"Are you sure that's right?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I don't see why you needed so much Kadabra whisker for a beauty potion..."
"Ha! Is that what I told you this was? I totally forgot!"
"Melanie?"
"Oh man, oh geeze, you are in for a helluva surprise!"
"Melanie."
"Too late!"
"MELA-"

The voices are cut off by a concussive blast and the room fills up with a strange, sickeningly sweet smelling smoke. When it clears, a young woman sits coughing on the floor. It takes her a moment to pull herself to her feet, where she looks around in horror.

"Mel...Melanie?!"

She hears a quiet grumbling but can't find a source.

"M-Melanie...? MELA-"
"Keep it down, would ya? I have a splitting headache."
"Where are you? I don't see you..."
"Heheh...wanna see something cool? Go look into the mirror, Lunie~."

Hesitantly, Luna scrambles over to turn on one of the fans to the room. She misses the switch completely at first, a switch she's flipped hundreds of times. She shakes her head and scoots her hand up to hit it before stumbling out to her room. She can't help but notice a palpable feeling of paranoia and dread festering at the back of her mind.

"I swear to Ululane, Melanie, you fucking idiot..."
"That's not very nice, ya know!"
"How are you hearing me?! Where are you?!"
"Heheeeh, patience!"

Luna scowls as she sits down at the vanity in her room, taking a moment to adjust to the lighting of her room. She stares at her reflection and is confused by the woman staring back. Why does her hair have green highlights and a weird...emo-ish style? Punk? Some unholy fusion? Why does she look...a little...wrong? Cute, but some of her more prominent features are diminished and some others she's never noticed stick out. She pushes away the hair covering one of her eyes and screams at the sight of the wild, blue (in stark contrast to her usual brown) eye flicking around inquisitively.

"Oooh, we're cute!"
"M-Melanie...you...I...we? That was a potion of fusion, wasn't it, you fuck!"
"Hahaaa, bingo! I've been doing sketches all week while you were away, wondering what we'd look like!"
"Goddamnit, Melanie, this is exactly the sort of thing we've been working on with the therapist! Well... how long will it last? It should be 15 minutes tops, right?"
"Ah... I wanted time to appreciate it...so I might have put in some...Dialga shavings."
"WHAT?! Where did you get... MELANIE! How long will it last?"
"Oooh, I eyeballed it, so somewhere between 48 hours and a week?"
"Melanie...I have a show tomorrow night!"
"Oh, that'll be fun!"

Luna stares at the eye winking back at her. Melanie. Calling a vigorous social activity fun, even ironically.

"You, of all people, think it would be fun to dance around on stage in front of thousands of viewers? Come on."
"Well...yes, actually...I've wanted to do it for a while but it's...you know how I get. The video of my League coronation got a lot of views... I figured this way would be easier! Uh...sorry?"

Luna sighs and rolls her...eye. The wild one doesn't follow.

"You dummy...you could have just asked."
"...the thought occurred to me at least, but this seemed easier!"

Luna hides a smirk behind a hand.

"Idiot..."
"You know I can still feel that adorable smirk!"
