  1. Devourer
  2.
  3. >Driven by an insatiable hunger, Devourer live up to their name. Ravenous beasts in their own right, they have learned to draw strength from the things--or people--they consume in their bloodlust.
  4.
  5. >Bloody Feast
  6.
  7. At first level, a Devourer can eat in combat to give him strength. When he drops an enemy to zero or less hitpoints, he may spend a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity eating adjacent to the target. Such consumption does not necessarily have to be the target and can be some small piece of food (drawing it is a free action included in the act of consuming) although most Devourers prefer to feast directly upon those they fell. The target must have been defeated by the Devourer within the last minute. No matter how he performs Bloody Feast, a Devourer may only perform it once upon any given creature.
  8.
  9. After doing so, the Devourer heals 1d12+his level in hit points; if this puts him over his max hit points, the rest are gained as temporary hit points up to twice his barbarian level. In addition, he gains +2 on attack rolls for a number of minutes equal to his barbarian level; this bonus is not cumulative with itself.
  10.
  11. This replaces medium armor proficiency, uncanny dodge, and improved uncanny dodge.
  12.
  13. >Pack It Away
  14.
  15. At third level, the healing from Bloody Feast increased to 2d12+the devourer's level. In addition, he gains a +2 insight bonus to AC for 1 minute/level after eating. This bonus is not cumulative with itself.
  16.
  17. This ability replaces Trap Sense 1
  18.
  19. >Are What You Eat
  20.
  21. At sixth level, the healing Blood Feast increases to 3d12+the devourer's level. In addition, depending on the target's type, he gains certain bonuses and he receives an additional +2 insight bonus on attack rolls, damage rolls, AC, and saves against creatures of that subtype for 1min/level. The bonuses are as follows:
  22.
  23. -Aberration: The Devourer gains a +2 bonus to saves vs mind-effecting and fear effects, as well as against effects that cause ability score damage or drain.
  24.
  25. -Animal: He gains a +2 bonus on reflex saves and becomes immune to any environmental effects the animal can endure (for example, if in a cold environment he eats an animal that ignores fortitude saves vs cold, the Devourer is likewise immune during the duration of the effect) as well as one perception the animal had (such as tremorsense or scent).
  26.
  27. -Construct: The Devourer gains DR 5/Adamantine and a +2 bonus to fortitude saves.
  28.
  29. -Dragon: The Devourer gains a +2 bonus to saves vs sleep and paralysis effects. He also gains any energy resistance the dragon had.
  30.
  31. -Fey: The Devourer gains a +2 bonus to saves vs enchantments, as well as DR 5/Cold Iron
  32.
  33. -Humanoid: The Devourer may copy one class feature the creature had, so long as that feature does not have a limited number of uses per day (such as rage, smite evil, and spellcasting) or require a companion (such as an eidolon or familiar). When determining the effects of this ability, he uses 1/2 his barbarian level or the target’s class level, whichever is lower.
  34.
  35. -Magical Beast: He gains a +2 bonus on reflex saves and a +2 bonus on fortitude saves, as well as an additional +2 natural armor that stacks with any natural armor he may have.
  36.
  37. -Monstrous Humanoid: If the target has class levels he may emulate them as if he were using Bloody Feast upon a humanoid. Otherwise he gains ability as if it were a magical beast.
  38.
  39. -Ooze: The Devourer gains a +2 bonus to saves against effects that rely on sight and cannot be flanked. He may roll twice when rolling for concealment and take the better result; if he has blind fight, he can roll 3 times.
  40.
  41. -Outsider: The Devorer gains the energy resistance and immunities the outsider has. In addition, he is treated as being under the effect of Planar Adaption when on that outsider’s home plane.
  42.
  43. -Plant: The Devourer gains a +2 bonus against polymorph effects and effects that cause paralysis or poison. He gains a +5 bonus against sleep and mind-effecting affects.
  44.
  45. -Undead: The Devourer gains channel resistance equal to that of of the undead creature and a +2 bonus vs bleed and death effects. He may heal from negative energy and ignore the penalties from negative levels while this ability is in effect, although he still dies if he accrues enough negative levels to equal his HD.
  46.
  47. -Vermin: The Devourer gains a +3 bonus against diseases and poisons. When targeting a swarm, he treats its creatures size as one size larger than it actually is for the purpose of the damage he can do to it.
  48.
  49. He may only have one effect in place at one time. If he uses Bloody Feast upon a new creature while he has a boon in effect, it is replaced by the boon from the current creature.
  50.
  51. This ability replaces Trap Sense 2
  52.
  53. >Willing Flesh and Spirit
  54.
  55. At ninth level, the healing from Bloody Feast increases to 4d12+barbarian level. In addition, when the Devourer uses Bloody Feast he restores one round of rage and halves the duration of his fatigued condition once he finishes raging if he is currently doing so. In addition, his benefits become 10min/level as opposed to 1min/level.
  56.
  57. This ability replaces Trap Sense 3
  58.
  59. >Plague of Locust
  60.
  61. At twelth level, the healing from Bloody Feast increases to 5d12+Barbarian Level. The devourer make use Bloody Feast as a standard action as opposed to a full round; if he is raging, he may elicit to perform it as a move action instead.
  62.
  63. This replaces Trap Sense 4
  64.
  65. >Belly of the Beast
  66.
  67. At fifteenth level, the healing from Bloody Feast increases to 6d12+barbarian level. When performing Bloody Feast, he may choose to terrify his foes within 30 as subject to the fear spell, with the DC being 10+1/2 the barbarain's level+the barbarian's constitution modifier. In addition, if he succeeds on a successful bite attack on an enemy, the enemy must make a fort save (DC 10+1/2 barbarian level+STR mod) or the Devourer gains the benefits of Are What You Eat, except he gains no other benefits usually associated with Bloody Feast.
  68.
  69. This replaces Trap Sense 5
  70.
  71. >Abbadon's Maw
  72.
  73. At eighteenth level, the healing from Bloody Feast increases to 7d12+barbarian level, and the limit on temporary hit points increases to thrice his barbarian level. The benefits of his Are What You Eat abilities double, and the Devourer may treat his type as the type of any creature he has performed Bloody Feast upon in the last 48 hours, regardless if they were the most recent target of Bloody Feast or not.
  74.
  75. This repaces Trap Sense 6
