Dear Professor Griffin,
    I am a student that is very interested in the internship that you mentioned in class. I've talked to you a few times after class to express my interest. After meeting you, taking the class and looking into the field I realized that this aligns with all of the things I want to do and relieves all of the discretion I have about finding a career. I look at you and see something that I'd really want to have: opportunities for crazy experiences, helping struggling people, having a great sense of humor, maybe a family one day.
    I made a pretty radical choice recently to not attend the 3rd trimester at K college. I plan to transfer to Michigan State (but I also applied to Western). I told you that I might go to Belgium during that time, but I don''t think I can afford it anymore.
