problem hiding "my personal details" tab via jQuery

In our current opac I hide the "my personal details" tab with this jQuery:
$("#doc3 #bd #menu li:contains('my personal details')").hide();

I've added this to the opacuserjs in our test environment but it isn't working and I can't figure out why?

Tried:
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#opac-user #doc3 #bd #menu li:contains('my personal details')").hide();
});

now I see that *none* of my jQuery in opacuserjs is working
