Post scriptum: Tinman's Google+ account ( https://plus.google.com/u/0/108497104778648132265 ) has been confirmed to already exist on 13th of December 2014, setting his profile image. No other activity has been found between this date and the 25th of May. Both the profile image and the cover picture are screenshots (Possibly to avoid EXIF data). The profile picture is dated 12th of December 2014, the cover is dated 25th of May. Both uploaded the day following the creation (Maybe because of timezone differences)

Date 25th of May 2015, a channel named "tinman" surfaces on Youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMhs9S0ebN8j67RPQnRIT4Q )  posting the first video, TIN_RE01.
For 11 days, every day a new video is posted. The first 10 are made with the same template: black screen with a series of numbers written all over, being read from a female voice with low pitch background noise. The eleventh one did not fit the template and is instead a collection of old, mostly black and white videos from what seems the WWII and Cold War era.

"I am the Tinman. Found the code? Good, then you've heard that the messages are playing backwards. Remember, there are always deeper meaning: the first one is for the gullible fools that can't see, that can't hear the second meaning he is calling out to us, because its dark and grief is only the start. You must realign and hurry forth. If you have listened this fare grace will bestow; we must quickly carry out the missions set before us."

(Note: all dots, commas, colons, semicolons and apostrophes are added by me for readability reasons. The only non-letter character in the actual videos was the question mark.)


It is very important to note that most of the other hidden content (a few examples here, more in-depth later) can be found by using the hints hidden in these messages:
	"Remember there are always deeper meaning: the first one is for the gullible fools that cant see, that can t hear the second meaning he is calling out us" an example is in these 10 videos themselves, to a 'gullible fool' that can't see or hear the hidden meaning those look just like a bunch of numbers being read out.
	"You must [...] hurry forth" almost all of the hidden audio clues require the audio to be sped up 300~500%
	"You must realign [...]" one clue was hidden in the background noise of the woman counting and it had to be put back together to be a 1-9 count (As in THE KEY) then reversed and sped up.
These are just a few examples; the entirety of the discoveries can be found below. What I'm trying to say is that these messages are not cryptic just to be edgy, but hide solutions to other parts of the enigma.



These 10 videos were also put into a playlist in tinman's channel, play in reverse order (Possibly hinting to the hidden message in the titles) and is titled with another code: 1005130212050103191710
Some investigation was put onto this code, without much result as of yet.
The only findings that were made about this first code, is that it is convertible to text with the simple ciphering, but it makes no sense.
Decoded, it becomes JEMBLEACSQJ.
Also, because the voice in the videos did not read the zeroes, it was thought that they have to be removed from somewhere, and actually, this code is the only one that even without zeroes can still be converted to letters and becomes OMUYMSQA. **See Fourth Wave section for more about this**

I found out this playlist had not always been named as such. Searching on Google to get to tinman's channel, I stumbled upon the cache entry for this playlist's page and it had a different name:

copied here: 28th of May 2015, only 3 videos out of 10 available (The others private) playlist called 025091. Deciphered as the videos, it translated to "SET"


One of the first findings was in the titles, when put in order 1-10 and reversed, they would make up a message that read

ITSNOTOVERIMSTILLHER
"It's not over, I'm still her"

It's currently unknown if "her" actually refers to an actual person, but it's most likely supposed to mean "I'm still here" and the last character probably was lost because they were an odd amount of letters.

The Introduction actually matches the first video's numbers, with the only difference being the space in "tin man" which wasn't in the video. Also, the tagline's message was backwards, but not the same way of the video messages. The video's numbers had to be put into reverse 1 by 1 for the result to make sense, in this case it was needed to either put them into reverse 2 by 2 or to reverse the decoded text.


Investigations at this point focused on the meaning of this last video. It has been found out that upon playing it in reverse and speeding it 3~4 times, a message and some music would play: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1kgbxzJ2Zsq
The message seems to either say "Mitchell is God/dead/here" , both the voice in the beginning and the singing voice ("Mitchell-Mitchell is dead/here, Mitchell-Mitchell is dead/here" and so on)

In THE KEY, between 2:05 and 2:23, while the video is showing an hallway, a series of dials with numbers flash. This is also the segment where an unidentified laughter plays in the reverse-500% THE KEY. Investigations are still being made, at the time of the writing, to uncover the series of flashing numbers. At the 2:22 mark of THE KEY, the same woman's voice from the 10 videos is heard counting 1 to 9. This seems to be the whole cut of the other videos, with the only difference of the background noise in those. The audio from the number videos was taken and put back in order ("You must realign...") reversed ("the messages are playing backwards") sped up ("... and hurry forth") and filtered to remove the counting voice, resulting in this: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1DjX0bZzJPz that has been interpreted as "Stand back for further evidence" or "Stand by for further orders" (This last one would match with the last message in the 10 vids "We must quickly carry out the missions set before us")

14 June 2015, video TIN_BODY1 is uploaded, followed after 30~60 minutes by 5 more videos. These are mostly uploaded with the title numbers in descending order exception made for video 05 that instead of being first is last.

The reason, if any, for this order is currently unknown.

As per the first batch of videos, these last 5 contain a series of digits and a voice reading them, again skipping the zeroes. The first big difference that can be noticed is that in this batch, the digits appear inside circles, as such: ⓪①②③④⑤⑥⑦⑧⑨

The first thing that was discovered when TIN_BODY1 was uploaded was the fact that there were 2 audio messages hidden in it, both slowed down, one in reverse the other not.
The audio clip that is in reverse, when straightened out and sped up was discovered to be President Kennedy's speech to the Congress about space missions, slightly edited.

The meaning of these has not been found out yet.

At this point, anons on /x/ began noticing a pattern on TIN_BODY1, as the dots blinked, actually spelling out words in morse code. It has been transcribed and decoded:

BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE FOOL

This seems to be a reference to the movie "A Christmas Story", where the kid, Ralphie, gets a decoder ring, gets a message off the radio composed of numbers between 1 and 26 and uses the ring to decode the message, that becomes "Be sure to drink your Ovaltine". The only difference between the two, besides the way it was encoded, is the addition of "fool" at the end of the message in tinman's version.

The only hint that can be taken from the movie seems to be the enciphering method. This is still being investigated.

A consideration about the structure of TIN_BODY1's numbers:

The 2 digit numbers are in order: Left to right, top to bottom. The 1 digit numbers also are in order but only if you split them in series by the 2 digit numbers like this:

Notice how splitting where the 2 digit numbers change now the 1 digit numbers either become singles or ordered couples.



One more thing that has been found in all of the 5 videos from this batch is the background noise, it's the same in all of them ( https://img.4plebs.org/boards/x/image/1434/39/1434394460369.png the green/yellow spikes below the 5KHz mark). When put into reverse, sped up and filtered a bit it becomes a voice, saying what seems to be "Are you a fool or a sinner".

The letters in the filenames, once put together composed the word Ubchi. Ubchi is the name that the french gave to a ciphering technique used by the garmans, very similar to the double transposition used by the americans.

This can be decoded with plain substitution but yields CSRAYMSNTALB. This time, removing zeroes does not mantain its properties and cannot be decoded using this metod to a string. **See in Fourth Wave section for more about this**

So far, this is only a single video; it's similar to the first batch of videos contentwise (a series of numbers separated by spaces) but the title is formatted in a different way.

It's been discovered that "You be see ache eye", once read out loud, sounds exactly as the spelling of Ubchi. At this point, it is believed that tinman is actually monitoring progress. In fact, when this video was uploaded, the correlation between the titles of the videos of the second wave and the Ubchi cipher had not yet been discovered.

This is believed to be a Youtube URL ciphered using Ubchi. It has not yet been deciphered (As Ubchi requires a key to be decoded properly) the only thing we know about this key is that it's made up of a single word (aka no spaces - there's a small chance it could be multiple words stringed together without spaces altogether but it's unlikely)
The cipher has been decoded, the video is below: THE PEN. The key used to decode it was discovered through brute force and forms the following column disposition:

As for the first 10 videos, this video contained a message that could be found putting the numbers back into order, reversing and speeding up the audio; the resulting audio can be found here: https://instaud.io/private/ac30f0de8e7504471ca7a3aab547d859fa9308ec what the voice says is uncertain. Best bet so far is "Her fate is yours" possibly hinting to the fate of the girl in THE PEN (More on this below).

In the video, a woman can be seen in what appears to be a jail room, behind bars, held against her will. She is seen hitting the wall, as if trying to catch the attention of potential people passing by outside.

The video is heavily distorted and staticky. In the distortion effects of the video tinman himself appears and can be seen here: https://imgur.com/a/uSwU8
This image is similar to the one used as profile image on the account, but not the same. In this image, part of his chest can be seen, as well as his eye peeking through a hole in the tinfoil. He seems to be wearing a jacket with a padded hoodie and a red shirt. This is the best image of tinman we have to date.

	Find the key to the Ubchi enciphering and find the youtube URL, either with the key or by brute force. DONE

Some of these are heavily distorted, possibly beyond recovery, with hardly any chance at interpreting it.
They do seem to reference a game ending, being fun and having work ahead, possibly hinting at an increase of difficulty (That appears already obvious.)

The video titles, when put together removing the TIN_ part make up "031918012513191420011202X" and this is also the name of the second wave of videos' playlist: "031918012513191420011202" - "CSRAYMSNTALB". This also may hint at some kind of connection, but we haven't been able to make it out yet.

The playlist have been decoded, they are texts put into numbers (letters to numbers cipher) after being put through substitution.
