- Headin' north, nearly asleep at the wheel
- Must've seen every mile marker by now
- It's been a long day huntin' down the skyline
- Outlined by these fields with stone walls and tall blinds
- Such a view makes me feel alive
- Pulled off the road to rest my eyes
- And as shadows move off into their own
- The Blue Ridge Mountains and their (acheness?) drive back home
- Home is a breath away
- And I'll miss the beauty of stone walls from the highway
- And they take me back
- To the hills near a ragged mountain
- The engine turns over in the morning dawn
- Then wearin' on me, this road travelin' on
- Still I am coming for the horizon
- And as the day opens up, I feel the sun risin'
- Home is a breath away
- And I'll miss the beauty of stone walls from the highway
- And they take me back
- To the hills near a ragged mountain
- Home is a breath away
- And I'll miss the beauty of stone walls from the highway
- And they take me back
- To the hills near a ragged mountain
