vincent rolls each broad shoulder with a shrug, unhooking his fingers and placing them flat at his sides. catalano sits up in his seat, wishing to level with his interviewer given the more personal nature of this second question. he meets their eyes with his own brown hues, not sure what kind of intimacy he expected from the exchange. [b]"i was born here in queens, actually. both of my parents were raised in the city, and they just kind of stuck around? my paps had to since he was inheriting my grandfather's shares in some exportation company, and by then mom was already head over heels for him so she stood too. they got married at some point and boom, out came i."[/b] vincent rubs the blunts of his palms together, carefully balancing the task of recounting his origin story with his desire to flirt up a storm with his interviewer. [i]damn, life is hard.[/i] [b]"i guess what keeps me here is what keeps everyone else in the city. jobs, opportunities, family, that kind of thing. the city's all i've ever known. i'm sure places like florida, kansas, they're nice too, but i'm a city boy. i actually live for the sounds of the subway waking me up at 4 am on a tuesday night before finals."[/b]

[b]"boy, am i ever! new york is one of those places where when you're on time, you're late, and if you ever want to be on time, you have to be early, if that makes any sense. it's definitely a place where people hate having their time wasted, so if you don't want to make enemies here, learn to be punctual. it's essential to your survival here."[/b] vince once again shrugs his shoulders, smoothing out his pants with a swipe of his hands. he hops up and out of his seat, leaning forward and stretching out a hand towards his interviewer, all the while still maintaining his immaculate smile. [b]"speaking of being on time, i've made a reservation for dinner at a place not far from here. only problem is, i'm one person and the reservation is for two. care to take this little appointment elsewhere?"[/b] his intentions are a wee bit transparent, but hey, inhibitions are what the wining and dining is for, right? <p>
