Daiki Akio: Age 16 - The orphaned son of a fisherman, Daiki is naive, idealistic and more than a little bit oblivious. However, he's also generally responsible and has moments of surprising insight when he overcomes his ditzy tendencies.
Dorcas Stout: Age 19 - The apprentice of the local blacksmith, Dorcas took in Daiki and Khallah when Daiki's father disappeared. He's serious, sarcastic and hardworking, with a strong sense of duty. However, he can be stubborn, and is often convinced his own ideas are best.
Khallah Akio: Age ?? - Found as a toddler at the entrance to the village next to the bodies of his parents, Khallah was adopted by the Akio family and raised as Daiki's brother since they were both young. He's a huge fan of stories and music, and has shown an amazing ability to master any instrument. However, he's never spoken a word, so it can be hard to tell what he's thinking. But he's easily amused by the antics of his friends, and usually the first one to notice the events going on around them. In short, he's perceptive and thoughtful.
Raquel Swift: Age 17 - A kitsune girl who was kidnapped by slavers when she was twelve, Raquel was carted far away from home before she managed to escape. She found her way to the village where she too was taken in by Daiki's father, but she longs for the parents she left behind. She wishes to someday find her way back home. Quiet, proud and fiercely independent. She has a friendly rivalry with Dorcas.
Tobias Ianthe: Age 46 - A mysterious Siren wizard who recently came into the village alongside Mary Lee, Tobias has been locked up in his room at the inn almost all of the time. He's studious, serious, and will not tolerate any foolishness. Mary Lee greatly exasperates him, but no matter how she frustrates him, the two are often seen together.
Mary Lee: Age 45 - A gnomish monk with a zealous appreciation for life, Mary Lee came to the village alongside the wizard Tobias. She's often spouting somewhat outlandish wisdom, and her grasp of conventional language is somewhat lacking, but she rushes into everything with the enthusiasm of a woman half her age. She can also drink nearly anyone under the table.
