- I am writing this so I don't have to tell the same story over and over again.
- First of all, I was getting BSOD whenever trying to use my capture card. I finally decided to call Lenovo Tech Support. I called the number on the website. They made me do a clean install of Windows and told me to try my capture card again. After getting the same error, I called them back. This time they said that they had to transfer me to 'A better Premium Tech Support' So I said okay and was transferred to this other woman. She said that she was going to inspect my PC. She told me to go to lenovo.com/premiumsupport and I did. At the bottom I followed her step and chose remote access at the bottom. She gave me a four digit code and then I ran a program. She now had control of my PC. She downloaded this program onto my computer. This program is a legit anti-malware program called Hitman-Pro. She ran a scan and nothing was wrong. She then did this Lenovo scan crap which the program didn't even seem legit. It said I had 5 errors and 1 was critical. She said to me "We have found registry errors on this computer." Now first off, this was a clean install of windows. Secondly it didn't even show what the errors were! Then she said since this is a software problem it is not under your warranty! She then prompted me to pay for the problem! $65.99 for a one time fix and fucking $19.99 a month for this fake shit. Overall guys, please listen to me. Be aware of everything you do on your computer, even if you thought the "trusted" person was legit.
