  4. __
  5.
  6.
  7. +Pot Head (P07H34D) __ Oh, are you now a mind reader?! Between a range of possibilities you just _"know" which one he really meant?"_
  8.
  9. Uh huh. We can test this very easily.
  10.
  11. Suppose we were to do a survey where we got 100 people who do not know who he is and have never heard that sentence before.
  12.
  13. Imagine we played for each of these people the audio of what he had said. No visual - just the audio.
  14.
  15. And so for each of these 100 people they hear him say:
  16.
  17. *"I'm looking forward to seeing them here soon"*
  18.
  19. And then each person is to tick a box as to what they think he meant.
  20.
  21. There will be the following six options:
  22.
  23. ______
  24.
  25. AUDIO: *"I'm looking forward to seeing them [family] here soon"*
  26.
  27. WHICH MEANING:
  28.
  29.
  30. 1) He is looking forward to seeing his family soon in time but neither he nor they will be physically near each other. (I.e., it could just mean a simple phone call.)
  31.
  32.
  33. 2) He is looking forward to seeing family soon in time and his family will be going to his current physical location (i.e., they will be going to him - they will soon in time be where he is; he will be receiving them soon).
  34.
  35.
  36. 3) He is looking forward to seeing family soon in time and he will be going to his family where they are physically located (i.e., they will be receiving him; he will travel to them from where he now is.)
  37.
  38.
  39. 4) I can't decide what he meant.
  40.
  41.
  42. 5) It is not possible to know what he meant.
  43.
  44.
  45. 6) What I think he meant isn't listed above.
  46.
  47. ______
  48.
  49. I am curious as to which box 100 people who have never heard of this gentleman and never heard that particular line might respond.
  50.
  51. You are telling me that you would choose either box 1, 3, 4, 5 or 6.
  52.
  53. After all, according to you *everyone would tick either box 1, 3, 4, 5 or 6 right?*
  54.
  55. No one would tick box #2, right?
  56.
  57. Isn't that what you're saying?
  58.
  59. But we both know that most people - *_if not everyone_* - would tick box #2.
  60.
  61. That's because HERE means HERE WHERE HE IS WHEN SPEAKING.
  62.
  63. That's because HERE overwhelmingly means "physical location".
  64.
  65. If you say "come here" - someone will go to your location. If you say "come here now" to someone they go to your location immediately. If you say "come here soon" they will soon go to your location. But according to you it means something else!
  66.
  67. If you ask "are the guests here yet?" People do not reply "yes, but soon".
  68.
  69. People simply respond "yes" or "no" depending on whether the guests at that moment are at the location.
  70.
  71. The waiter says "your meal is here" when giving you your food. If the waiter says "your meal will be here soon" it means the food is not there but soon will be where you are.
  72.
  73. If I were to write to you: "I'm looking forward to talking to you again here soon" then it means talking to you on THIS THREAD. This thread as in HERE on this thread and not some OTHER thread.
  74.
  75. *Just how stupid are you willing to be in order to defend this slip?*
  76.
  77. To understand it any other way requires removing the meaning of the word "here".
  78.
  79. *And if you are going to do that then you need to be a "mind reader" because everyone is going to be ticking box #2.*
  80.
  81. *So how would you explain that?*
  82.
  83. How do you explain this?
  84.
  85. Since you claim to be a mind reader and "know" what he "really meant" even though no one would actually tick that box.
  86.
  87. Yet you are determined to TWIST his words and their meaning so as to fit your belief that the "ISS" is real.
  88.
  89. You are doing nothing unexpected for someone who is belief controlled. Since you *"believe it is real"* then he MUST have meant something else. Even though in the real world NO ONE would ever construe that meaning.
  90.
  91. The only way to construe the meaning that you are giving is if you BELIEVED he was on the "ISS" and that the "ISS" was in space and thus since it is impossible for his family to be with him he MUST have meant something else.
  92.
  93. That is the ONLY WAY to excuse this.
  94.
  95. But if we do a blind survey we will find NO ONE has that response because NO ONE knows it needs to be "excused".
  96.
  97. You are forced to twist and modify and change the meaning of words just to conform to your belief that it is real.
  98.
  99. This is fascinating. You are fascinating to Lesta.
  100.
  101. ____
  102.
  103. You have clearly lost. You are clearly in denial.
  104.
  105. Why do you think that people would respond differently if they only hear the line and don't also know where it has come from.
  106.
  107. Answer that (i.e., explain why you think the survey won't reflect your interpretation).
  108.
  109. If he were lying about where he was then what he said makes PERFECT SENSE. There is no need to do any "mind reading". There is no need to invent any alternative meanings.
  110.
  111. If he is simply lying about being on the "ISS" then his sentence does not need to be understood in any special way.
  112.
  113. He simply f_kced up and revealed that he wasn't on the alleged "ISS" at the time of speaking.
  114.
  115. Your denial is kind of fascinating. Everything you are writing is consistent with a "belief controlled" individual who really believes the "ISS" is real.
  116.
  117. But once you grow up and realise that need not be the case then that catastrophic slip suddenly makes a lot of sense.
  118.
  119. If there are several possible meanings. And if the majority interpretation would imply he wasn't really on the "ISS" then you have to be in denial to auto-dismiss the possibility he is not on the "ISS".
  120.
  121. ____
  122.
  123. I must say that you sure are good value! *I actually think you might even believe what you're saying!*
  124.
