  1. >different worlds connected by portals
  2. >The majority of the world is green and full of flora
  3. >Post-apocalyptic far future where medieval societies have just resurfaced and ancient technology is a very rare and sought after commodity (weapons, robots, etc.) and elite knights pilot giant super rare symbiotic mecha suits a la Escaflowne.
  4. >Moderately strong magic and psychic abilities exist (they are two separate things though)
  5. >No furries exist in any worlds although there are demihuman races with animal ears and tails
  6. >Medieval Cold War between four factions (three massive kingdoms with large spheres of influence and the church) with lots of proxy wars and mercenaries, guerrilla fighters, rebels and citizens getting caught in between the outright warfare and more covert spying.
  7. >Not only do they fight for ancient technology caches (and possibly more giant fucking robots) but also control over the gates
  8. >Due to some strange sort of technology wiping event, all of the old-world technology can only be re-ignited and used through a sort of magic.
  9. >The species you play as went extinct years ago, and you're all replicas originally made for "domestic" purposes, and the dying species last act was to mass install free will in a sad attempt to preserve their culture.
  10. >Fantasy monsters such as goblins, dragons, etc. have started leaking from an unknown world gate and causing havoc.
  11. >One of the kingdoms is a British Empire type empire that bases its ideology on bloodlines and nobility, another is a USA based nation that champions freedom, democracy and liberty while at the same time covertly doing everything in their power to undermine it in countries that would become hostile to them and the third is a USSR style nation but obviously more competent
  12. >Elves are really smug in their small forest kingdom, being so good at magic and being long lived and physically superior and having low birth rates but they're aware that humans are the ones that really run the show and under all that smug is pure terror that their bluffs will be called and they will be wiped from the face of the Earth
  13. >Only the elf elders are aware of their precarious position and all the other elves (including the royalty) are fed BS lies about elven superiority and how backwards everyone else is and no one finds out that they are lies and starts mass panic because most elves never leave their kingdom
  14. >The world portals open at random times for a random duration (some could open for years before suddenly closing for a century and others could open for a few minutes everyday, etc.) and there aren't any reliable ways to control this (yet)
  15. >each portal has an indestructible tollbooth that each houses a truly immortal entity, and nobody could get past without the entity's approval
  16. >The factions barely have any mecha, with all of them having 3 or 4 max
  17. >The mechs have big pauldrons and capes
  18. >The mecha cockpit is positioned where a penis would be a la Zone of the Enders
  19. >There are long, winged snakes which fly in packs and hunt birds.
  20. >Each mech has a unique special move
  21. >Angels are likewise giant machines as symbols of order.
  22. >Demons are fully organic and have no set shape, symbolic of chaos
  23. >Devils are also machines, since they are highly stratified evil.
  24. >The portals are in set locations in each plane, of which there are ten, set in great circular gates.
  25. >These gates are old world technology, and the attendant guardian is new world magic.
  26. >Whether these Worldgates lead to worlds within the same universe or to worlds in adjacent universes no one is sure.
  27. >Angels want to wipe just humanity out for unknown reasons.
  28. >Demons want to wipe out all life because that's all they know.
  29. >Devils want to wipe out all life save humanity for unknown, probably malicious, reasons.
  30. >The human mechs are named after famous swords (Excalibur, Durandal, etc.) even though the history behind the names has been forgotten.
  31. >Eldritch horrors from beyond the cosmos that are somehow related to what wiped out the advanced civilization are starting to show up
