+nationalparksign . __ It's as though "NASA/ESA" have to produce a minimum number of "ISS tours" each year or risk losing their funding.

Not sure what's going on with his sniffles - whether he's got a case of "space flu" or is feeling "emotionally overwhelmed" like "Peggy Whitson" but during his "post-flight" interview he was sporting a bandage on his hand/wrist to draw attention to one of those IV contraptions.

If he was sick then a rare opportunity to study a "sick" astronaut has been missed (by making him stay on - though not sure when the "tour" was supposed to have been done). Wouldn't "they" need to study actively sick "astronauts" if they are seriously going to send folk to Mars?!

On a related note - *what is the youngest person to pay a visit to the "ISS"?* How can it be "they" haven't studied the effects of "zero/micro-gravity" on young people? If much of the "research" is about studying the effects of sustained weightlessness on the human body then how can it be that after more than 15 years there has never been an 18 year old or a 21 year old aboard?

Wouldn't it be far more motivational and inspirational for school children to see someone who is young during the "ISS interviews"?! ("I studied hard and now look where I am! You can do this too!")

If they have sent wealthy (older) "private citizens" - _as well as mice_ - to the "ISS" then the "training" can't be all that crucial just so long as there are fully trained "astronauts" to deal with any emergencies.
