At the age of 9, he started helping his parents at their coffee shop. He would study and go to the coffee shop after. At school, he would always rank at the middle, not at top and not at the low ranks. He is smart but not as smart as einstein. He is a middle-level of smartness. He joins the dance competitions at school and would sometimes win. After hearing his sister that is also a trainee at SM, he wanted to audition. He auditioned and got accepted when he was 15. At his training days, he would always get praised for being confident and a hard-working trainee.
