  1. Blazing Blood Struggle

  3. Good ideas are vital. This statement is pretty obvious, but there were so many things centered on ideas ahead of their time, yet were doomed by poor execution or marketing. Blazing Blood Struggle is a sad example of one of these, because the makers worked some interesting concepts that could make a timeless classic, yet ultimately it became completely forgotten.

  5. Graphics-wise, I would compare it to STALKER, at least from technological point of view, I think they came out at about the same time. Stylistically it's more like a mix of Red Faction and WH40k, hard to explain. I liked the parts where you're outside the bases, the planet looks pretty nice, you can tell they put a lot of effort into that. Audio on the other hand isn't very good, especially completely forgettable music.

  7. Gameplay is kind of a mixed bag, to be honest. Early parts of the game were stunning, with splendid AI, wonderful map design and great controls. Unfortunately, when you get to the space station, the game jumps the shark and becomes extremely linear and boring. By then it's simply mowing down identical soldiers with your space guns that somehow are able to fire ammunition of Earth soldiers. (wat)

  9. Story is where BBG shines. You are an alien living on a planet recently discovered by humans. Unfortunately for the natives, their body fluids are based not on water, but on gasoline. Because of this, the humans have started an invasion in order to sell the fuel from the aliens' bodies. The game starts when the protagonist escapes from captivity and sets out to defeat the invaders, which will definitely prove to be a struggle... As silly as the plot sounds, it's actually really well written. It has a great balance of action and suspense, and it even slips quite a bit of humor into this. Still, it gets a bit cliché at the end (part of the already mentioned jumping the shark), but it still remains pretty good.

  11. In the end, it's hard to really hard for me to do judgment on this game. FPS that should be played for the plot sounds incredibly strange, but that's probably not enough for most FPS fans, and those who don't like shooting games probably won't bother either, which is a shame.
