Penny tries Ice Cream

>Penny had just snuck out of her caretakers grasp, and was now out on the town.
>She had wanted to see her friends again, but first she had to find them.
>She didn't really know where to look, or where to start, so she figured for now, she'd just start walking.
>The townspeople were all fascinating to her, all talking about a tournament, or about Dust being stolen, Faunus movement, or just their lives in general.
>"This must be how humans interact with other humans." She thinks aloud.
>She walks along and sees one girl in particular that catches her attention.
>The girl is facing away from her, but she has pink and brown hair.
>It was noticeable because everyone else seemed to have one shade of hair, while this girl had two.
>Was it natural? Or synthetic?
>Penny must find out.
>As she follows the girl, she sees the girl turn into a building.
>A sign of the building shows a large cone shape as a base, and two circular shapes atop it. One of the circles was green, the other pink.
>What was this oddly shaped thing? Could you get one of these things in the building?
>Is it a weapon of some sort?
>Too many questions, Penny just decides to follow the girl into the building.
Penny enters the building, and sees many of the patrons of the building holding much smaller versions of the cone and circle shaped things.
>They were eating the circle shaped things, and many had smiles on their faces.
>So it's a food then.
>Penny looks around and sees the pink and brown haired girl stand behind other people in a line.
>She steps behind the pink and brown haired girl.
>"Hello Miss! My name is Penny!" She exclaims.
>The face of the girl is one of unexpected excitement.
>"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you. You just looked very friendly, and I wanted to talk to you and your hair is very interesting and you walked into this building and the small round shaped objects made me curious and from looking around it looks like something you eat and it looks very good and is your hair naturally that color?" Penny rambles.
>The girl gives her a quizzical look, not understanding how someone can talk that much without breathing.
>"..."
>"I'm sorry, I don't understand. You're not saying anything and waving your hands around. Did I do something wrong?"
>Neo pulls out a pen and paper, writes something, and then hands it to Penny.
>"Yes, my hair is naturally this color. This is an ice cream shop. Have you never heard of ice cream? And no, you haven't done anything wrong. You're just very...friendly. Also, I'm mute. What I did with my hands is Sign Language."
>"Oh. Well all of that makes sense. No. Where I'm from they don't have ice cream. What is your name? My name is Penny."
>"You already told me your name, but thank you for the reminder. My name is Neo."
>"Neo. What an interesting name!" Penny exclaims.
>Neo isn't really sure what to think.
>It's Neo's turn in line, she gets her usual and sits down.
>Penny follows her.
>Neo eats a scoop, her face filling with delight.
>"Would you mind if I had a bite?" Penny asks.
>Neo shakes her head. She walks over to the counter to get a spoon.
>She scoops up some for Penny, and offers it to her.
>Penny takes a bite.
>SENSORY OVERLOAD
>"MY! It's cold! So cold!"
>Neo smiles from ear to ear.
>A lump of cold ice cream is sitting in Penny's mouth.
"Whath I do with thit?" She garbles
>Neo makes a swallowing motion with her throat.
>Penny swallows, the cold blob now traveling through her system and giving her chills everywhere.
>"My! That was cold! But...good." She realizes.
>"Can I have another?"
>Neo just smiles, and the rest of their time is spent with Neo and Penny eating ice cream.
>After they're done, they both get up to leave.
>"Thank you very much friend Neo for the ice cream! I really enjoyed it, and hope to see you again."
>Neo writes something and hands it to Penny.
>"Likewise Penny. See you around."
>Neo gives Penny a wave, and the two go their separate ways.
