  1. A: And there you are, designed and drawn out. What do you think?
  2. B: Oh, wow, I look great! Such an eye for detail, such precise line work. I love it. So, when do we begin?
  3. A: Begin?
  4.
  5. B: Yes, begin! Now that you've created me, surely you want me to embark on some perilous adventers. Perhaps maybe fight dragons or sail with pirates?
  6. A: Oh, um, actually...
  7. B: You're right, fantasy really isn't my forte either. Scifi is where it is at! I'll be a starship captain gone rogue from the republic! Free to do as I please with no rule or-
  8. A: You're not a starship captain!
  9. B: What?!
  10. A: You're...not a starship captain. Or a dragon slayer, or a pirate lord.
  11. B: Oh, well, haha, that's alright. Let's see what else there is for me to be. I could possibly-
  12. A: You're a scholar. You own a library and you're a side character.
  13. B: W-what?
  14. A: You're not the hero. In fact, with a bit more fleshing out you will prove to be quite the coward.
  15. B: B-but I can be a hero, right? I mean, you wouldn't go through the trouble of detailing out a side character for just a few lines of dialogue, would you? I could still have a character arc, I could be a small time hero!
  16. A: Or a bit part villain.
  17. B: Excuse me?
  18. A: I haven't decided yet, but you might play a role as a small time villain. Perhaps just a mook, but at least you'll get a bigger part than just a librarian?
  19. B: But as a villain? I don't want to be a bad guy, they never get any fans. They're never loved!
  20. A: Au contraire. There are plenty of villains out there that get loved and adored. Some even have more fans than the hero!
  21. B: R-really? Like who?
  22. A: Well, for starters there was Hannibal Lecter. He was part of a book series and now he even gets his own show. What a villain he was and such horrible things he did, yet he is still a very beloved character by many people.
  23. B: Well that's just one person!
  24. A: There is also the Joker, Elphaba, Freddie Kruger- Hell, have you seen Loki's fanbase? Just because you're a villain doesn't mean you won't be loved. Besides, ah, I suppose I do have an affinaty for writing villains.
  25. B: You do?
  26.
  27. A: Mmhm, they're so much more interesting to me. I mean, it won't be easy on you. All the tragic backstory of the hero but none of the supporting cast to help pick you up, but you will be interesting and developed.
  28. B: Can you promise that? That I'll be interesting and loved? Can you really be sure of that?
  29.
  30. A: I can't promise it to you, I don't even know if people will read my writing, but I can try.
  31. B: I suppose that's okay...
  32. A: Hey now, don't get down on yourself! Even if no one else read my stories I'd still be here to love you. You're my character after all! Who knows, maybe I'll even write a prequel series about you.
  33. B: Really?!
  34. A: Maaaybe, I still have to write out the rest of the characters before I even get ready to write the story.
  35. B: Oh how much fun, my own side series? Ah! Who would have known? I wonder where I'm from...Probably a little town. *continues prattling about what his story could be like*
  36. A: *sighs, talking to self* It's always the same, isn't it? Think up even the littlest spark of a character and suddenly they're alive in your head telling you their hopes and dreams.
