariadne meant the death of whatever presence of the Cult of Belial mattered to Shepherd in any significant manner, and as such was he overly giddy to visit a city he hadn't met the members of since, well..
  6.
  7. Since he was a child, and a lot had changed since then.
  8.
  9. A lot physically and mentally. No longer the cutesy mimic ball of goo he once was nor the humanly shapeshifter, Shepherd was a humanoid collection of mimic ichor that seemed truly ideal a persona: glistening, his chest and abdomen were devoid of the humanly muscle-lines usually present upon any fit human magi. Or at least the male sorts, anyways! And too was his countenance a perfect one, eyes rounded with explicit purpose and the only true blemish being his maw. With every word or syllable, it'd drip and slide open to reveal a dark, dank cavernous gullet of slime, likely the most frightening and most imperfect feature across the whole of Shepherd. Furthermore, around him was an incessant aura of depravity--
  10.
  11. A consequence of not daring to hide his true self and too a consequence of his lack of control over certain..
  12.
  13. Emotions.
  14.
  15. Whatever the case, he 'strolled' through the walkways of the town!
  16. (Shepherd)
  17. [13:05:42] Shepherd: (( there uyou go ))
  18. [13:05:42] Shepherd: (( now i brb for water ))
  19. [13:09:58] Amir: (forgive me for how cliche this may be

  21. [13:13:23] Amir: (lol
  22. [13:13:23] Amir: (oops

  26. [13:15:56] Shepherd: (( you really don't want to rp, do you ))
  27. [13:15:56] Shepherd: (( go ahead, panda, i was just kidding ))
  28. [13:15:56] Shepherd: (( hahahah ))
  29. [13:16:48] Amir: (i'm just
  30. [13:16:48] Amir: (eating mac n cheese and also writing
  31. [13:16:48] Amir: (so i am a bit slow D:
  32. [13:16:48] Shepherd: (( it's ok yo ))
  33. [13:16:48] Shepherd: (( i've been rping with newbies for the past two days ))
  34. [13:16:48] Amir: (oh
  35. [13:16:48] Shepherd: (( i can watch youtube videos and eat snacks ))
  36. [13:17:39] Amir: (depravity can b felt right
  37. [13:17:39] Shepherd: (( yeye ))
  38. [13:17:39] Shepherd: (( not heavily like occult, but it's there ))
  39. [13:18:30] Exiting the house where the body was kept; the marked Sarradian is quick to open up another pack of cigarettes; everything was stressing and confusing him and he didn't know what to do about it -- everything was strange, and, Amir didn't know what he'd do. He was stuck here; a place he wished not to be. A quick walk through the slums of Nostvale and a way past the market; he's on the normal paths of Nostvale.
  40.
  41. Of course, he didn't know what to expect; but the Sarradian sees a human-shaped mass of mimic goo -- or rather, ichor if one preferred.. And it felt very off; though its not like he'd have met one before; the disgusting feeling of depravity being there.
  42.
  43. Regardless, smoke passes through the mouth of Amir as he simply gives Shepherd a funny look -- Shepherd looked. . .
  44.
  45. Gross!
  46. (Amir)
  47. [13:25:20] Amir: (i added bacon to my mac n cheese
  48. [13:25:20] Amir: (i'm horrible
  49. [13:25:20] Amir: (but its so good
  50. [13:25:20] A funny look was proffered to the likes of the mimic, and a funny look would be.. well, looked at! Though Shepherd's stare was far less comical and moreso one of.. uh, anger. Frustration, perhaps? It was hard to say when he didn't really have much of a face beyond those eyes and a slight scowl from his usually-vacant mouth; however, as he shuffled his lower disc of ichor forth unto the likes of Amir, it'd become increasingly clear that whatever emotion he held wasn't one of glee nor joy. Rather, he was quite upset! Still, the term was a strange one to apply to such a mercurial being. He was, while obviously turmoiled, desperately hoping to keep whatever emotion he truly held under wraps - desperately hoping to keep his honest self beneath his outer skins, hiding away opinion from those who might use it against him.
  51.
  52. And, as he approached, the shifting of his ooze would become outwardly apparent: expansion! Shoulders, fused legs, arms, torso; practically all portions of Shepherd grew in size, if only slightly so, to push past whatever sizes Amir himself bore. The mimic was obviously quite bent on making himself appear bigger, appear as if he was the driver of the coming conversation before it'd even been started! Such superficial values, it seemed, mattered quite a lot to Him. "What're you of the staring at, hmn?", he called in a somewhat booming voice, his tone hardly a friendly one yet not so hugely offensive, either. A cautionary tale was spoken in just a few short words! Shepherd was toxic, in more ways than one-- and his speech proclaimed that fact openly.
  53.
  54. "Surely you'd not of the daring to stare at the Shepherd with such eyes of the disdain-- would be of the silly, yes?"
  55.
  56. A wicked grin seemed to signify that Shepherd, again, wasn't very happy about this offensive glare of Amir's.
  57. (Shepherd)
  58. [13:25:20] Shepherd: (( that sounds pretty good ))
  59. [13:25:20] Medea Scarlet: (( have you ever topped chili with bacon mac n cheese?
  60. [13:25:20] Medea Scarlet: (( It's GODLY.
  61. [13:25:20] Shepherd: (( i heard ketchup is good with mac and cheese ))
  62. [13:25:20] Medea Scarlet: ((...
  63. [13:25:20] Medea Scarlet: (( youre sick.
  64. [13:25:20] Shepherd: (( i imagine bbq sauce would e good... ))
  65. [13:25:20] Shepherd: (( wow ))
  66. [13:25:20] Shepherd: (( i havent tried it myself ))
  67. [13:25:20] Medea Scarlet: (( tbf tho, I hate ketchup
  68. [13:26:11] Amir: (ketchup can b ok with it but since this is baked macaroni and not shitty KD i'm not gonna
  69. [13:26:11] Amir: (ruin it with ketchup
  70. [13:27:53] Amir: (can you speak english roomy...
  71. [13:27:53] Amir: (c'mon
  72. [13:27:53] Shepherd: (( i can translate ))
  73. [13:29:36] Medea Scarlet: (( WOULD BE OF THE SILLY YES?
  74. [13:29:36] Medea Scarlet: (( omg, that DOES sound like Starfire.
  75. [13:31:18] Shepherd: (( LOL ))
  76. [13:31:18] Shepherd: (( ahahahah ))
  77. [13:33:52] Amir was giving Shepherd a funny look because Shepherd looked kind of funny; like if you fell into a vat of sticky black tar or something. Maybe he was a vat of sticky black tar. Amir didn't know; it was super, super strange to see -- though he was also--
  78.
  79. ...
  80.
  81. Was this guy even speaking Valmasian? It was weird; he was speaking Valmasian, but, the words were all jumbled as he said them! Amir was confused.
  82.
  83. "Staring at you.", he said, a pause. "Ugly...", he frowns, shaking his head. Perhaps it was rude to stare at people funny. Either way, there's another inhale and exhale of smoke as he stares at the Mimic.
  84.
  85. "Do speak Valmasian?"
  86. (Amir)
  87. [13:42:24] The mimic bubbled absently, bunching fists into blobs of ooze as he stared forth at the brown-skinned blonde.
  88.
  89. "Ugly?!", he inquired rhetorically, not hardly expecting a reply - hell, with recent statements of Amir as indication, whatever was said next from the maw of the Sarradian-like fellow was probably going to be a vague insult anyways. Gushing closer, his ichor dripped over the stone bricks of the Nostvalen walkways-- and, as he moved, a trail relatable perhaps to those snails produced was lain across his path! Gross, to be sure, though likely moreso frightening than anything else; if one looked closely, it'd be clear just how much corrosion that vile residue laced across the property of Nostvale. Inches of stone were lost in mere seconds, or perhaps minutes was a more valid approximation of time. Either way, the results were surely shocking.
  90.
  91. Pointing a gooey finger towards the likes of Amir, it'd swell as the frustration of Shepherd forced underlying, almost blood-like ichor to the underside of his utilized index. "Does speak of the Valmasian?!", he continued with a further upset visage. His anger was compounded, and again was it hoped to be contained; if in human form, he'd not be blushing nor really showing any signs beyond his verbal exclamations. Even now, those still proved to be the only real explanations of his minor rage - he had a reputation to uphold! And, above all else, he couldn't let a pest such as this one be of any matter to him beyond a simple annoyance, could he? Shepherd's orange eyes glowed brightly, and the scowl his maw had formed into surely communicated his opinion of Amir to the older man.
  92.
  93. "Of course speaks the Valmasian. Are you deaf, brown-boy?!", Shepherd queried, hoping, quite obviously, to insult. "Besides, Shepherd is hardly of the ugly-- is beautiful, in the eyes of a mimic. Is the truest form, the form that any of the mimics would adore to be! To us, brown-boy is of the ugly."
  94.
  95. "Shepherd is the epitome of grace; the peak mimic, you see."
  96.
  97. Shepherd was in a fit of pique.
  98. (Shepherd)
  99. [13:50:04] Amir was still standing there, a simple glare upon the mimic as they're at the standstill. It was a super ugly black mimic monster that was making everything around him begin to melt, and, it was surely something Amir would never bother to touch; however, with the insults and the sort -- Shepherd calling himself beautiful...
  100.
  101. Amir frowns further. He knew that he wasn't 'ugly' in any way or form -- the mimic before him however, was butt-ugly and looked horrible. Amir simply tilts his head, and, blinks.
  102.
  103. "You.. Are ruining city.", he states; a fact of sorts. "Stop ruining city -- or -- will kill.", he declares; he was done playing games, even if it was an extremely empty threat. . . "Kill you and ugly body. Mimic..?
  104.
  105. ugly."
  106. (Amir)
  107. [13:52:38] Shepherd: sorry i have to go i left my fridge running
  108. [13:52:38] Shepherd: (( just kidding ))
  109. [14:00:19] Well, if there wasn't a switch flipped before, there definitely was now.
  110.
  111. "KILL?", he pronounced. If his anger was hidden before, it was no longer so obscure from view now-- in fact, it was on clear display. The mimic obviously took great, great offense to the claim against his life. In fact, he took such great offense that he seemed wholly prepared to launch into battle at a moment's notice; and, as his disc of ichor that'd formerly served as a method of transportation would recede from view into the thick of Shepherd's legs, it'd soon become clear just how direly he wished to beat into the Sarradian's skull that killing him was utterly out of the question. That killing him was simply not something Amir was capable of-- and as the winds picked up horribly, that desire was made all the more relevant.
  112.
  113. "You do not of getting to decide whether Shepherd dies or lives," Shepherd spat; literally spat, even! At the end of his phrase, a dollop of 'saliva' or whatever other sort of incredibly vile, acrid, downright toxic chemical filled the maw of the mimic shooting from his mouth to the feet of Amir. It'd melt through the stone with a great deal more efficiency than his slimetrail! Which, by the way, had receded by now. Instead of a circle of ooze beneath him did a pair of legs remain! Confined to their individual trunks, the absorption of the slime made Shepherd.. considerably.. bigger. He was perhaps greater than six foot! Bordering seven foot at best, muscles vacant as per usual to favor the production of poisonic gel.
  114.
  115. "Only Shepherd has control of His glorious life-- you've worked for of the nothing! Handed everything, is a peasant with fancy tools!", the mimic said, continuing his message with whatever haste could be mustered. "Brown-boy is of silly little thing, angry at his superior; angry at Shepherd for being of the better, surely!"
  116.
  117. Battle was afoot.
  118. (Shepherd)
  119. [14:04:35] Kalerion, The Harvester: Sup)
  120. [14:06:17] Being a 5'7 Sarradian, the boy is somewhat offput by how tall Shepherd had become in such little time -- the man is.. Unsure of why he was doing this. He knew that he needed to keep practicing fighting; to master his ability and to.. Escape Nostvale. This shitty -- cursed city would be left to rot after the Sarradian was able to leave.
  121.
  122. He hated it. The final place of Ariadne Hirano, even -- the final resting place of his friendship with everyone. He didn't have friends anymore, and, it was surely something unfortunate.
  123.
  124. "No. Amir -- Amir worked.. for tools.", he declares, a simple glare upon his face as the winds pick up; and he closes his eyes.
  125.
  126. He almost beat Kudana with it; surely Shepherd would be defeated easily if he could get lucky. After moments, the earth cracks open under him -- and sand, burning, burning sand comes to his whim.
  127.
  128. He was using the elements of the desert.
  129. (Amir)
  130. [14:06:17] Amir: (Tbh
  131. [14:06:17] Amir: ( Eutan Haruke: This is exciting. It's like watching two mentally impaired children fight over the last ham sandwich.
  132. [14:07:08] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Oh your not Dravus nvm.)

  141. [14:08:00] Sol Kokugatsu: u werent scared when u broke my arm u duck)

  153. [14:08:00] Amir: (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  154. [14:08:00] Amir: (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  155. [14:08:00] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Until I hit Kaor.)
  156. [14:08:51] {combat} Shepherd has been defeated by Amir! They're unable to continue fighting.
  157. [14:08:51] Shepherd: (( my ass has been ))
  158. [14:08:51] Shepherd: (( properly reamed by ice ))
  159. [14:09:42] Octavia Ambrosia: ((how)
  160. [14:09:42] Octavia Ambrosia: (how'd i get here?)
  161. [14:09:42] Octavia Ambrosia: (o)
  162. [14:09:42] Amir: (we were using shockwave
  163. [14:09:42] Octavia Ambrosia: (i see)
  164. [14:09:42] Amir: (both of us
  165. [14:09:42] Amir: (bc we r evil
  166. [14:12:16] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Roomy, get rekt.)
  167. [14:12:16] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Octavia hullo.)
  168. [14:12:16] Amir was clearly one to be reckoned with -- the power of the Sarradian was boosted with the powers of the sand. HE didn't know that he was using the power of the Desert's Fury or anything of that sort; only that it was.. Sand magic; a proper way to dub the technique. Sand goes to attack at the Shepherd, dissolving or mixing with his Ichor if not melted with it.
  169.
  170. To harm him -- the sands were desctructive. Everyone remembers the days at the beach in which you find it for months on end with you. However, there's another determining factor; ice magic. The Shepherd was of no match for something of this sort; but.. Amir continues on.
  171.
  172. His sand magic -- it burns, destroys, threatening to unravel countless amounts of work in simple seconds; the sandstorms he could summon were clearly powerful.
  173.
  174. "Get up.", he demands; an angered tone within his voice.
  175.
  176. He could kill the Mimic here -- and end whatever it was. His hand rubs at the mark on his chest.
  177.
  178. He was a monster.
  179. (Amir)
  180. [14:13:07] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Surprised you ain't dead yet.)
  181. [14:13:07] Shepherd: (( how compassionate of you, se ))
  182. [14:13:58] Amir: (you should speak for yourself
  183. [14:13:58] Shepherd: (( LMAO ))
  184. [14:13:58] Kalerion, The Harvester: (The most compassion, I can display since I am desentised to death.)
  185. [14:13:58] Kalerion, The Harvester: (*Shrug*)
  186. [14:14:49] Kalerion, The Harvester: (I lost both my arms now..)
  187. [14:15:40] Kalerion, The Harvester: all I need is to get blinded, an to lose both legs.)
  188. [14:15:40] Kalerion, The Harvester: To become the real invalid.)
  189. [14:16:32] Amir: (brb
  190. [14:19:56] Amir was right to acknowledge just how strongly his ice magicks and sand magicks afflicted the mimic-- the former especially. Shepherd had lost oh so many battles recently, and it damaged his mentality so greatly! Against the Urayan woman had he won, but she was a target, really. Granted, she'd hunted him down, but wasn't it shameful to take such an easy victory? When, later, he'd be stricken down by the likes of her warrior-borne cohort. It made Shepherd's ooze writhe with agony, and even now would this be his prime defense against the berating winds of the Sarradian - his prime defense agaisnt that which so greatly sought to tackle his willpower and see it to dust, just as it itself was.
  191.
  192. "Get up?", he screamed, practically! Anger surged through him yet further at the demand of Amir. The fact that Shepherd was being commanded by another-- that his physique felt less under his control with every ounce of strength he expended, and every ounce of strength that Amir utilized! Shepherd vibrated with fury, rising up from his fallen figure to oppose the likes of his opponent once again. "You think is having of any of the control over the Shepherd?! YOUR Shepherd?", he questioned furiously, obviously very distraught and deeply attacked by a mere two words of an enemy. A mere two words brought his mind to its limits, pushing him to demand further fighting - pushing him to fight to prove his supremacy. He'd do anything to shove Amir's teeth in the dirt and make him beg that he'd realized his place in the vile world of Valmasia.
  193.
  194. Yet, as he returned to casting his spells, that seemed not-so-likely.
  195.
  196. Still, he forged on as if it was beyond probable-- delusioned as per usual.
  197.
  198. "Shepherd will show of the brown-boy who is to be demanding things of here, yes!"
  199. (Shepherd)
  200. [14:20:48] Amir: (back
  201. [14:20:48] Shepherd: (( wb ))

  205. [14:22:30] {combat} Shepherd has been defeated by Amir! They're unable to continue fighting.
  206. [14:22:30] Kalerion, The Harvester: (..Lol..)
  207. [14:22:30] Shepherd: (( god DAMN ))
  208. [14:22:30] Lyric: (i was afk :c)
  209. [14:22:30] Shepherd: (( close ))
  210. [14:22:30] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Lyric hi.)
  211. [14:22:30] Lyric: (hi)

  213. [14:23:21] Kalerion, The Harvester: (With shockwave an stuff.)
  214. [14:30:11] Amir: (wait come over here with me
  215. [14:30:11] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Yeah but my only gripe is my shit agility an mcap.)
  216. [14:31:02] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Do you wanna RP btw Lyric.)
  217. [14:31:02] Lyric: (yea im open rn)
  218. [14:31:02] Kalerion, The Harvester: (You wanna start.)
  219. [14:31:02] Lyric: (if u gimme like 5 mins i can start)
  220. [14:31:53] Kalerion, The Harvester: (Okidoke)
  221. [14:31:53] Amir does not care about what Shepherd is saying -- nothing that he was saying, really. The creature? A silly... 'Mimic' who didn't know what they were talking about; thinking themselves greater than Amir was himself. Sand and ice fly at the mimic in furious manners; the sandstorms were fierce, powerful.. They were stronger than Shepherd, of course.
  222.
  223. Even if the mimic could fire back with as many magics as Amir could send at him, Amir managed to overpower him just barely -- and with that, the whip is called forth.
  224.
  225. The whip, simply made of leather.. Would be covered in ice -- sand trapped within it, as the man moves forwards.
  226.
  227. "Yes.", he declares.
  228.
  229. A simple word.
  230.
  231. "I said get up.", he states -- perfect Valmasian. Amir stands over the Shepherd, the weapon in his hand..
  232.
  233. Is lashed upon the mimic.
  234.
  235. Once.
  236.
  237. "Nostvale.. Has saying.", he states -- another lash.
  238.
  239. Twice.
  240.
  241. "Always.",
  242.
  243. Thrice.
  244.
  245. "Stand again.".
  246.
  247. With that there's a flurry of five more lashes - all in a row upon the mimic.
  248.
  249. Amir was furious; one could not act so high-and-mighty around him.
  250.
  251. "So, get up."
  252.
  253. This time, it lashes next to him -- ice breaks off and shatters in all directions.
  254.
  255. "Get out."
  256. (Amir)
  257. [14:47:15] Wild, wild hissing--
  258.
  259. Amir was correct in calling the mimic a vile monster, as he truly was nothing less nor more; at his core, he was a machine designed for the sole purpose of extermination. His race's purpose was for the elimination of humans, curious as they might prove in the meantime - and even now, while he had yet to discover that purpose, Shepherd was incessantly Sinful. Even when not fulfilling his purpose was he a depraved pile of scum, but even so! Even so, his delusions held fast. This, though... This would surely test his resolve. He'd been imprisoned before in a sphere of Holyearth, singing his ooze at every forced touch - beaten so badly his senses hardly recovered for a week or further. As regenerative slime these punishments had injured him.
  260.
  261. But he hadn't let them beat him.
  262.
  263. He hadn't let it overwhelm his Pride nor his desire to stay strong. As is aforementioned, though.. the whippings, the torturous implements of Amir - they go a long way to push Shepherd to the utmost of his limits. The godlike gifts of the Sin of Pride itself hadn't come to his rescue this time, nay, and perhaps, he couldn't help but wonder, he'd disappointed himself. Or perhaps he'd not remained truthful enough to his incessant dignity. Either way was Shepherd horribly damaged-- screaming in pain, or perhaps it was merely the sounds of his ooze burning and boiling away, he'd leave behind a pile of personal 'treasures' - junk more than anything else, piles of splinters and other evidences of his successes abandoned before the ilk of the Sarradians as Shepherd shuffled and slimed away as best as he could.
  264.
  265. Would he let it beat him? Would this be the end of a trek, a journey endured throughout much of his travels through Valmasia? The end of all the work he'd put in?
  266.
  267. No, no! Broken as he might be after a million of the same experiences, of people kicking him in the teeth and slamming their knees against the back of his neck and in the deepest portions of his falsified gut, Shepherd knew not to let go so easily. He knew that it'd come so long as he remained dedicated-- forcing himself into the nearest sensed source of salvation, he'd grit nonexistent lips and urge his ichor along.. no longer melting whatever it glided over, Shepherd was soon to dip into one of the many lakes or ponds of Nostvale - and, using that method, he'd swim under and hopefully out into the ocean, assuming there was a link somewhere along the line.
  268.
  269. Nothing would defeat his Pride.
  270. (Shepherd)
