- Sister Octavia stepped out into the street, looking about warily, her pole-arm was soaked in heretic blood and only her iron grip kept it from slipping from her hand, she took a moment to crouch and wipe it clean enough to prevent that from taking place, looking about and shaking her head at the piled corpses from the senseless violence. Suddenly her head shot up and she dived forward, in time to dodge the collapsing wall behind her and the figure that had smashed through it, looking back and raising her weapon she came face to face with an arbites, clad in his black armour with runes and symbols daubed on it with innocent blood, shouting profanities and charging her, gore soaked power maul in hand and raving face visible without it’s helmet. Calmly she stood, spinning her pole-arm before striking forward, catching the beast of a man in the forehead and causing him to crash into it with both his weight, and the force of her thrust, a resounding “Crack” of metal meeting bone sounded through the street, the traitor flailing back as blood poured from his cracked skull. Wasting no time the Sororitas spun her pole-arm again, connecting kinetic energy as her opponent screamed incoherently at her, his vision blurred and only able to make out the barest outline of the woman. Gnashing his teeth at her the arbites trator charged again, swinging with all his might, crackling arcs of energy causing the maul to give off a smell of ozone and cooking meat. Octavia ducked the crackling mace, swinging underhand the back of her pole-arm into his side, the kinetic energy stored causing the armour to crack and shatter, before being driven up into his vulnerable side by the force of the weapon, the arbites screeched in abject agony as the shards of armour pierced his vital organs, armour now soaked with his own blood more than that of the city’s own, and he collapsed forward. Octavia strode forward, the dark skinned, black haired sister’s whithering gaze falling on the man as she brought her foot down on his head, grinding her heel in as she leant down to pick up the maul, the submissive whines of the brute receiving no sympathy from her as she removed her foot and brought the maul down on the back of his head, caving in his skull and releasing him from his miserable life. She tossed the soiled weapon to the side before wiping down her pole-arm once more, turning to look down the street, the night sky still lit with smog and orange flames dancing from the Arbites court house. The warrior turned on her heel, marching towards her objective, tapping her weapon on the floor as she went, announcing to any traitor in hearing distance one, terrifying fact, vengeance was coming.
