Prologue

Pic 1: The road into Strangetown, the billboard etc. “Strange County, Simvada 24th of February 7:30 am” a legend says.

Pic 2: A body [Piper Sparks] lies lifeless on the ground near the billboard (areal view)

Pic 3: Someone [Crystal Vu] drives by and stops her car.

Pic 4: She approaches the body and gets a face expression of fear.

Pic 5: She calls the sheriff's department.
“Strangetown Sheriff's department, Kendal speaking.”
“I've found a woman. She's dead.” Crystal spoke with a shaky voice
“Slow down, where? Do you want me to direct you to sheriff Mann?”
“No, just send him down here. I'm at the billboard just outside town.”

Pic 6: Same area as where the body has been found, but filled with police officers and journalists

Pic 7: Sheriff Mann is surrounded by journalists.
“Do you have any comments on the murder, sheriff Mann?” The sheriff looked at the news reporter with a look that basically said “Go away”. But as the professional sheriff he was, he gave the reporter an answer:
“During my years as sheriff here in Strangetown, around 20 years to be exact, I have never seen anything like this. I moved here because of the peacefulness, as I should have retired a long time ago.” The sheriff looked revealed, as if he wanted to have this said a long time ago but kept it inside him instead.

Pilot S01E01

Pic 1: Special Agent Penelope Redd is driving her car “Strangetown, Strange County, Simvada 24th of February 11:30 am” a legend says.
Speaks into voice recorder: “John, 11:30 am February 24th. Entering the town of Strangetown, 12 miles east of the state line. I've never seen so many cacti in my life. 66 degrees on a slightly cloudy day. Weatherman said sun. Mileage is 79.345, gauge is on reserve, riding on fumes here. I've got to tank up when I get into town.”

Pic 2: Penelope continues to drive
Speaks into voice recorder: “Lunch was 6 dollar and 31 cents at the La Fiesta Inn, that's at the university town of La Fiesta Tech. That was a tuna fish sandwich on whole wheat, slice of cherry pie, and a cup of coffee. Alright, looks like I will meet up with a Sheriff Dan D. Mann at the Strangetown Town Hall.”

Pic 3: Penelope has now reached the billboard
“John, scratch that. I am now at a big billboard and it seems to be something really huge here. I can count to 3 police cars, 2-3 news vans and lots of people. I bet this month's salary that the sheriff is among those.”

Pic 4: Penelope leaves the car and goes to the scene
Pic 5: Penelope introduces herself to one of the police officers:
“Special Agent Penelope Redd from SCIA, I'm looking for a Sheriff Dan D. Mann”
“He's over there, ma'am” the police officer pointed at the sheriff who was busy talking with another news reporter.
