  1. >It truly was the final battle versus the forces of evil. Star and Marco were just barely holding along but still had a winning chance.
  2. >The fight was getting so brutal both were sure they were going to die multiple times. With Star knocked out cold, Marco had but one shot to save everyone.
  3. >One powerful-ass beam of magic about to destroy everything? Not on Marco's watch. With every last bit of willpower left in him he charged up and stopped it with his bare fist. This perfect blow from the newly-black belt was so potent it destroyed the wand casting it spell, and vaporized the final evil.
  4. >Earth was saved... but Marco was left a mere statue by his heroic deed. The people of Earth vowed to never forget what he did on that day.
  5. >It soon became apparent he may come back one day. No one can could say when, but a certain few waited what seemed like ages for Marco's return.
  6. >Now, after all this time... he's back. Marco Diaz is back in action, right? Maybe for a moment or two, but his smile and optimism couldn't last. The world - his world - has changed.
  7. >Star, grieved by the loss of her best friend, thinks about him every day. She has since reconciled her issues with Tom, getting back together with him and thanking Marco for finding it in herself to make that decision.
  8. >Jackie has newfound appreciation for Marco... but only for his martyrdom. Almost like some crazed zealot, every word that comes from her mouth is "noble sacrifice" this and "you've inspired so many people" that. He doesn't even recognize her.
  9. >Alfonso and Ferguson are now incredibly more popular at school, especially with girls, just for having been friends with the guy. They seem to have no time for him now.
  10. >Jeremy is now lodging with Mr. and Mrs. Diaz and has claimed his room and all his stuff. Marco cannot move back in with them.
  11. >A glimmer of hope. With nowhere to go and no money, one day in his wandering Marco stumbles upon a box labeled "To: Marco" with the "From:" section smudged off
  12. >It's a number of things he recognizes as his - all of it stolen and (until now) unreturned goods. Something's definitely up.
  13. >There's a note on top of this stuff: "Hey. If you're reading this, then I was right. You really were still with us while you were in there. It's gonna be rough for you now that you're back. Come with me if you want your life back."
  14. >On the back is an address with a date and time the sender wants to meet him. It's the same day he's reading it, but the location doesn't seem familiar.
  15. >He digs to the bottom of the box and finds a pair of interdimensional scissors, but notices the aesthetic to them is a bit more... "old country", almost gypsy-like.
  16. >"This can only mean one thing," Marco mutters to himself. He takes hold of the scissors and cuts into the space-time fabric as best he can. His suspicions were correct...
  17. >...right there and then on the other side, Janna is waiting, reaching out her hand.
  18. >"It's gonna get a little weird. It's gonna get a little wild."
  19. >and so she pulls him through the portal and a new adventure begins...
