- Once more I find myself in this rift,
- Summoned to fight a war for which I do not care.
- But then I feel a gentle blowing breeze
- That whispers softly in my ears,
- Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth,
- InspirEd hath in every holt and heeth,
- The leaves and bushes rustled and waved and
- Wriggled to calm winds. And then she appeared.
- And then I knew I was not alone on this journey,
- Walking the old hills of this rift with the beautiful goddess by my side,
- We speed through space,
- Windforce hastens my stride,
- A tailwind lifting my feet with ease,
- And we are first upon the battlefield.
- Gently she glides, carefully keeping our foes at bay.
- Round her head circles a mobile bird,
- And she does not collide with the endless combatants like I do.
- In a heartbeat our foes dash foward
- And I am in their sights.
- So my time has come, has it?
- But the gentle goddess casts the bird, slowing their advance,
- And she grants us a chance to escape,
- Windforce hastening our stride,
- A tailwind lifting my feet with ease.
- Before we can return to safety a barrage flies our way.
- She waves her staff, the air around me deflecting their projectiles mid-air.
- Spears and frost arrows and bullets and saplings,
- All unable to break the strong winds,
- As if I were in the eye of a storm.
- And now, too, is my chance to strike,
- Her powerful gusts empowering my strength,
- And together we strike, return fire,
- Again cheating death,
- Before returning to base, while
- Windforce hastens our stride,
- A tailwind lifting my feet with ease.
- Gusts of wind build, build, build,
- She must have superior vision than I,
- Because she sends a great tornado toward the treeline,
- Destroying all in its path, and our foes take flight!
- These persistent fighters seem to be no match for the all-knowing goddess.
- And no matter how long they chase us down,
- She sends howling gales in their direction,
- These violent winds, signs of her growing anger and
- Impatience.
- And once again
- Windforce hastens our stride,
- A tailwind lifting my feet with ease.
