  1. Neptune looked right at me. “So, what’s with you and Nep Jr?”
  2.
  3. “What do you mean?” I questioned.
  4.
  5. “The two of you are always together like a couple of newlyweds.” I brought my right hand up to my face, my index finger on my mouth and thumb under my chin. Her eyes narrowed “Look buster, I’m not going to give Nepgear to…” she looked right at my index finger and saw something that wasn’t there before. “…anyone.”
  6.
  7. I brought my hand back to the controller. “Is there something wrong?” I asked in fake concern.
  8.
  9. “You’re engaged?” She said slowly.
  10.
  11. Thank you IF for showing me a ring shop. “What do you mean?” I looked at my hand in fake shock and back to Neptune. “I forgot to take it off!”
  12.
  13. Neptune paused the game. “When did that happen?”
  14.
  15. “While you were going around to Leenbox, Lowee, and Lastation playing games with your friends.” This is going to be an easy bluff. “A classmate and I hanged around and found that we have a lot in common. We started dating and after a month, I popped the question.”
  16.
  17. <Bluff cheek – Critical Fail>
  18.
  19. “At least that’s one less person after my little sister.” She bought it, that’s good. She unpaused the game as she started beating my character. Sadly, she found my flaw. “Why are you mashing buttons instead of making combos?”
  20.
  21. “I’m not that good with fighting games.” I admitted. “I’m good with rpgs and shooters, but fighting games is my one gaming weakness. Do you happen to have another game we could play?”
  22.
  23. “That’s the procrastinating spirit!” Neptune hopped off the couch and removed the game from its tray. After a moment, she put a new game inside and started it. “If you’re good with rpgs, then this game should do the trick.” She sat back down on the couch as the title screen appeared. A dark figure with wings appeared on the screen, followed by the title Fallen Goddess.
  24.
  25. I looked at the year on the title screen. “This was made almost four years ago.”
  26.
  27. “I know.” She pressed New Game and we were welcomed to the character select screen. “I was going to play it back then, but the hostage situation and stuff got in the way.”
  28.
  29. “At least the four of you are free.” We picked our characters as the story segment played. It reminded me of the conquest ending from this dimension to the point that the last goddess went mad with power. The mentor of the last goddess summoned four people from a different dimension to help defeat the corrupted goddess. “At least it’s better than the last game I played.”
  30.
  31. “Oh, what was the plot point of the last game you played?”
  32.
  33. “Global masturbation.”
  34.
  35. “Wait, you actually played that!” She looked at me with narrowed eyes. “I thought I hid that game.”
  36.
  37. “Your sister wanted to play a game a week ago and I decided to give it a try.” Technically, it is true. “For someone who created a virus, he did it for a stupid reason.”
  38.
  39. “You should have tried the dlc for it.” The gameplay started, reminding me of Dark Alliance. “If you thought that was bad, the female villain wanted to use the virus to cause Global Castration.” For the love of god…
  40.
  41. The two of us played for two and a half hours, until Histoire found us goofing off. But, I felt someone watching me as Histoire gave us a lecture…
  42.
  43.
  44. It was now night time and I was in bed with my nightwear. I couldn’t help but to think back to what IF said earlier about the explosion. Nepgear was with me the whole day and I only saw her in the morning. She mentioned that she couldn’t sleep the time I woke up the next day because she was looking at my face that night. A little creepy, but there is no way she planted the explosion the night before. She would have to planted it in the morning, but I was away for five minutes when IF interrogated me in the Guild.
  45.
  46. “You got a text message! Hey, let me read it!” I pulled out my phone and looked at the text.
  47.
  48. “Onii-chan, meet me in the main office in a few minutes.”
  49.
  50. “Odd.” Nepgear texted me. But, with her sister back in the tower, she probably didn’t want to be seen walking to my room. I got out of bed and stretched. “It’s probably important if she can’t wait.”
  51.
  52. I opened my door and made my way to the main office. When I opened the door, no one was inside. Walking in and closing the door behind me, I took a set in one of the chairs. I took a look at the time, it was one in the morning.
  53.
  54. The door opened from behind. “Wow, you’re here before me.” Neptune! What the! I heard the door close and footsteps from behind coming closer to me. “I didn’t think you would show up.”
  55.
  56. “Well, you did text me.” She took her sister’s phone!? “Is there something you need?”
  57.
  58. She got to the desk and sat down, something odd in her eyes. “There is only one thing I want to know.” I looked into her eyes to see the power symbol. My eyes widen. “What’s wrong, Makie?”
  59.
  60. “Y-your eyes!” What is going on!?
  61.
  62. “Oh, you can see the difference.” A mature voice asked. Neptune’s body posture changed drastically. “Only Histoire and IF can see the minor difference. This makes things easier for me.”
  63.
  64. “W-where’s Neptune?” I must be dreaming! There is no way that this is Purple-
  65.
  66. “-Heart” she finished my thoughts. My eyes widen as hers narrowed. “Your facial expression is easy to read. Now, I’ll only ask once. What are you doing with Nepgear.”
  67.
  68. I looked at the goddess, thinking of something to say. “We’re good friends that-”
  69.
  70. “You’re rubbing the back of your head.” She sighed. Out of thin air, she pulled out a katana. “And here I thought you were smart enough to tell the truth.”
  71.
  72. Before she could swing the blade, I rolled out of the chair.
  73.
  74. *Cut*
  75.
  76. And the chair was split in two! It was either fight or flight. I made my move as the goddess started talking.
  77.
  78. “It would have been beneficial if you would have told the tru-” She stopped. “Where are you going?”
  79.
  80. I didn’t want to use this so soon, but I’ll consider this a test flight. I had ran towards the balcony and jumped off twenty floors. I heard her yelling as I brought out my cape. Putting it on my back, I pulled a string to unleash a hang glider. As it was night time, no one was awake to see someone freefalling out of Neptower and deploying a white hang glider.
  81.
  82. “That’s too close for comfort.” I couldn’t believe it. Neptune and Purple Heart are two different personalities. And the latter caught my bluff when I was playing games with Neptune! “At least the wind is coming from behind,” Making it easier for me to travel to Virtual Forest.
  83.
  84. As soon as I got close to the area, I slowly descended to make a clean landing. As soon as I hit the ground, I pulled the same string to turn the hang glider back into a cape. At the same time, I heard something from behind. One quick turn around and I found the target I wanted to avoid.
  85.
  86. “To think that you’re the one that built those snowmen at Blanc’s Basilicom.” A transformed Purple Heart pointed her weapon at me. “But, this chase is over.”
  87.
  88. “…” I couldn’t say anything. I was screwed. No, that wasn’t the right word. I was royally fucked! There is no viable way I can take down Purple Heart in my weakened state. Even if she lost some strength, she would still defeat me! I wasn’t going to go down without a fight. I got ready to use my rendition of Tornado Sword.
  89.
  90. “This is your last chance.” She said, throwing me off guard. “What have you done to my sister?”
  91.
  92. “What have I done with Nepgear?” Let’s see… “I built robots with her, helped her with quests, gotten raped by her, played games-”
  93.
  94. “Hang on a moment there.” She walked up to me, her sword still in her hand. “What’s this about rape?”
  95.
  96. “You wouldn’t believe me.” Her eyes narrowed. “Really! I would sound like I made the whole thing up!”
  97.
  98. “Did you not pay attention to the bluff check at the beginning of this what if scenario?” You’re breaking the forth wall! “While my human half bought your lie, I can read your expression.”
  99.
  100. “Well, where do you want me to start?” I asked.
  101.
  102. I had explained what had happened two weeks ago in my room, leading up to the incident in my room. I couldn’t tell what the Goddess was thinking. I told her about the incident in the cave, excluding one key detail.
  103.
  104. “Then I woke up when-.”
  105.
  106. “You left something out.” Aww come on!
  107.
  108. “It’s not that important.”
  109.
  110. “Even when she was moaning someone named Mark?” Wow, Nepgear sleep talks. “No, I saw her working on a new device that allows people to talk while they sleep.” Are you reading my mind!? “Your shocked expression gave it away.”
  111.
  112. I sighed and told her to wait until the big unveiling. I told her how we escaped the cave to when Histoire and I were talking in Neptower. I left out the trip to the clinic and went straight to that night. All of that night was explained as I could see her right hand twitch slightly. I was going to skip what happened in the morning, but I don’t think I could hide it.
  113.
  114. “Wait a moment,” the Goddess motioned. “The two of you…” She was shocked at what I had just admitted. “…did it in the chair I was sitting in.”
  115.
  116. “It was in a moment of weakness.” I admitted.
  117.
  118. “But, you went along with it and gave in to your desire.” The Planeptune CPU countered. “To make it worse, you did such an act in my office.”
  119.
  120. “We didn’t leave a mess at least.”
  121.
  122. “That’s not the point I’m getting at.” She sighed. “Now, would you continue with your story?”
  123.
  124. “S-sure.”
  125.
  126. I talked about the game Nepgear and I played and remembered that stupid plot point. Histoires lecture about the rating system and her attempts in burning my red shirt collection. Then I got to the night and morning part and my disappearance.
  127.
  128. “And then I woke up in Yarmouth hospital.”
  129.
  130. “There is no hospital by that name…” She stopped mid-sentence. “…here.”
  131.
  132. “I’m from a different dimension.” I replied. “One where all this is a videogame that people can buy.”
  133.
  134. “Then you know all of the events that would transpire.” I could see her hand shaking. “And you didn’t bother telling anyone about it?”
  135.
  136. “Would you have believed me if I told you that I’m from a different dimension without proof?” I shot back. “I only changed one thing in the timeline and two people figured out my situation because I wasn’t careful.”
  137.
  138. “Who figured out?”
  139.
  140. I gulped. “Histoire and Nepgear.” I replied. “Histoire found out after a midnight exploration and Nepgear found out by reading a journal.”
  141.
  142. “Then how did you get back here?” she inquired.
  143.
  144. Sighing, I retold the mini adventure I went on in my dimension. From waking up in the hospital, to visiting Megin, and to the incident in the park where I used one of Noire’s skill.
  145.
  146. “You used a Goddess’s skill?” I calmed myself and focused on a wooden sword. Pixels waved around my right hand as a wooden sword was formed. “You’re not using it, you’re emulating it! Have you tried anything else?”
  147.
  148. “I did attempt another one, but I collapsed after using it.” I admitted. I dismissed the wooden weapon, it dissipated in pixels. “I’m weaker coming back here.”
  149.
  150. I continued onwards with my story with returning home for the first time in 6 months and the run in with my ‘glorious’ sister and her bat. I talked about her plans with me and the murders she had committed. Then came when Nepgear saved me from a fate worse than death and her solution to my throbbing problem.
  151.
  152. “Let me get this straight. Nepgear went to your dimension to save you and the first thing you two do is have sex while your real sister watches.” I’m going to die, aren’t I?
  153.
  154. “It was half induced by the drug and half feeling for your sister.” I admitted.
  155.
  156. I then explained the aftermath of our connection and what I did. I then told her how I got by to the Hyperdimension and taking pictures of my sister’s diary to send to the police.
  157.
  158. “And that’s about it.” I finished. “Two days passed here while only one day in my dimension. That’s when IF found out about my predicament and promised not to tell anyone.”
  159.
  160. “I see.” She was tapping her foot. “Why did my sister rape you?”
  161.
  162. “Have you heard the term yandere before?” I asked.
  163.
  164. “Yes, Vert went on a huge explanation a few years back about deres and warned us about them.” A moment passed. “I see.”
  165.
  166. “I’ll be honest. I love Nepgear, but I never chased after her. All I wanted was to be friends with her. I was happy when she wanted to call me her Big Brother and didn’t think anything of it. But, that incident happened.”
  167.
  168. “Are you saying you hate her now?” The CPU narrowed her eyes.
  169.
  170. “It’s not that.” I replied. “It’s just I did a little digging on yanderes in the past and found something I didn’t like. The one thing I found was that they don’t see themselves as people… They view themselves as an entity made out of the impulse or desire to be with their loved one…”
  171.
  172. “I don’t want her to think of herself as an object or for her to randomly kill her friends or you just because they looked at me funny! I want her to be happy and have fun with her friends! My feelings haven’t changed for her, but I don’t want her to do something that will potentially kill her because of me!”
  173.
  174. “Calm down, Mark.” Purple Heart looked both shocked and angry. “While I’m not happy about your predicament and background…” she sighed. “…I don’t see a problem with you dating Nepgear.” I looked at her in shock. “Under one condition. In order to marry her, you’ll have to defeat me.”
  175.
  176. “I’ll fight you one I get my strength back.” I replied. I figured she would say something like that. “My body was in a coma like state for a year and you’re weaker than normal due to the diminishing faith.”
  177.
  178. “There is one more thing I want to discuss with you.” I felt like I wanted to run away from that smile. “And that’s using protection while-!”
  179.
  180. “Not the talk again!” In less than 24 hours, I had received the birds and the bees talk twice… Next time I see the Arfoire, I’m going to smack her in the face! But, at least I told Neptune/Purple Heart about my situation. Now, I have to fight her in the future.
