  58. The idea of this team is to use psychic terrain as a shield against the large amount of priority in the tier and as well as to boost psychic attacks. Lele is an obvious first choice and I chose the set to help break Chansey, Blissey and stall in genral. Lele should be used like a weather setter, as a few members rely on the terrains effect, but you can Calm Mind up against more passive pokemon and start dent the opponents team. Thats why Lele is carrying the Terrain Extender, so Lele doesnt have to be switched in as much, as well as giving time to get both Xerneas and Deoxys-A in.
  59.
  60. My next choice was Deoxys-A, the perfect monster to abuse the terrain, with high speed, monsterous attack and a absurdly strong stab move whilst terrain is up in Psycho Boost, Deoxys-A was the perfect candidate to abuse this power. Most teams rely on priority to beat it as its defences are non-existant, but with terrain, Deoxys-A is free to spam attacks. That would be the case however if assault vest Alolan-Muk and Magearna and other steel types like Celesteela didn't exist. A-Muk is especially notable as it can Pursuit trap Deoxys-A and take it out with ease. This is where Z-Focus Punch comes into play. Z-Focus Punch ohkos A-Muk after 2 rock switch ins most of the time, and finishes off Magearna after it switches into Psycho Boost in terrain, Superpower with rocks, and Focus Punch (for real prediction legends). Thunderbolt is there to help beat Celesteela, always 2hkoing on switch with rocks, though if desperate, terrain boosted Psycho Boost into Z-Focus Punch also does the trick. Thunderbolt can also be used to finish off weakened opponents without using Psycho Boost or Superpower. The speed investment allow Deoxys-A to outpace max speed base 130's.
  61.
  62. Xerneas is there as my second abuser of terrain. A lot of teams have a reliance of beating Xerneas with priority, like Deoxys-A, from the many Espeeders in the tier or Bullet Punch from Mega Lucario. Psychic Terrain works as the perfect shield, which makes Xerneas surprisingly scary as well as also protecting Xerneas from prankster moves from notably Klefki. This allows Xerneaas to set up on more mons than before, not being scared of being weakened for the priority users in the back. 240 hp investment is so that Xerneas avoids the 2HKO from Life Orb Yveltal's Oblivion Wing. The 84 Speed investment allows Xerneas to outspeeds up to +1 Adamant Mega Salamence when boosted.
  63.
  64. Primal-Groudon serves as the main check to the majority of pokemon in the tier, but notably for the team, opposing Xerneas and as a rock setter, which is also extremely important to the team as it allows team members to pick up important koes. Primal-Groudon also works as a nice switch in for electric and water types and checking Ho-oh and Primal-Kyogre, which both are very scary for the team due to there immense bulk. As we all know Primal-Groudon is not slouch when it comes to offence either, boasting more attack than an adamant Garchomp uninvested, so providing nice ground coverage as well as support in burns from Lava Plume.
  65.
  66. I chose Arceus water as my team defogger as well as providing vital team support. Ice Beam is ran over Judgement to hit Mega Salamence, which is a huge threat to the team. Toxic is important in wearing down Calm Mind users without any status recovery, this also helps check Xerneas without Aromatherapy. The water typing is important too as it can help relieve pressure off Primal-Groudon from Primal-Kyogre as well as sponge and recover off powerful attacks, such as Draco Meteor and Ho-ohs attacks, which would otherwise leave a large dent on Primal-Groudon. The speed investment is to outpace jolly Primal-Groudon and Ho-Oh as well as other max speed base 90's, allowing it to cripple threats with Toxic before taking a hit.
  67.
  68. Ho-oh was chosen as the last mon to fill in the weakness of scarfers that threaten the main offence, shrugging off damage from Xerneas and Lunala and special attacking pokemon in genral. Xerneas and Lunala are two huge threats outside scarf, but Ho-oh can also check these, doing massive damage to Xerneas whilst avoiding ohko from +2 Thunder and potentially burning Lunala, stopping its Shadow Shield from working at its best, as well as also doing huge damage.

  120.
  121. Keep in Mind:
  122. Although Deoxys-A attacking as a scary wall breaker, getting it onto the field is easier said than done, as a mere sneeze should be enough to topple it.
  123. Calm Mind users are highly annoying for the team as it mainly consists of special attackers. Lunala and Arceus are notable as they can outpace Ho-oh, the teams main physical attacker.
  124. Scarfers are also annoying for the team as there are no pokemon on the team to outpace them, or priority to beat them. Lunala and Xerneas are very good at this, though they can both be exploited when locked in.
